With lousy handwriting I thought I would be neat and print a simple form that needed very few entries. Mainly just name and address, account number and date. Wasted my time trying to get through filling it out, which took a LOT longer than printing it, which is what I ended up doing. Like supposedly free tax programs, they pounce with the you cannot print it after you wasted time. If doing several longer forms a month it might be worth it, but not with a deceptive company.
It's a bait and switch, everything upfront screams "free". You are deceived into inputting form data, try to save a copy, then get hit with the paywall asking for card info. They promise prompt customer service to reassure you it's not a con, knowing full well they will get away with charging a lot of people for months on end because of this horribly shady practice. They could implement a feature that allows a certain amount of free downloads before requiring a payment/subscription, but their goal is not to gain customers through honesty, transparency, or through a superior product.
Alex hi!
First of, we advertise the free trial, and we never state we have a free plan, because we don't have that (and never did) and we are very accurate in our wording.
Our free trial is full 30 days, no limitation on the quantity of downloads or uploads whatsoever. And having a paid plan afterwards is most certainly not a must at all. You can always cancel.
And since you've mentioned a comparison with Adobe --
You might want to compare their free trial (7 days vs 30 days in our case) and pricing (significantly higher).
With all the honesty, we strongly recommend you give it a full test drive of 30 days before calling names :)
I found it difficult to quickly download my documents. Also, I saved a document as a pdf but the icon keeps showing the word icon on the file.
DO NOT give any of your credit card details to this company. My card had been used for 4 transactions of Personnal uses and I had to cancel my card and block my account to prevent further damage.
I had use google pay which I thought is trust worthy to sign up the trial, and 2 days later my card was being used. I will report about their criminal act and take action against them.
AC hi!
We are somewhat confused by what's written here and would need more info on the case. Since you've mentioned Google Pay, was it desktop version or our mobile app? In any case, we do not charge customers on the second or third day of using our service. Our mobile free trial is one week sharp, our desktop free trial is 30 days (the first charge goes on the second month of using our software). So, you were charged 2 days after subscribing with us, there is a great probability this was not us, actually.
If you would like us to investigate your case internally, please email support@pdffiller.com, we will certainly do that.
PDF filler offers a free trial service for a month. I cancelled before the month ended and after a month they charged my credit card for a FULL YEAR subscription. My bank caught it (thank goodness) and marked it as fraudulent and cancelled my card. DO NOT use this site.
Dear Ruth-Anne,
Many thanks for reaching out! If there was a charge, that means the cancelation simply did not go through (this might have happened if the Internet was down for a minute, for example). Please email support@pdffiller.com, we'll make sure your subscription is fully canceled and there won't be any future charge attempts. Thanks!
This website only helps you do something that is free and easy to do on other sites. This site will charge you as soon as you get past the initial document creation. Do not use.
Sorry if any confusion caused, Stephen! Actually, this is not how it works, sorry if this was not immediately obvious. If this is your first time/day using pdfFiller, you are automatically eligible for a 30-day free trial period. You would need to register an account BUT there are absolutely no charges from us during this first month of use. The first charge goes on the first day of the second month, unless you cancel and unsubscribe earlier, of course. Hope this helps!
Doesn't notify you that payment is required for any functionality until after you've spent time and effort on filling out the form.
David hi! Sorry if any confusion incurred! PdfFiller requires account registration, it does NOT require immediate payment. Once you register an account with us, you are automatically eligible for our 30-day free trial period. If you need pdf editing functionalities for several documents only, our free trial would actually do the job, no charges whatsoever. Hope this helps!
The product was easy to use. Customer service was responsive when I was ready to cancel my subscription.
This was not an easy effort and I did not achieve success.
Very sorry to hear that, Juliette! Have you tried our Support? Please note that our agents are online in chats 24/7 (and these are real human beings, not bots). Please, chat with our Support over here: https://www.pdffiller.com/en/support.htm
Having come from an Adobe house, it is difficult to learn and the biggest disappointment is that there is no AI so everytime I need a new form next day, next week, I have to re-type the same information. Adobe had AI that when I started typing it would give me options (like Google).
Easy and Convenient. I own a daycare and PDF filler makes it super easy to fill and print forms for facility and parents.
Do not try this app! I wanted to use the 7-day FREE trial and had to give my credit card number. I then cancelled within 24 hours. HOWEVER, they charged me for a FULL YEAR. I filed a case but they would NOT refund me! What a scam!
Cindy, hi again! Like we've already mentioned on another site, since you've purchased our app on App Store by Apple, you need to claim refund through Apple. We are very sorry if this is inconvenient or bothering, but this is how it work with all mobile apps on Apple devices, we can't really go against this rule.
Please find our subscription in your Apple account and proceed from there. Claiming refund is super simple and takes literally a minute. The money is normally refunded within 24-48h.
