Legalzoom did not due there dudilegance and provide what I ordered. I was miss informed (lied to) 3x advising my ordered was completeThis was a months process of me waiting. After complaining to BBB and now consumer affairs complaint,they suddently FINALLY respond back but to say the order cant be fullfilled claiming I failed to provdie a questionair. I contacted my will and trust atty whom assisted me with the entire submission and we 100% completed the questonaire as you CAN NOT even submit the order with out it.basically if you dont answer the questions lie your name address phone, etc you cant move forward. Aside from that, when I would log into there portal occassionaly the status would say ON TIME as if there preparing it timely.I chatted with support 2x and spoke to a rep 3x and they all said I would recieve my order with in 24-48 hours or 72 hours or by end of day, as none of them understood why it was taking so long. I was given the option PRIOR to submitting my order to PRINT or pay extra for professional printing. I recieve an email for the very time is weeks, and it relays we tried to call you (LIE) I literally keep my cell phne with me daily, NO MISSED CALL nothing.What dissapoints me the most is I logged into the portal today and everything was wiped out like it never happened. Basically waisted money and time. They could have just been honest and fortwith.Legalzoom takes no accountability for there errors whether technical or there staff. Ide rather them be honest and I deal with it but LIE. The intergrity of this company is smaller than an ant.

Legalzoom is unethical in its business practice. I say this because Legalzoom collected the fees to start my new LLC business, however, after 6 months, and about 20 hours of follow up on my end, Legalzoom failed to complete my order. After 6 months of going back and forth, I was forced to pay another company to do what I paid Legalzoom to do. This other company completed my LLC order in 2 days and charged me half as much. Legalzoom did not issue a refund. After 6 months, Legalzoom sent me an email claiming to have attempted multiple times to reach me after I stopped contacting them. I had, afterall, paid someone else to do what they could not. Legalzoom would not issue a partial refund either. The only way to recover my losses is by filing a lawsuit against them --- which I have no time to do. I have saved the written email conversations in case there comes a time I can pursue action against them or there is a class action lawsuit.

We requested a service they never finished and they refused to refund the money, do not waste your money or time with them. I will Never recommend them to anyone. I requested the agent ID from the representative Ronnie and his supervisor information and he refused to provide.

I recently had a rather frustrating experience with LegalZoom, and I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction with their services. My encounter revolved around their trademark search feature, and unfortunately, it left much to be desired.

Firstly, LegalZoom charged me a hefty $99 fee for a trademark search, promising to provide clarity on the availability of the name I wanted. However, what irked me the most was the fact that this fee did not contribute towards the actual trademark application, as one might reasonably assume. Instead, it seemed like a blatant money-grab, leaving me feeling deceived.

When I questioned the customer service about the possibility of using the $99 towards the trademark application or, at the very least, obtaining a refund, I was met with unhelpful responses. The representative went so far as to suggest that some people might not be well-versed in the trademark application process. I found this explanation utterly absurd; after all, if one can set up an account on LegalZoom, surely they can navigate a trademark search without being exploited.

Moreover, the platform's insistence on keeping the $99 fee, regardless of the outcome of the search, felt like a disheartening lack of transparency. It left me questioning the integrity of their fee structure and the true value they provide to their customers.

In essence, my experience with LegalZoom has left me disillusioned and wary of their practices. The seemingly unnecessary $99 trademark search fee, coupled with unhelpful customer service responses, has made it clear that this platform prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. I would caution anyone considering their services to be wary of hidden fees and explore alternative options that offer more transparent and customer-friendly practices

I placed an order with Legalzoom back in September to update some documents with the state that I thought I needed to have professionally filed. I spent considerable time with a phone rep telling them exactly what I needed to have done and they told me the package I needed. The cost was $169. First, it took them almost a month just to review the order, then came emails with questions that I had already answered, then more weeks went by, then finally I get an email saying they didn't need to file anything with the state because the changes had already been made. How they were made I'm not sure but it wasn't Legalzoom, they did nothing. Of course I asked for a refund since they hadn't actually done anything and so far they refuse to refund my money because they say 60 days has gone since my order was placed. I told them they took over 60 days just to review the order and get back to me so how could I have even known to ask for a refund within that unfair time. Of course the rep I contacted couldn't answer that but just kept saying their policy was 60 days. What a scam! So they take over 60 days to do the work and then when they don't do it they keep the money claiming you are past the refund time I will NEVER use them again!

