PayPal is withholding money for at least 21 days, that my client paid me for services rendered and they can't seem to grasp that I can't print a shipping label or add tracking to my "shipment" to get my money sooner yet they took their hefty fee from what my client paid me and didn't put a hold on the fee they took…biggest mistake using them as a credit card processor for one of my commercial cleaning clients…they seem to think that my client is going to want a refund for services billed to them and paid by them 3 weeks after services for the month of august were rendered and we are more than half way through the September monthly cleaning schedule that will be billed in October…that concept is too difficult for PayPal reps to grasp…and I rated 1 star because zero stars isn't an option.
Fur Babies Rescue is a very small domestic animal rescue in Hickory, NC. 100% of all funds received into the rescue are used to make the lives of domestic animals better. This is an organization run by volunteers. No one takes a salary or receives any financial compensation. All of our volunteers are local professionals working together to make our community better.
Fur Babies Rescue had used PayPal to accept donations and also use it for a fundraising tool. We found out the hard way that PayPal can freeze an account and hold the money for 180 days. The account was frozen and now PayPal has control of $1,693.22 of the rescue's funds. Those funds were going to help spay/neuter and vaccinate approximately 20 animals in need. We had to cancel the trip to the spay clinic that was scheduled for September 20,2023.
We should have done our homework before signing up to use PayPal. If you Google "PayPal froze my account" you will find many horror stories and lawsuits because PayPal froze accounts.
There isn't an easy way to dispute the account freeze or get help from PayPal. If we were a larger group with national support we could possibly fight it but we are just a small group of volunteers. We will have to work harder to raise more money and hope we get that money back from PayPal at the end of the 180 days.
This is not the way to treat a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit. I hope others learn about this issue and protect their money from PayPal.

Pays pal is a very useless service. Do not use it at all cost! The customer support is extremely rude and appear not to know what they are doing. It's a very pathetic service and I hope the company dies soon
I'd give no stars, but it won't let me. Someone charged my account about $800 dollars, it was fraudulent and unauthorized. They admitted it was, indeed, stating the charge was from an cryptic, undisclosed location; I immediately told them to cancel the transaction and CLOSE my account. I have never had the ability to log into the account. I have never purchased anything using PayPal. Every time I call customer service to close my account, no one answers.

I wanted $20 deposited from paypal into my checking account. I filled out ALL the correct information and the idiots transfered it to a debit card that doesn't exist! Then the customer "service" (LOL) said it was my fault and I won't see the money until the card rejects the payment then I have to try again. What total morons.

Re-book the ticket I have asked agent to cancel the ticket and refund. Agent was saying refund will provide after 180 days. I have made a complaint to PayPal and asked them to refund my full money as there is no mistake from my end. Paypal said wait till 180 days as the agents policy is to refund after 180 days. Now almost 9 months passed after the Cancellation request. Agent did not paid me. Upon contacting PayPal, they said PayPal cannot do anything as paypal policy is to give support any product purchased with in 180 days.

Paypal did not like some of the items I was selling on ebay as they were military related. EBay and paypal had an agreement and any items that ebay allows me to sell should be able to be processed through paypal. Paypal canceled my account and held all of my money for 6 months just to punish me for selling what they don't approve of. Paypal is also anti 1st Amendment and anti 2nd Amendment. In my opinion, anyone who believes in the US Constitution should NOT use paypal. We have to give up some conveniences in life so certain entities can not use our money for purposes that are against our values.

Do not use PayPal as they decide quite unsubstantiated that you might become a "risk" to their company. For example, I sent 40 dollars to a friend for clothes for schòl, then I wanted later to send him 30 dollars for grocery shopping but paypal didn't allow the transfer due to the fact that they arbitrarily determined that I was a risk. In fact, after I voiced to them my negative opinion for not allowing the send transfer of 40 dollars, they permanently closed my account placing a 180 hold on my funds with them. They still did not explain why I was a risk. I mean, even in America people are at least aware of what they are charged with before sentencing and punishment. Paypal is the worst!
I have been doing business with PayPal for over 10 years. I just started using there merchant services to collect service fees from my clients. They put limations on my acount. One of them was blocking me from transferring my money to my bank account. Meaning I don't have access to my money made for My business for that whole week! I received no emails just a notification above my balance in the PayPal portal telling why. No warning or heads up for me to try and get any info that they need for my business prior to them holding my funds. They put my business in limbo. Why not put limations on receiving or making payments through PayPal, why hold a businesses weeks worth of transaction? I will not use them ever again.
I contacted PayPal on the 9th concerning fraudulent tracking number to dispute payment was told I would have to wait till the 17th before they would even escalate to a dispute and then have to wait an additional 7-10 days for resolution I provided PayPal with documentation showing an invalid fake tracking number

PayPal will not protect you! I received an email from PayPal about a transaction I never authorized. I Immediately checked my account and there was no trace of the transaction. So I checked my bank account and sure enough the money was gone. I called my bank and had my card cancelled and a new one issued. I called the customer service at PayPal and talk with someone who informed me that according to the transaction number in the email they sent me, someone had my credit card information and used my PayPal account as a guest so it doesn't show up as a transaction on my account at all to send money to another account. I started a dispute against the transaction and PayPal completely dismissed it as an authorized transaction. I tried 4 times to dispute it to no avail. I have removed my credit card information from my PayPal account. I will never trust PayPal to keep my account safe again!

Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
