I bought a lot of things with a coupon code. The coupon code didn't work, even though it said it did until it processed my payment. So shady! I called them within minutes and told them what happened. They assured me I would be returned the money. That was 2 weeks ago! I keep calling and they say because I used Applepay it takes longer to process the refund. I wonder how much longer it is going to to take for them to give me my money back.
I asked a question and the 2 managers where not able to help me. That's fine. But what is not fine is their service, one manager said she was busy doing something when the regular employee asked her to speak with me. I over heard her say I'm busy doing something. I asked a question and she says I'll ask the other manager, but I doubt it. Other manager came out, she did not even make eye contact with me, she says as she's walking up to the desk, sorry, cannot help., try to do it online. I stated they have helped me before, then she got a bad attitude with me and literally blew me off. I will never step foot in that store ever again. How di hire these people, where has all the good customer service gone. Very sad
Jcrew makes it virtually impossible to return. There's only one Jcrew store left in Colorado, can't return merchandise from a regular Jcrew store to an outlet and they charge you 7.50 to return by mail using their prepaid slip. Horrible company, quality has declined and they aren't what they used to be. Not impressed. Seems like they're on their way out.
I got the same pair of pants in both XL regular and XL Long. Already reviewed here the XL Long as ridiculously far too big. Two weeks later came the XL regular and this one has a bulge in the thigh that no normal human being has ever had. Apparently if you are an XL, any rules about the female body go out the window--any old shape will do. To be fair, NYDJ jeans also have too-big thighs, but not bulging ones like J. Crew.
J. Crew used to do at least 40 percent off everything, no exclusions for Black Friday. Whomever is in charge now should be shown the door. Practically anything of decent quality is excluded from their Black Friday discount. I refuse to support the new management team of this company with their rip off mentality. Practically every other retailer is doing steep discounts with no exclusions for Black Friday. J Crew has beautiful items this year but their Black Friday weekend is a joke. Don't bother buying from them as what you'll repeatedly find on their website is the statement "Exclused from promo." SMH at their arrogance and the fake "only a few left" inventory quantity warning on items which disappears and reappears by the hour. Total rip off.
I ordered items and jCrew sent to addresses from 4+ years ago and wanted me to call UPS to fix it when it was obviously their online order system that made the mistake - never will shop there again…..
I went to J. Crew at the Garden State Plaza yesterday where they were holding a jacket for me. I have to tell you there is a salesgirl I asked for her name and she said Johanna. S. Store #537. She was fantastic, caring, and extremely helpful and in my book over the top. Really went out of her way to help and accommodate me. She definitely is an asset to your store. I hope that she sees or hears about this review I'm doing because I'm sure it will make her day! I definitely will shop more with this store and this is what makes people come back and shop.
Sincerely,
Deborah A. Celentano
J Crew service and customer s service has deteriorated. I am a customer for over 10; years. I live in Philadelphia and cannot visit store, closed recently.
I have bought on line very often and sometimes had to exchange the item in store with no problem and friendly, professional employees.
Now on line purchases are paid via Comenity Bank.
I have only experienced unfriendly service when calling to pay my balance. I could not complete my payment on line due to a " glitch" as Comenity/JCREW communicated on line, so no choice.
I need to rethink buying at JCREW bc I don't like condescending, patronizing, rude customer service.
Disappointing merchandise in ladies shorts... which were "skimpy" in size... that ran TOO SMALL and I will have to exchange them. Other brands are more 'GENEROUS" in size as they run.
I attempted to order a pair of jeans. Had them in my cart and found a coupon code that brought the price from $49 to $35. Went to check out and decided to set up an account so I'd have a record. When I got back to my cart, the code was gone and price was back at $49. Saw where teachers could get a discount. Went through the steps for that. Went to the website from the email they sent that included the teacher discount. Those jeans were nowhere to be found. Waited awhile and tried again as a guest and got the price again to $35. Was going to check out as a guest, but couldn't and lost the discount again. Decided to try and chat with someone. Wrote out all that had gone on and they connected me to someone and immediately disconnected... Problem after problem! Very disappointed.
