Low end products, miss leading website on how much it actually costs for the part to reach you, parts are purposefully low and they add on shipping, even tho you qualify for free shipping, then taxes of course, and if you are international consumer, you have duty and handing fee's. The best part of this BS company, No where does it stat that is using USD... 100$ CDN is much different than USD. Its 2020 and this company can not or willfully will not display the final price of a product to you. They sucker you in with low item prices and add the extra costs as you move in to check out. You know Michael this situation could have been resolved with a 25 $ credit on the current order but your customer service was not willing to do that, however they were going to credit me on my next order which was unacceptable to me... if a company is willing to take credit for errors or mishaps at lest make it right immediately and not lead the customer on.
I wonder who has imposed that company policy?
You want to fix this situation, be clear and up front, " in your free shipping adds put "ONLY IN THE USA", does not take much, I know i am a website designer, but you don't why?
Can you answer that with a real answer?
Spend some money on the website to go over the final details... to make it easy for first time customers to shop on your website... this inevitably will pay dividend.
2nd your pricing, at check out the total does not state USD... When this was brought to your customer service Representative she said and i quote "
We are a USA company and We don't have to do that"... really WOW!
This could be fixed with a simple script setting that when a customer enters his or her address, it auto calculates the total in their currency.
Option #2 ask the customer where they are shopping from when they 1st entered the site, like most sites. Simple website development... again attention to detail is lacking
3rd if you read all your other reviews you can see i am not the only one with this issue... why is this not fixed you have had the time?

In short sir, your website and customer service policies are sub par and i wonder with this digital age (eCommerce) how much longer are you going to be in business when the main face of the company (website) is in this sorry state. All of these are simple to fix, but huge headaches for customers.

I always always recommend Pelican Parts on when I talk to people on Facebook, Twitter or Reddit. Been a customer for years and not once has there been an error with order or the wrong parts. Once I ordered stuff and one of the reps called ME to verify it was the right parts. A friend needed help with his Mazda and we ordered parts from the largest auto parts online vendor. Not a single part in the order was right. Not one part. I only order from Pelican.
When I make a purchase I know that I am supporting the business which I have chosen to do business with. My review is simple for this business. I own one of the best cars ever created. I feel confident in doing my own repairs on this car and I know that Pelican Parts has what I need.
One main reason for my dedication to them is the forum which they provide. The members are like family with tons of advice and know how. Five years ago I purchased a 1983 Porsche 911 SC. The clutch cable snapped. I went on the internet to find the fix. I found the forum, then bought Wayne's book 101 projects. I added to the cart the Bentley book. This started my hobby. If you are reading this then the bug has gotten to you too. I know it is only a car but while it is in my care I will do my best at keeping it in proper condition for the next owner.
I needed a thermostat housing for a 2012 mini cooper. I spent time trying to find the right one online and I came across pelican parts with a picture of the right thermostat housing I needed and it was also an oem part which was great cause I knew it would fit perfectly. I went to the website to find out more and it was exactly what I was looking for and cheaper than anyone else for an oem part. I placed an order for next day and it was here next day as expected and we'll packaged. I put the part on the car the next day and now I have heat and everything is good again. I would highly recommend this company and I will definitely be buying more parts from them again. Great job pelican parts and thanks for the great service.

What a terrible experience. The sales guy put the wrong date for the order, after confirming that the parts would ship overnight and of course charged for overnight shipping. We had techs waiting on standby for the parts to be overnighted only to find that the order date was wrong. STAY AWAY FROM PELICAN PARTS!

With a $100.00 core charge it will cost me between $50. To $75.00. To return a starter. Felt that they could have told me this (projected return costs) before. And perhaps saved me the 'trouble' of buying from them. In the future I will buy closer to my home and not have to ship something across the country. And lose the core deposit to postage. At Pelican Parts we offer a huge cataloged filled with over 2 million options for parts. We supply Genuine Parts, OE Supplier parts, High Performance brands, and several aftermarket options. For each of the brands we display a brand rating from 1 to 5 stars. The more stars a brand has indicates a higher quality and more reputable the manufacturer.
The reason for listing multiple options is that we want the customer to decide what type of part they need for a particular job. Some customers just want to get the car back on the road at the lowest cost. Others want to be sure the parts are purchased from a highly reputable OE Supplier. Warranty information on the parts that we sell are clearly listed in our “More Info” pages. The part that you ordered was from a 2 star brand and was ordered in June of 2018. We do offer a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty on that particular part.

I go on line and the website goes down, it happens. I call and get "Bob" after a short wait. He starts researching what I need and he goes down... it happens. I tell him it's less than urgent and I'll call back. He ask if I'm a customer (I'm expecting an order tomorrow from them) and then says hey don't call us back let me call you! WOW - that's great service!

