I've had PayPal since 2017.! My account always gets locked. EVERY-TIME I USE IT.! If I get money sent to me, it's on hold. If i try to transfer money to my bank, it's another problem. I'm not able to. If I tried to add funds to my PayPal balance it's another problem. Every time I try to do anything, I have to call the customer service. The lady ask me why am I adding funds to my PayPal balance. Lmaoo that's it for me I have close this account. This is the worst company ever! I want to warn all potential sellers against using Paypal. I sold several items using the website - over 130EUR. Paypal, of course, charged a commission of over EUR 6 for this.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. As a company that has processed millions of dollars of transactions with them, you would think it would be possible to speak to someone on the phone (it is but they make you jump through hoops), and then when you do speak to someone they are ENTIRELY unhelpful. Frustration of the highest order and a complete lack of genuine willingness to assist. I can't log in for almost 4 weeks now and PayPay will not move a finger to help. They are scammers. I have had a PayPal account since 2004 when I started buying on eBay. So I figured when I had a package missing and obviously not delivered to my home, I figured "I paid with PayPal, I'm good." BOY WAS I WRONG. Twenty years and I've not had any claims, and the one I file is automatically denied in under 6 minutes after the seller provided tracking number. Try to fight it - but they will only accept an official response from UPS on official UPS letterhead stating that they did not deliver the package to my home and it's now missing. I will attach all of my proof here that they completely disregarded in lieu of their very specific request of UPS statements on UPS letterhead. I also found that UPS will not allow me to file a claim, and after PayPal decided in the seller's favor - the seller is no longer communicating with me. So I got left out in the cold after 20 years, because they want me to jump through a bunch of specific hoops to get my money back. I'd sooner leave my experience on the internet (the internet is forever) and never do business with them again.

PayPal is horrible. Don't use them. They will randomly decide to block your account and hold your funds and not tell you why.

Avoid like the plaque. Holds payments arbitrarily, no matter how many times you contact them and provide all the documents and proof they ask for, they won't release the money. No explanation given. If they are refusing to give you your money, I strongly recommend contacting CSSF, if you are in Europe. Emptying your balance randomly to ZERO and taking all your money is illegal under the laws of all EU countries. The best thing you can do is to stay away and stick to actual banks that are actually reliable and provide customer service.
I will reduce my use of Paypal. I was in love with the process of using it as a debit card for my buisness. Automaticly pulling money from my bank account for each transaction. Now with them requiring the money to be in their Paypal account has really disrupted my business purchasing. Money transfers take close to 5 days, if they happen at all. I also do not trust having a large amount of money in a digital bank somewhere.

I placed an order for an item and felt I was safe as I was able to pay with PayPal, turns out I was wrong. The item was not as described and I requested a refund. I provided the following information; a copy of the receipt, a picture of the item in comparison to another item to show it was not as described, and the information for the real item that the seller copied/imitated. This was not good enough and PayPal denied my request for a refund three times because they could not find the original listing for the item as the seller pulled it down when I filed the dispute. On top of this, the last person I spoke with from PayPal customer support was extremely rude and unhelpful. Apparently on top of the information I already provided I needed the listing of the item too. This is a MASSIVE flaw in Paypal's system that this seller was aware of and took advantage of. Until PayPal fixes this I highly recommend using a different payment company.
PayPal is very convenient & they have helped me to get a credit from several merchants. Just this week, Gopro had charged me $49.99 for something and Gopro has no customer service. I finally got a credit because of Paypal. I'll keep using PayPal but not any further Gopro stuff.

I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
