I see other reviews where even though the subscription was cancelled, the next set of meals were sent and charged. I had to call a telemarketing center and spoke to someone reading a script who hung up on me when I requested a refund. Unbelievable customer service for something that appears, at first glance, like a great idea.
The meals were repetitive, not healthy, and not for a family. Truly too good to be true and a bit of a scam regarding the billing post cancellation. I hope someone finds a way to report their shady practices.
Used a discount code that covered 9 weeks total. Received either wrong or missing ingredients in 7 of the 9 boxes. Most recently I paid an additional £14 for a meal containing duck breast (this put that one meal up to £29 plus shipping). The duck breast was missing, when I spoke to the customer care team I asked to speak to a manager, I was refused. The resolution they offered was to refund £13, this doesn't even cover the cost of the extra fees I paid. Hello fresh expect me to pay £16 for what I could get out of the supermarket for under £5 and I still have to go there to get the meat!
The most inconvenient meal box company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Oh and the portions are tiny - don't let them fleece you for your hard earned food budget
Hello fresh tried to lock me into a box order by sending out expired vouchers that make you sign up and give your credit card information. Do not give Hello Fresh your credit information!
I received a coupon in the mail for a discount on a box. The website sets you up to place an order without any option to input the discount code. When I used the chat function on the website to ask about the discount they told me it was expired. I had gotten the coupon THAT DAY in the mail.
I followed the steps on the site to cancel my account, but I was still charged almost $100 for a box even though I got an email confirming my cancellation.
I called their customer service less than 24 hours after the charge had gone through and they tried to tell me I couldn't get a refund because Hello Fresh's profit margin didn't allow it. The service rep eventually said they would offer a full refund on my order after I got angry. We'll see if it goes through.
Kept getting unwanted emails and requests. No way to unsubscribe on emails. After a month of this banter I got a box of food. I got their # and called. Foreign person answered and told me that I had signed up with them and gave them my name, address, and email address. Absolute lie. I had never signed up with them, nor did I want their food. Who knows how it was packed or how clean the people were who packed it. They also used an old name of mine that I changed 3 years ago, and that told be they were just lies. Scammers!
I will NEVER use this company ever again. Good quality is awful plus they don't even provide all ingredients! A waste of money in my opinion. They charged me twice in one week so I called & asked for them to cancel my order & refund me & they absolutely refused. I will never use this company ever again. I wish I would have read reviews before going through with them..
Chose menu, chose date got confirmation email. Assuming correct food would arrive but it didn't. We had run down food in the house, food delivery refused as not suitable for allergies. No refund given. No food to feed children. Awful customer service.
I've used HelloFresh for few weeks and the food is good, 3-star, but not a fabulous 5-star. Some of the vegetable ingredients arrived spoiled. The servings are large and so are the calories. If you want to lose weight you will need to take a single serving of their lowest-calorie meals and split it in half or look elsewhere. They don't use whole grains in any of their meals and the majority of the meat offered at the "base" price is pork. Sometimes you can choose chicken, but most of the time you have to pay an upcharge for chicken or beef. The directions were easy to follow. The price for what you get is decent.
I tried your service and it did not work for me. I found that the produce don't last long and they are not fresh, so I cancelled the service. I received a confirmation on my cancellation and even though it did not work for me and my family I tried to show it to a friend and refer them because it may work for them and their family...but I soon found out through a Hello Fresh representative that logging into a cancelled account AUTOMATICALLY RENEWS YOUR ACCOUNT. I DID NOT RE ACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT...AND THAT DID NOT MATTER. IF YOU EVEN GO BACK TO LOOK AT AN ACCOUNT YOU CLOSED...THEY BILL YOU AND RESEND YOU THE MEALS... THIS IS ROBBERY!

I ordered June 23 from HELLOFRESH.COM. I authorize a one time charge for my order. JUNE 25 I see on my bank acct. That they help theirselves to charge my acct for unknown charges. I called canceled membership. Requested reimbursement for second charge they refuse say that is because you got premium meals. If this charge would of been on the order I would not of placed the order. This company caught my attention because they STATE you can join and get 16 free meals and free shipping. LIE LIE LIE. The company helps their self to your paying acct. With hidden charges that don't come up in placing order. BIG CON. I have paid 80.00 for food I haven't tasted nor seen. WARNING: turn back don't join. Good place to throw money if you have it t throw.
So I recently decided to check online this HelloFresh, since the advertising been hitting from everywhere, went online, started checking the meals, and somehow i been picked a meal plan by Hello Fresh(with 1st time discounted version meal plan). Noticed that somehow i been signed up for the delivery and decided to cancel the subscription right away because we didn't like the menu at all. Customer service just refused to help with this issue. So in the end I spend an hour on my day off trying to cancel this stupid delivery, with no luck. Thank God is $37 only, and the bank will issue a refund anyway just want to leave this bad experience here.
