Poor service and POOR QUALITY phones!
Had 2 phones from them and BOTH had issues. The LG V10 has a known "boot-loop" problem which basically renders the phone useless. They refuse to acknowledge it or repair it unless it's within warranty.
Likewise the LG-G3 randomly shuts down and again they refuse to repair. Both of these issues are "known" to LG and a basic search online will show how many people suffered the same fate.
I've been using cell phones since the inception of the Motorola "brick" and have been through Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia, Apple, Sony and Samsung... LG is ONLY one with issues!
AVOID LG PHONES AT ALL COSTS! NO SERVICE AND POOR QUALITY DEVICES.
Whenever i purchased lg mobiles. I found they are crap compare to samsung or iphone. Quality is poor. Wonder whats wrong with the LG phones.
In March I bought a washer and dryer set for $2096. When the dryer recently stopped heating ( less than 6 months) I was told my vents must be clogged and they would not come out to repair it. Keep in mind I had no error codes. So I played $299.99 to have my vents cleaned and what a surprise my dryer still did not heat. So I called them up to schedule a service call as it was still under warranty. Even though the product was registered they still refused to come out and fix it. I had to pay an additional $370.00 to have someone come out and fix this cheap product. If I lived in a house with a yard instead on a condo I would put it in the backyard and blow it up on a utube video. I cannot stress enough what a horrible company they are. Cheap products and a service mandate not to help the customer under any circumstances. If they were the last company in the world I would not buy their products.
I paid over $1500 for a new LG refrigerator. The freezer could not keep a temp of 0 or below which is required to avoid freezer burn and ruining food. I asked for help and was told if the repair guy came and the temp was 0 I'd have to pay for the visit. Since the temp constantly dipped below and above, there was no way to predict and they simply did not take my word. Fast forward: Consumer reports mentioned this issue. This means LG knows about the problem and probably has a fix. They refused to speak to a local repair organization about the fix or any other info about this issue. My vendor replaced my refrigerator with another LG. The freezer temp problem was even worse. LG refused to acknowledge the issue or work with a repair person. I purchased a refrigerator with a useless freezer and LG won't take responsibility. Guess they don't know that customer service is an important factor in running a business.
LG refrigerator purchase Nov. 2014. Broke down Sept. 2016= LG compressor broke down after less than 2 years which seems to be the consumer average based on 1,764 LG REFRIGERATOR COMPLAINTS ON CONSUMER AFFAIRS website. We luckily purchased a warranty and had our compressor and other issues repaired under warranty. I saw the repair bill which was $757.74 parts and labor. March, 2017 refrig died again. You will not see a ConsumerAffairs Accredited Seal on any LG fridge. What is a ConsumerAffairs Accredited Seal? " A company that displays the ConsumerAffairs Accredited Seal has agreed to work with us to resolve consumer complaints." LG does not choose to be a member because they do not care about resolving consumer complaints. LG has chronic malfunctioning refrigerator problems which they choose not to fix or address. Google " LG compressor problems" and your first hit will be the consumer affairs site. Read real reviews about what other consumers have to say about LG before purchasing an LG refrig because it will be nothing but a nightmare purchase. Do you really want to unload and throw away hundreds of dollars of food every time your new refrig breaks down? Do you want to wonder if it malfunctioned while you were on vacation? Look elsewhere for your new refrigerator.
The phones by LG I owned were quite reliable and fast-working, but lately these are beginning to be overpriced. Made me look to the younger ones on the market with same characteristics.
I still got g5 and the phone is working very smooth, I am waiting new line to come out and definitely will buy it.
I bought myself a smart tv 3D LG. Overall, TV is great but only thing that makes me mad is that sometimes when I put USB in the TV, some formats TV can't recognize. 3D is working awesome!
I purchased the LG HBS-810 Bluetooth Headset from eBay last December. I carefully reviewed the listing to see that it was New, in a sealed retail package. Indeed, it was new, sealed, with all the accessories and documentation.
I returned the headset twice for repair or replacement under the warranty and both times I received a cryptic "Grade" of "INVALID POP."
I had contacted Customer Service after the first return and they said that I needed to submit a receipt that listed the item, the cost, when and from where it was purchased. My PayPal receipt shows all of that, including the eBay seller.
