Kate Spade would be rolling in her grave, if she only knew how her fashion line is being handled. Worst customer service ever! Spoke to a guy by the name of Steven, who is supposed to be a higher up at Kate Spade New York, who left me baffled at the way he treated a loyal customer like me.
I have a bracelet by Kate Spade that was given to me as a gift that recently became loose. All I asked was for it to be fixed. Kate Spade NY has a one year warranty on products, so no go for me, because the item was bought years ago. I even brought the bracelet to a local jewelry repair shop that I frequent often that told me they couldn't fix it, and they suggested I contact Kate Spade NY. After haven been given the run around by a few KSNY reps, Steven told me he would suggest a jeweler that could fix my bracelet. I got an email from Steven saying that Kate Spade NY has a one year warranty and that there was nothing they could do.
Wow! I'm so disappointed. Sorry Kate! You don't deserve this. You were an exceptional designer, and now your business is in the hands of morons!
Ordered $3K of items on Black Friday. Out of like 25,4 were missing. I call. I'm told it's not their problem because I used a third party address — aka Fetch. Which I'm required to use by my building. Wtf. They point me to some one line statement on their site buried on a page nowhere near checkout that says they don't shop to third party addresses. I told them well they did so how does that statement apply…
This was over $500 worth of items they stole from me and refused to even look into all because I had to deliver to Fetch. I'm a lawyer. Nowhere did it say they disclaim liability for such shipments. Nowhere on checkout did it flag third party address or provide any warning.

I am very disappoint. I purchase 3 items. I were returned 2 items on September-2022 and I was told that they sent out gift card on October 2022 but I never received it. I called Kate spate more than ten times since October 2022 finally they credited back to my card one item only on December 2022. I call to inquire that they still owned me one more item. The Kate spate supervisor mentioned that they change the new system and less workers. But that's not a reason and unacceptable to delay my refund for several months. As today January 2023 I still didn't receive my one item credit.
They offer Merchandise, you purchase it, they take your money then never send your purchase out! Then when you call they say,"So sorry we couldn't find a carrier in the last 14 days to pick it up and send it to you!" So we sold it to someone else and NOW there are no more! And to make matters even better they were never going to even tell me? The first time I ordered from here it was great! What happened to you?

