I created an account in order to be able to send faxes. However, I did not work and now I cannot cancel the account.
I get an error when trying to cancel through the web "Sorry, We are unable to complete your request online." If I write them by mail I just get an automated mail.
I wish I had read these reviews before I signed up for the free trial! This is a terrible service... bordering on a scam. I sent one fax and received a notification that delivery had failed. I tried to resend it-- same notification. I tried a few times... no luck. Gave up, then the next morning got an email that many of these faxes did go through, resulting in overage charges because it was sent multiple times. I emailed and argued that these charges should be reversed as the email said that transmission FAILED... not that they would keep trying. They told me they would not reverse charges. I emailed again questioning this and explaining the situation and they did not reply. I tried to talk to them via the customer support chat on the site and the same thing, with an added touch of rudeness. So I tried to cancel my account and you have to call someone to do that. Seems that all this service is designed to do is to trick you into spending more money than you should and making it hard to cancel the recurring monthly charges. Run far away!

When the fax has been successfully delivered to the intended party, it will contain your "Fax Details"- Date (always listed in GMT, number of pages transmitted, length of transmission, and most importantly the receiving fax machines/servers Reference ID- which is confirmation that the fax complete on their end). Our system will make up to 3 billable attempts to send the fax prior to sending you an unsuccessful fax transmission report. If the fax line is ringing to a busy tone, we will attempt up to 5 times to reach the line prior to sending you an unsuccessful transmission report. In cases such as these, no transmission or duration can be detected. It says 14 free trial. It says 8 or 9 dollars a month!? Wrong! They don't tell you that it'll be annual charges of $100.00 USD! They will just charge your card without permission the moment you create the profile. Any attempt to cancel will not work. In the emails it says annual accounts cant be cancelled on the website. If you tell them you've cancelled the card and reported the fraud to the bank, they'll just block your access to login and you'll start getting emails saying how to cancel and detailing how annual accounts cannot cancel. I'm still waiting for my bank to investigate the website to see the scam and credit the $100 back to me. I'm waiting on a new card. Stay away from this SCAM!

It appears that you signed up for an annual subscription in USD currency which would disqualify you from direct online cancellation. We do still offer 24/7 phone, live chat, mobile app, and email support to assist with any billing or technical inquiries. Our direct online cancellation is currently available for all monthly billed account holders at this time. Whenever a chargeback is made with any card provider the receiving service must be closed (as required by the card issuer & service provider) as you are disputing the charges and validity of the service. Beware of number of pages included! Their idea of pages included is not the same as regular person's idea of how a page is counted!
I was being charged for overage of plan limit. ($10 every day for 4-5 days consecutively). I was really surprised and called them to find out what happened. They said that because the 9 pages of fax that we sent is counted as 80 pages in their system! And of course all my faxes are counted like that! Therefore there's an overage.
Also we port our number over and they never combine the two numbers! This month they started charging us for two accounts! An hour into calling customer support, I didn't get anywhere with the rep. All he could tell me there's are fine prints when I signed up for the service! I don't have the time to spend hours on the phone with time over their problematic billings.
The fax service is just like any other efax. Slower than regular fax but get the fax over to the other end eventually. I really don't see anything special with them that justify the trap in billing.

Typically faxes take between 30-60 seconds per page to transmit when scanned in the recommended format of black & white at 200-300 DPI (dots per inch) resolution. We make these recommendations online through various instructional including tips/ tutorials as it is suggested to never scan in color or greyscale as this will increase the file size & duration time required to send the fax, which can adjust both the billing and risk possible line interruption. We would also like to look to see if you had requested to close out the original fax number assigned when your number had been ported into the service or keep both numbers active as we do charge for each number active on the account. I signed up for a trial (for 100 pages outbound). And while is faxed 46 pages they mentioned that i used up 190 pages and my credit card was charged.
On contacting their chat support they came back saying if the receiving machine is slow or network is an issue it might take more time. My 46 pages took ******* seconds so they considered it as 190 pages (60 seconds for 1 page). They denied reverting the charges and claimed all the information is confirmed on sign up (in fine prints).
I would rather pay for a legitimate service knowing what i am signing up for and paying for rather than such a scam of being charged unreasonably.

My faxes aren't being received. And the MyFax "customer service" number simply takes me to a long and rambling list of numbers that, when pressed, tell me the obvious ways to send a fax. But I get no access to someone who can help be address the problem. I'm canceling this "service" because it isn't a service.

They charged me 30$ even though they could not send my fax in any of the 5 attempts within the free trial period. Later I sent the fax with another provider. I cancelled the service within 5th day. I am not satisfied about the service. I will not recommend anyone to take their service.

Please don't use them if you only need to send a single fax. They will not let you cancel during the trial period without an actual phone call to Canada. So if you forget, like I did (face slap) you're charged a service fee for the privilege of having sent a single fax.

During the two-week free trial period, I tried to cancel my account online but kept receiving error messages that my account didn't exist. But two days later, they sent an invoice for the non-existent account, and then wouldn't refund the $10. BTW, I also wasn't able to send any faxes during that trial period. I used this service for the free trial 3 months ago and canceled the service promptly before the trial ended, however 3 months later they're trying to bill me for the usage plus 3X late fees, it is not my fault if the system did not properly process the cancellation, and I should not be held accountable for their system errors. Their phone lines won't pick up and their live chat function doesn't work. Hopefully they answer their email.

Watch out as this is a trap! They say you can cancel your subscription by taking the steps they listed but the "cancel button" they say to hit isn't there nor does it work! I have called and submitted an email in regards to cancel the subscription just to be ignored and charged 22$ again this month! I've been nothing but patient and I hope they refund the process or I will be disputing every transaction these past months if not resolved! I'd love to leave a good review but your services weren't the best and customer services is beyond iffy! Find somewhere else!

Then would not credit my account.
Customer service are just reading off a script, can't think for themselves.

Signed up for a "free trial" never used their horrible service. Canceled now 3 times. Once online, twice over the phone. They lie and say its canceled but there is no cancelation email and they never cancel. A supervisor is never available. They will always "call back" which I have been waiting on since June. They never call, cancel nor send a email. They get your payment information and continue to charge. Sometimes 3x a month. They are thieves You have been warned

My son used this company and recommended it; however, he had the unlimited number of faxes account. I signed up for the $10 per month account. The company is in Canada, so I was surprised when I was charged in USD ($13.70 CAD). Also, the contract states that I was allowed up to 100 pages free per month. I only sent two faxes in the first month and was charged $13.50 CAD for a fax that was 68 pages and $13.46 CAD for a fax that was 12 pages. Customer service said that I had faxed 211 pages. My math was 80 pages. I was told that if it takes more than a minute to send a page, it is charged more ie., if a page takes 61 seconds, it is considered 2 pages and if it takes 121 seconds to transmit, it is charged at 3 pages... etc! Beware! I paid $40.66 CAD when I thought I would be charged $10 CAD + tax. They offered a one time credit of $30 that will take 3-5 business days to process. I am cancelling this subscription right after the credit is sent!