I have no issue with their selection. However, I could have walked from California to Florida faster than their free economy shipping. Item shippe on 19 Oct and arrival not set till 30 Oct. I ordered some crappy $3.00 product to get free shipping and I regret it. Don't use their free shipping unless you live next door. Very frustrating. The shipping arrival date has changed 3 times.

I am so sorry about the delay in transit. I completely understand how frustrating it is to wait an extended period of time to receive an order. It is painful for us to watch when we do everything in our power to get the order out of our facilities on-time. Then we stand by only to see the freight provider flubs the delivery making us miss our expected delivery date window. Most orders that ship out Economy Option get delivered to our customers on-time during the expected delivery window. Every now and then a carrier does take a bit longer to deliver. In your case it looks like they changed it 3 times. Again so sorry for the delay. We offer several upgraded shipping options at a significantly reduced cost in our shopping cart. These options are great if you have a time sensitive project and need the parts you ordered immediately.

If I could rate this company less than one star I would. I placed an order on Thursday morning(well before the published cutoff date for same day next day air shipping) for a part ($32.00 bolt) that I needed to complete a vehicle. I received an email confirming my order and the expected arrival date of Friday. In addition I received notice from PayPal that funds had been sent to Pelican Parts.
Approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes later an email was sent to me (after the cutoff for NDA processing had passed) stating that "additional security precautions had been taken" on my order and it would not ship until I contacted the company. I did not see this email until 8:30 pm EST... after Pelican Parts had closed.
When I called today, the attitude had a "too bad" tone. I stayed on hold for 18 minutes waiting for a supervisor. I was then informed that he was busy and would call me back. When he finally did, the same attitude was displayed and the resolution that was offered was simply to have the parts shipped to me for Saturday... even after I explained that the car was no longer in my possession due to the part not shipping. There was nothing else offered to make up for the lost business, reputation and cash they cost me... I will never order another part from Pelican and strongly recommend that you shop elsewhere.

I ordered engine parts for BMW engine. Pelican sent me an invoice and billed me for the parts. The next day they sent an email saying the part was discontinued. This has caused great turmoil with my engine builder as other parts from another supplier were ordered at the same time.
I checked Pelican's website and they have already removed the parts I ordered from their advertising. Too bad for me a day late.
Pelican deserves lower than 1 star for not having their inventory current and purged of long-ago discontinued parts.

I would like to apologize that we did not live up to expectation on your last order. I wanted to see if you have sorted everything out or if I could be of assistance. I also wanted to provide you with a bit of color on what transpired on your last order.
We list many parts in our catalog that are special-order from Porsche BMW, Mercedes. About 95% of the time these parts are readily available to ship within a few days. Sometimes they take longer, and sometimes they are only available from Germany. In your case it the products where “no longer available” by the OEM manufacturers. We do mark these parts NLA in our catalog with the latest updated information we can get from the manufacturers. Occasionally this information is unreliable and spotty. That makes us look bad. Unfortunately, the only solution to the problem is to not carry or list all of the parts.
We have made a business decision to continue to list and attempt to acquire these parts for our customers. Most all of our competitors have elected not to offer this service. There are rare occasions when we go to place the order we are told by the manufacturer that a part has now been made NLA (no longer available). This happens less than 1% of the time with these parts. We do attempt to message this information to our customers. When any of these parts are added to the shipping cart, we display the following message:
NOTE: In some cases, a Genuine Porsche/BMW/Mercedes part must be imported from German warehouses -- which requires longer shipping times and an additional "Germany shipping" surcharge. If this is the case, we will contact you prior to processing and shipping your order. Occasionally, a part is out of stock worldwide or no longer available. In either case, we will let you know.

I have bought from lost of online parts suppliers accross the world, Rexbo Germany Brit-car United Kingdom, ECS Tuning, Autohaus and MBpartsonline to name a few in the US but NO-ONE stands out for the kind of customer service Pelican Parts gives its customers. We offer everything from the Genuine, OE Supplier Part, and entry level items as well. We want to give our customer the choice of selecting what type of product they need for the particular project they are working on. Some are building a concours show stoppers and looking for the exact Genuine replacement. Others enthusiasts are looking for an option that gets their vehicle back on the road at the least expensive cost.
Pelican does provide free shipping at $49.00 to the contiguous 48. If you click on any of our “This part may qualify for FREE shipping,” there is a pop up that will appear with information on our free shipping policy. Some items are excluded from this program however we do offer several discounted shipping options. We display the shipping cost for each of the discounted shipping options in the cart before an order is finalized. We hate paying duties as much as you do.