Customer service told me today that they do not consider eBay an authorized dealer and will not honor any warranty claims from items purchased through eBay. Their explanation was that items might be used or refurbished. However, they do consider Amazon as an authorized dealer.
Again, my unit was listed as New, in a sealed retail box. But LG will not honor this purchase.
Purchased convection oven 02/21/16. Installed on 03/13/16.
Used over 5 or 6 times. On 04/21/16 I used oven. About an hour later I hear something pop in the kitchen. Couldn't figure out what it was. Next day I open oven door and inside glass on oven door was shattered into thousands of pieces.
I call LG. They send repairman who comes to my house on 04/27. He takes picture of door and leaves. On 05/11 I call repair place. They are surprised LG hasn't called me. He advised LG said damage was 'cosmetic' and is only covered for one week under warranty.
I call LG and ask to speak to supervisor. Supervisor does best to get me off the phone. I tried to explain that this was not cosmetic but probably a flaw during manufacturing or transport. He kept saying cosmetic over and over.
I am trying our State Attorney General's office to get LG to pay for their defective equipment they sold me.
Just got a call from repair place advising me they would fix the problem for $200.00 which is about 22% of what I paid for the oven. I advised I would try to fix it myself.
Terrible customer service after sale. They do not stand by their products. Never trust LG.
Came here looking for answers for my LG smartphone. Got all I needed. 5/5!
Bought myself an Optimus L90 last december. It kinda works, although when it's cold out the screen is having a hard time responding to touches. Also with Android 5.0 it lags a whole lot. Gotta install Cyanogenmod
I sent my device in for repair because I needed to fix a cracked screen, they sent the device back with the screen fixed, and they took the liberty to upgraded my OS and later refused to downgrade it. This feels illegal.
Purchased an LG Slim Portable DVD Writer (Model GP60NB50) for my lap top but it would not play DVDs. Emailed LG's customer service and received a response the next day. They suggested I download VLC Media Player (http://www.videolan.org) It worked! While it would have been helpful to have this information in the owner's manual, I have to give the customer service department kudos for their quick response and solving the problem satisfactorily.
Purchased a portable Air conditioner from them, what a POS, worked good for a week starting freezing up, service guy came out tore it apart drill holes in it, put it back together said it was all good, after he left I noticed it was missing screws, and he had left his screwdriver, and the unit was still not performing, tech returned broke the foam in the ac that you could clearly see from the top, once again said it was fine, it wasn't. My sons room needed a ac as well and I purchased another lg ac which was about half the size of the original unit, his blows colder and harder than ours, logged 2 more service calls where a guy came out with a laser temp gun and said its working its 10 degrees colder than the ambient air, called LG e mailed LG several times, after being promised by a manager at there customer service he would take care of it and get back to me in a couple hours, I had to reach out to him a few days later to have him ask me after all this do you still have your receipt, even thought I registered it at time of purchase. Needless to say I told them im sure somewhere but why would they need it, I never heard back from them. Another Crappy electronics company.
Bought a refrigerator from hhgregg brand LG not less than a month goes by when I start having issues with freezer door not closing ruined over $200.00 dollars in meats had bought an extended warranty to no avail tried making appointments tech could never make it, thier customer service just sucks just like thier product i will never buy from HHGreg not or LG proucts again there is so much more that needs to be said so that customers will know how $#*!ty both these two companies are
LG smart TV's have been collecting data and spying on users, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7SBr7z2B1Q for more info.
I wanted to find out some info on my phone (which is faulty), but the site doesn't recognise one of it's own (newish) models. I tried to send an email, but was informed that I hadn't put in my email address - I had! It also has 2 tick boxes which don't let you tick anything!
This is a note to prevent you from frustration. I have a 400.00$ vacuum and it has not worked well since the 4th or 5th use. The offical site has a help section took 2 days to get an answer and the answer was almost the question I asked. Noticed other folks questions similar one a month ago not yet answered! Get a Dyson!
Answer: They have dangerous appliances, and refused to reimburse us for the repair of an almost new (but over 1 year old) oven that was clearly a manufacturing defect (see image.)
Answer: THEY ARE NOT GOING TO SEND OUR REFUND AFTER PROMISING WE HAD SENT THE REQUIRED INFORMATION.