When you tried to return the items you purchased in the store, their system was only willing to give half of your money and insisted that other half would be paid in merchandise card. Their sale manager made you wait for about 45 minutes, then saying you were causing trouble for them. How lovely! Don't shop there if you don't want this to be your experience. I returned the couple thousands dollars merchandise I purchased. Don't see any reason my money should contribute to their profits.
I ordered black Spade cut out gloves as a sentimental wedding gift. KS shipped them but they never arrived due to negligence and errors on their part. Then they lied to me multiple times. They blamed the post office even though it was their choice to mail it that way (the agent also told me this frequently happens with their orders so I know its not just me, do not expect to get your order). Kate Spade was extremely cruel and unprofessional. They lied to me several times, each agent made different unfulfilled promises and I never received the gloves that are now out of stock.
I received a purse as a gift and in last than a year the strap broke. I provided documentation and was told the purse would be covered under warranty I just needed to send back. I never received the "label" that customer service says they were sending to me to return the product even after multiple emails back and forth over two weeks. Save yourself a headache and buy something that's made to last. Kate Spade products aren't worth the headache or the money.
I have ordered from this company many times in the past years and they have gotten gradually worse. This is the last year I will order from them. I ordered a purse and wallet set (Black Friday deal - final sale) which I have done before with no issue. This particular purse is trash. The quality looks like something that my daughter would play with at playgroup. Thin "leather" and it just looks cheap. Now, this is the FIRST time in over ten orders that I have reached out for service and I told them that because it is final sale, I am happy to exchange it for another purse. Instead, they sent three canned responses that it is "final sale" so they won't do anything. Keep in mind, the only reason I want to return it is because it is not what I ordered. What I ordered was a quality bag and this is just garbage. I now have to dispute it with my credit card company which I am not thrilled about that. As you can see from here, their customer service is severly lacking so be warned. Anything you order, whether it is as described or not, it is now yours forever according to KS :(
I am no longer loyal to Kate Spade brand. My second purse purchased broke in less than 40 days. Amazing since I'd hardly used it in that time. The strap hardware just snapped. When I took the purse to a local Kate Spade retail shop they refused to help me with repair or replacement options because it was purchased at Nordstrom. When something you make breaks right after purchase and you don't try to fix it, it's a sign that this isn't an irregular issue. I don't have confidence in this brand anymore.
I ordered 3 laptop bags to give as Christmas gifts, only 2 arrived in good condition and the 3rd was left on the street close to my neighbors house and was ran over but a car. I contacted customer service and they offered to ship the destroyed bag. The new bag never arrived. Turns out they shipped to a wrong address. I called and one of their representatives told that they would gladly ship me another bag and she was very apologetic, but for some reason she said her system was acting weird and asked me to call back. The second representative refused to help me and I asked to speak with his supervisor. The supervisor Marcel Elmore refused to fix this problem. They accused me of inputting a wrong address and that it was my fault not theirs. I only live in one house. I don't understand how this can happened! Marcel Elmore did not even consider the time I invested and circumstances surrounding this problem. I am done with kate spade. Their customer service sucks and it seems no one knows what they're doing.
It would be awesome if people did everything they could to research a company before putting out money. They need to stop selling products they truly don't put themselves behind! I ordered an AirPods case. Cute as the $#*!ens. Two months later I went to take the case off to loan them to my husband and the AirPods case is stuck tight as glue to the bottom of the case. The top comes off, but the bottom of the Kate Spade case will NEVER come off. My husband is going to have to use a dremel tool to get it off! And I can't leave them in there because the pair button is on the bottom of the case! So the fact the case has a charger port is not enough. I contacted Kate Spade and not only did the guy hang up on me on the phone, but I waited forever. He told me to take the case to a 'tech store' for them to deal with it and told me they would not reimburse me for it. I tried to email Kate Spade and I just kept getting a note telling me to ship it back to them! Seriously? I will do what the other people here say... post this everywhere I can so people understand. Buy a purse from KS if you want, but skip products they know nothing about and don't stand behind.
I bought a Kate Spade prescription eyeglass from Costco 4 months ago. Costco only covers Manufacturers' defects and only within 30 days of purchase. KS customer service have effectively said they do not provide a warranty on the eyeglasses sold through Costco. I was willing to pay to get the arm that broke, neither Costco nor Kate Spade was willing to sell me the piece...
I purchased on Blackfriday from Katespade online and then 2 days later cybermonday the price is 10% less and they wont do a price adjustment even though I have not received shipping confirmation.
I received a Kate Spade purse for my birthday in March. By September the straps started falling apart. I called the customer service department because on their website they claim to have a 1 year warranty. The first person said I will receive a replacement in 2 days. I never received it. I called back on the 3rd day and I spoke to 2 people who told me that policy is no longer in standing and they've updated their system and I would received an email for a return label and refund. Never received either. I am calling again and just getting the runaround. I will never purchase from them again.
I wish I could give this company a ZERO! Horrible customer service! Horrible quality! Bought a tote, 8mo the later the handles stitching came apart. Called customer service, they said take it to a Kate Spade store. I told them I was coming to Vegas and there was one at the Venetian. They said to take it there. Brought this huge bag on its own dang suitcase on the airplane and guess what… THEY WON'T REFUND IT! I'm livid! I have to bring it BACK HOME to send it back and they'll send me the refund. Only problem is I DON'T WANT ANYTHING from this company ever again!
The handle clip on a 7 month old kate spade bag broke (not the first KS product I've had that broke after a few months) and because I didn't want it replaced/refunded - I actually liked the bag before dealing with the company, the customer service department advised I should go to a repairer 1,500k from where I live to get it fixed. When I complained they then said of course they'd refund the cost - sadly I wasn't psychic and didn't know that when they first wrote to me. Also, given my experience with their customer service, I wouldn't trust I'd get the refund. Not repairing as I don't want to wear this bag and advertise KS

I am very disappointed I purchase 3 items they were returned and I was told that as soon as items were received that with in 7 -10 days I would recieve my refund on 9/15
I called to inquire about my refund and I was told that it's still being processed that is unacceptable that means I have to wait another 7-10 for my money to be returned to my account its not the amount of day's. It takes between 20-25 before your refund is recieved. The product and packaging is beautiful but it's unacceptable the wait for your funds. I would think about it twice before you purchace something and it has to be returned. Im So disappointed don't think I will be purchasing anything from Kate spade. If I'm going to go through these headaches
These people are crooks.
At first I did not receive my package. An investigation has been opened with the carrier. The carrier never gave Kate Spade details, so Kate Spade refuses to help me.
After this first step, Kate Spade asked me to extend the deadline for this investigation. It was supposed to end yesterday, September 15. I haven't heard from Kate Spade. I contact Kate Spade's department today and they tell me they may not get a response today.
I don't have a package. I have no refund.
I will proceed with a file with the BEUC.

I ordered a LEATHER cell phone case. I ordered from a reputable store. Used literally 3 days and the trim started separating. Called Kate spade and was told unless you order directly from Kate spade corp there is no warranty! Really! I told him you can tell if the product is a fake and he didn't want to hear it. Then CLICK!
Answer: Good luck with that! Once they make a sale that's it. Good luck getting in touch with a person. The brick and mortar store maybe easier to deal with, but the website is the worst. Don't do business with these guys online