Horrible customer service. My husband and I had used Hello Fresh a while back and had multiple bad experiences- open meat that leaked all over the rest of our food items-rotten meat that smelled horrific and was discolored, rotten produce (happened a lot), and late deliveries. But, when they sent a coupon code and boasted newer better recipe options we were convinced to give them another try; hoping that newer and better would apply to their overall commitment to excellence. Not the case. They did not even deliver our last box. When I called about it, they told me that if I did not have the box (that had been delivered to a wrong address) in hand to return, then they could not refund the money we had paid. How does that make any sense. They recommended that I go knock on the door of the residence where it was delivered (again, not our address!) and try to retrieve the box. So confused and upset. Luckily I was able to dispute the charge with my credit card company, but for anyone looking to use Hello Fresh, don't bother. If they bother to deliver you food at all, it won't be fresh, and they definitely don't care. I was calm and tried to work through this call to arrive at a sensible outcome. They preferred to keep my money and not my business. Worst service ever!
What a Rip-off! Yes, I fell for the Free Meals offer. What a joke, the so-called free meals are spread over several "automatic" shipments. The food was borderline spoiled, so if it was not used the day it was delivered, it was already going bad. I received the first shipment, three days later than expected, so I already had two days worth of meals planned, so was not able to use it until the third day, so the ingredients had already started to spoil. THEN, I notified them to cancel the next shipment, but the "automatic" shipment (for Two meals for four) went out anyway, and took three days to be delivered from the day it was shipped, then, sat in the hot sun on my front step for over 8 hours because I did not expect the delivery and was not home. They billed my credit card over $100 for spoiled food! I just love throwing away $100 worth of food. The meat packages were warm to the touch, had leaked all over the produce, and other items, there was no expiration date on the meat or other "perishable" packaged products, (like the tiny sour cream pouches), and when I requested to return for refund, they outright refused, and after many back-and-forth emails, they finally offered a lousy $10 "credit" on my next order. I WOULD NOT order from them if they were the only food available in the world.
Just visit their website and my cc was charged without my authorization. I simply checked options and they said it activated my account. I called them the next morning and spoke to a very rude customer service rep who said it was not cancelled between their requirement time. Request to speak with manager still waiting. Spoke to anither rep this am who offered half the refund advised i do not eant their product at all. A supervisor is suppose to call. Don t even bother visiting their website Huge scam! Will call my cc provider to cancel
Signed up for a trial box with a code a friend gave me. They set me up for a subscription I did not sign up for and took $115 out of my account… my family can't afford that. I called customer service for a refund and I was told they could not give refunds. Insane after the fact I hadn't even got the box yet. I hope this business realizes what they are doing to people.
In order to view their meals, one has to sign up, which I did. When I looked at the options, I immediately deactivated my account because of their limited vegetarian meals. I received an email confirming my cancellation so I figured everything was fine. When I looked at my cc account, I noticed that I was charged for a plan even though I never selected any of the meals. I called to request that they cancel the order and refund me and the agent refused! She said that because I didn't "cancel the order" that I was responsible for the box that was going to be sent. I'm sorry, but isn't deactivating the account the same as cancelling it? I have ordered from other companies and I've never had this issue. Hello Fresh is unethical and can't be trusted. I will never recommend them to anyone! I wish that I could give ZERO stars
I was buying hello fresh regularly, I decided that I was bored of the meals and put my account on hold. However they continued to dmsend boxes of food, I was away for a week when it first happened and I got home to it rotting in my driveway. Even after Putting my account on hold they still took money from my debit card. I canceled that card and rang my back to stop giving he'll of reach authority. I reached out to them via their chat and asked them to please stop sending boxes and to cancel my account. I told then I had put my subscription on hold. They told me they could only refund half the money and that they would send the next box to a food charity, whatever. They didn't, it still arivved at my house. I am now being harrased! Absolutely harrassed by their debt agency for money, calls and emails. You are not getting any money. I canceled my subscription. I double checked that no more boxes where coming to my address. Please $#*! off a leave me alone
Answer: I signed up and realised its a scam - your first order is only able to be placed 2 weeks away, meaning they get your money even if you use a coupon... and from other reviews they won't let you cancel. I just registered a voucher, saw the dates and tried to cancel... and can't - there is no "cancel" on their website
Answer: You will still have to pay for delivery and such because this company says those things cannot be covered by a gift card. Beware signing up, because they will subscribe you as soon as you enter credit card information. It is in their Terms and Conditions at the beginning of the process.
Answer: You're automatically on auto ship…any week you don't overtly cancel will get sent out and you'll get charged.
Answer: Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