Waste hours of your time, get charged minimum 20$ for 1 $#*!ing PDF. If they had been upfront, you could simply go somewhere else.
Instead, they hide this for when you are done spending hours on a document. No way to save it without entering your credit card
DISGUSTING! 0 stars! I will review bomb this everywhere!
Tan hi! What about our free trial period of 30 days? If you need several forms from our Library and PDF editing for them, our free trial period would actually do the job, no charges whatsoever. We are sorry if this was not immediately obvious. Please email support@pdffiller.com. One of our agents will make sure you get the full free trial period and your monthly plan is refunded. (Our paid plans are used by businesses mostly actually, so if you are an individual user, our free trial should do the job).
Great application! Very happy about it having a trial period. I definitely would purchase the application after exploring further into it and seeing how helpful it is and worth every penny.
No indication that this is subscription based software until you've already wasted time using it.
Beware this extension is NONFUNCTIONAL without credit card payment.
Rowan hi! Information about our 30-day free trial and several currently available paid plans is freely available on our official web site, tab Pricing: https://www.pdffiller.com/en/services.htm. Similar details are also available in apps' overview on the iOS and Android/Google marketplaces as well as several other marketplaces where we are currently represented. We are very sorry if this info was not immediately obvious for you.
Please note however that our free trial covers the first month in full. Might be a good option, depending on your case and purposes though. During the free trial CC details are used solely for verification purposes and the credit card is not charged even a single cent, we assure you.
Regarding the comparison of enterprise solutions we would have to disagree. Please see, for example, here, an independent enterprise-level comparison by G2: https://www.g2.com/compare/adobe-pdf-pack-vs-foxit-pdf-editor-vs-nitro-pdf-productivity-vs-pdffiller-by-airslate?category_id=&company_segment=181
Thank you for your attention!
You've made it simple and I'm very grateful. Looking up blank legal documents to complete and submit has never been easier. I have printed documents for filing with the State, County and Federal agencies. Thank you again!
This company charged my card for something I never signed up for and then for some reason I was able to log into an account that is not mine. I was charged $144 for some thing I never signed up for and it's absolutely ridiculous and I will let my credit card company know about this regardless because this is fraudulent and whoever is doing this is awful.
Sam hi! Sorry to hear about the confusion incurred! Please note that all accounts in pdfFiller are password-protected and verified. You can log into one only if you know the email login and the password, actually.
If you have no intentions to maintain this account and would like to get a refund, please email support@pdffiller.com. We will arrange account termination and the refund as soonest.
Hope this helps!
Answer: NO! Any company that would lure veterans to use their service, then try to charge them to print or save their documents after filling them out iss a RIPOFF!
Answer: Tharun hi! Many thanks for your interest and question! No, our 30-day free trial period is entirely free, no hidden fees, no fine print. The first charge goes on the first day of the second month (and you can surely cancel prior to that, again, no charges). Hope this helps!
Answer: Many thanks for your question! There are two answers here, actually. First of all, nobody in pdfFiller Team has access to the documents you store inside your account. Our Support and Statistics can see the number of uploads and sendings, but NOT the contents of your documents. That's confidential information. Regarding your payments details: If you are paying for our services by a credit card, we see: ***********1234. That is, only the last four digits of your card, the date of transaction and the amount paid. If you are paying via PayPal, we obviously see the email linked to your PayPal account. Hope this helps!
Answer: Dear Susan, many thanks for your question! And yes, you can do that. Two things are important here. First, you need to register a password-protected account to make sure all your sensitive data is stored securely in our private cloud. Secondly - please, note that PDFfiller does not have any sort of official agreement with medicare, thus, your form cannot be automatically delivered to the needed office. In other words, you can surely fill the form with us, edit it later, print, save, email etc. But keep in mind that you are responsible for document delivery, this is NOT automated. Hope this helps!
Answer: Dear Bibek, many thanks for your question. And no, you will not, free trial is free :) But please, mind the deadline. Charging is automatic straight after these 30 days are over.
pdfFiller is a cloud-based platform with a comprehensive digital toolkit that makes handling PDFs easy. Edit, sign, store, manage, and collaborate on documents all in one place — no downloads, switching apps, or paying for multiple subscriptions needed. All your documents are safely stored in the cloud, so you can access them anytime, anywhere, without worrying about losing your data.
Sharon hi! We are very sorry if any confusion caused!
Our ads (and site, and apps' overview on marketplaces, actually) say "free trial", not just free, strictly speaking. And this is exactly what we are offering -- 30 days of a free trial period.
Yes, you would need to register an account with us (which includes CC data). But there are zero charges during this first month, we assure you. And of course, you can always cancel, no charges involved either. In fact, quite many people are making use of our free trial during the tax season and then cancel afterwards. We totally get it, if you don't need PDF editing for daily business purposes, you won't need our paid plan.
Hope this helps!