On 11/9/2023 Legal Zoom charged me $299.00 for an annual subscription for registered agent services. On 11/11/2023 (2 days after the initial charge) I changed my registered agent and cancelled the Legal Zoom Subscription. Legal Zoom is no longer my registered agent and therefore unable to provide registered agent services. However, even though they are no longer providing me this service and I cancelled my subscription 2 days after the charge, they are unwilling to issue me a refund for a renewal on a yearly automatic subscription. I do not believe this is good business practice and is highly unfair to the consumer.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this company.

God forbid they make a mistake... A PROVEN MISTAKE, where they failed to file my annual report for 2022 without my knowledge, where I have an email showing it was submitted, only to find out when I receive a call that not only did they not file my 2022 report, they did not file my 2023 report as stated. I found out by the firm that I WAS contracted with that my business had been dissolved by my state. So then I call them to find out why this was the case and they literally told me that neither of the documents were filed due to the fact that I had not "answered any autodialer calls they placed" so that I could approve the documents to "verify their accuracy." Isn't that something? They told me that I "refused" calls from a computer-dialed number to verify the information contained in documents they had already sent me an email about, stating that the docs had been sent? Seriously? HOW IS ONE TO VERIFY INFORMATION CONTAINED WITHIN DOCUMENTS THROUGH A TELEPHONE CALL? GOD FORBID YOU ACTUALLY CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE OR ANY OTHER PERSON IN THIS USELESS DAMN COMPANY TO TRY AND GET ANSWERS OR TO GET SOME KIND OF RESOLUTION... THEY DO NOT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT ANYTHING A PERSON HAS TO SAY AND MAKE ALL THE DAMN EXCUSES IN THE WORLD ABOUT WHY THEY CAN'T HELP, OR PLACE YOU ON HOLD THEN NEVER RETURN... WASH RINSE REPEAT... F'G IDIOTS!

If you're looking to form your LLC, I highly recommend doing your own research and filing it yourself. People often rely on companies like LZ because they either lack time or don't want to make mistakes with filing paperwork. I reached out to LZ for help in setting up two of my companies, and they appear to be fully on board, assuring me that everything was on track and in order. If you're wondering whether this company is a waste of space, time, and money, think again. Despite not receiving what I requested, they still charged me almost 2500 for both and i still had errors on my paperwork. They informed me that they had sent emails and a letter in the mail regarding the annual payment, which I neglected to pay, leading to the cancellation of LZ as my registered agent. I find this very interesting because I haven't received anything in the mail or any phone calls. If I hadn't checked my spam email, I wouldn't have found this email to contact them and It's a bit insane every agent I speak to either has an attitude or lacks helpful knowledge. I keep getting transferred to different people. In order to correct my paper with the IRS, I had to pay my tax preparer to file specific tax papers because of the errors made. I've contacted them "LZ" and been transferred three times. The last agent told me it's the customer's fault for any errors. I find this as a joke.

I paid for a 501(c) (3) non-profit to help Veterans and they did it all, when we were building the website I got a call fr the company doing the website informing me that that even though qe had registered the name with the California Secretary of State we could not use the name because it was registered already and I have spent 2 days trying to talk to somebody to fix it and change the name, they have hanged up 3 times and offers that a manager would call me back and nobody has.

Legal Zoom is a bunch of Scam Artists and low-life thieves! They slipped in a recurring charge that we did not sign up for and charged us $250 to be out "registered agent" for another year. We called them and made them aware that we had changed the registered agent on Sunbiz.org and did not need this service AND never signed up for any recurring charges or received the email notice of the recurring charge that they lied about sending, and they said basically too bad for us, we don't issue refunds! These people are low-life thieves and con artists!

Legal zoom stole $299 from me in the month of October 2023 from a debit card that had expired in April 2023. After several calls they told me that they were going to return the money in 3 to 5 days, but it couldn't be done because the card expired., I called again and they told me that they were going to send it to me by mail, more than 10 days passed and nothing, I called again and they told me that there is no refund pending that the refunds policy is before 30 days after payment, which indicates that I claimed on the same day that the money was stolen from my card and they told me it is 30 days from the first time I made the transaction in 2021, Is this serious, thieves, I do not recommend to anyone, what they do is collect money and they do nothing for you, they are useless, they are garbage.