I have been a Jcrew credit card member for years now and I was having trouble logging in to my account and as a result I paid my bill two days late. I am not one to pay my bill late. It happened to me once in the past and I explained to a customer representative my situation that I was having trouble logging into the account because Jcrew was having website maintenance. I was surprised that a big company like Jcrew did not honor my request to wave the late fee. This is not good customer service. With everything that has been going on in the world today, you'd think they'd be more understanding. I am not one to write negative reviews, but Jcrew has been a favorite store of mine and now I am not sure I am going to give them my business anymore because of how I was treated by that customer service representative. I am sure she could have waved the fee. I can't be the only one who has had trouble logging in to pay my account while their website was under maintenance. It left a very bad taste in my mouth. I am truly disappointed.
I ordered a T-shirt with three buttons on the front on 1/30/20. Since then, I've worn it about 8 times. Two of the three buttons have cracked into pieces and fallen off recently when I was simply fastening them. Clearly the buttons are of very poor quality. I wrote to J Crew - and they responded that since it's been more than 30 days since the purchase, they aren't responsible. Really? If buttons were to break into pieces after 31 days, J Crew considers that acceptable? Sad, as J Crew used to be a respectable company.
Ugh J. C. do you hate women? I can call you J. C. As we have known each other for over 20 years. You were the place to shop for cool weddings and warm wool coats and beautiful suits. But now look at you, you traded quality for quantity. A lot of ill fitting, poorly made pieces. I can order the same style of pants in 3 colors and none will fit the same. You make dresses and shirts and jeans that could not possibly be made to fit the human form. You should have stayed in your lane. You were better than that at one time. I'm sorry but I just can't anymore. Goodbye.
To be honest I only shop the sale section of their website. They have had some issues with sizing and quality over the past few years but I am very happy with the items I buy on sale. I love the reviews on their site and never buy with out reading them. Shipping is not super fast but still acceptable. I don't have a store in my area to return items but never have any problem returning via mail.
I ordered a dress online for a birthday party I was to attend. I expedited shipping to ensure it arrived in time for the event. The delivery date was approaching and I noticed that the status of my order was still processing. I call customer service and was given an explanation that my order would ship from a local store and would arrive on the expected delivery date. The day after the item was supposed to be delivered, I got a cancellation email. According to their own tracking system, there was no way I was going to get it delivered on time. Customer service rep clearly misinformed me. I won't be shopping at J Crew anymore, not worth the aggravation.
They found me on indeed, the district manager emailed me to set up an interview. The position was lower than my current holding position which I was okay with as long as my salary was matched. The process was quick and easy, even the interview went well it lasted for a hour. However you can tell that Ashley wasn't thrilled to be interviewing me, however I kept my professionalism and articulated my words. I received a email saying I wasn't qualified a couple days after my interview, I was completely flabbergasted because my retail experience and background over qualified me for the position. Very distasteful experience, they ought to diversify their employees!
Purchased 2 ladies flannel on sale, they were about $20 each after paying shipping. These shirts are NOT anywhere near flannel. They are a cotton "wanna be" flannel. They were final sale or I would have returned them immediately. If you are looking for a cotton shirt made to look flannel this is the shirt for you. I purchased flannel on Amazon for the same price and they were real flannel. I'm very disappointed in J Crew and will stick with LL Bean for my future purchases.
I ordered 2 robes which were not cheap. When they arrived I expected there to be some quality to them based on the price. They were incredibly thin, cheaply made, ill-fitting, way too small and not at all true to size. I tried returning them, and J-crew made me return them separately so they could charge me two return shipping fees (even though they were shipped to me in one package). Then they charged a restock fee on top? When the sizes advertised were not even close to accurate. This is irresponsible and there is apparently no regard for the planet. Why insist on needless packing materials, postage, etc? Just to make an extra few bucks off your customers instead of serving their needs. Pathetic.
I got an item which run bigger that the real size. It was on sale the next day I bought it. I did not get any price adjustment and I have to pay to return it. Never again!
I don't recommend it. Because I have 2 shirts that has quality control issue and sent them.
But they didn't do anything because I don't have the receipt.
I paid for an item in full but they opened up a credit card in my name and started sending me late fees. The item itself had to be returned four times before they got it right. When I tried to discuss with the bank who runs JCREW credit cards, Miss Fitzgerald, she was too uppity to be of any assistance and didn't make an effort to redact the unjustified late fees. They have bullied and harassed me over a measley forty dollars, Do not under any circumstances do business with this company.
