I've used PlayerUp in the past. It /seems/ good in theory, with Middleman "balancing" the scales by ensuring trust on both sides. The actuality is much farther from that.
PlayerUp is atrocious. Any type of non-bot support is essentially nonexistent. I've only heard horror stories from the seller side. From the buyer side, it's a toss-up whether you actually keep your product or whether it's swept out from under you. Of the three accounts I've purchased, I only retain one to this day. The other two were claimed back, a RuneScape account and a Red Dead Redemption 2 account. PlayerUp support did nothing to assist, or levy any consequences on the sellers, who are still selling to this day.
I have been attempting to get PlayerUp to let me cash out my accumulated credits for four actual years, spread over five separate tickets. The only one with "replies", the one with 6, was me repeatedly cursing and ranting at nothing because no one answered. Of course they wouldn't want to lose more money, even if it was through a system they designed to incentivize further purchases through their website.
PlayerUp is completely untrustworthy. They don't offer support in any form that doesn't further profits for them. Quality of life, returns, claims, disputes; if it doesn't make them money, there's no reason for them to try.
I registered a PlayerUp account yesterday and decided to make a purchase on an account. I contacted the seller and he wanted to deal through MiddleMan. So I proceeded to make payment and received a pre-middleman setup. It has been over 24 hours and I have yet to receive a reply or a response. I even messaged the MiddleMan through a seperate conversation, email their support_playerup.com and even created a thread in PlayerUp Middle Man Thread Topic. I will change the review if I received a satisfactory service

Overall fantastic site. Just be patient. This is based on experience using them as both a buyer and seller.
I paid for the account SWGOH and within 48 hours i have not received any follow-up steps. I have written to Middleman support and no reply has been provided. The problem is not solved. I'm still expecting fast reaction from the platform stating [USER=*******]@World[/USER] most secure P2P account market place@

THIS SITE IS COMPLETE GARBAGE. If you have a nerdy hobby that wastes money and time, this is the place to go :) I used their middleman service and sent money to a seller in June, but the seller didn't get paid until December. The seller and I kept messaging them, but were ignored every day. I hope there are fewer victims. Don't use this crappy site! No matter how many excuses these $#*!s come up with, it doesn't change the fact that I paid in June and the seller got paid in December. :))

First of all, there is no thirdparty service (middleman) supposed to act as an intermediary between buyer and seller. It doesn't exist.
PlayerUp didn't respond to any of my messages or tickets.
At each stage, everything is done so that the operations are NOT intuitive for vendors, one feels lost in front of all the buttons and deadlines are pushed to the maximum each time (and always exceeded)
More than a month now since I delivered my account and not a single dollar credited in my account.
Several lawsuit are started in the US for this site that has already been comdamned in the past.

LAST UPDATE: I tried to buy something with the credits PlayerUp gave me. Unfortunately the buyer did not have the expansion "Forza Horizon - Storm Island", which he assured me he had and which is the only reason I want to buy the account. I will ask for a refund, this is definitively too frustrating for me. It is also very unclear how the buyer can change information regarding the seller an viceversa. I just hope I get my money back. ASAP I will ask PayPal for help.
UPDATE: The support contacted me and is working on the case... For now I give it 4 stars for the reassuring call! I will give more stars and close the PayPal case, if this issue is completely clarified (either with a refund or if another item will be provided to me).
ORIGINAL ISSUE: I did a transaction. Well I tryed that. It did not work out, because the buyer did not send the account. I changed the status to Buyer - Cancel order. The buyer wanted to set to Seller Cancel order, but the option was obscured. PlayerUp support did not answer, but after a while took my cancelation request away. I will have now to open a case via PayPal. I hope I get the money back.

After I put a urgent request in, customer service was very helpful and quick to respond to my inquires and help me get a refund after I was scammed. Great service, and definitely recommend, especially for those buying online accounts and services.
Following up on my last review, as usual, after I left the negative review I immediately got a reply after months of silence claimed that they actually had already paid me and I just didn't withdraw the money. Like most of what they say this is a lie.
And to keep the party going, they claim they will only pay if I delete my negative review. Something I've actually done twice so far and still haven't been paid.

TLDR: Sold an account a month ago, the buyer got the account and I never got paid for it. Do not use this website
I tried selling an old game account I had on this website, without proper research because there's plenty of negative reviews about it online, and I paid for it...
I got an offer for my account on 30/09 and the way the website "works" is that after an offer is accepted and paid for a 3-way conversation is created between the seller(me), the buyer, and the "Middleman" (The middleman is the website's staff).
In this conversation, the buyer hands over the account details and the seller confirms he got what he paid for. After that the "sell" is complete and the payment process is supposed to begin...
7 days to by without any updates and I tried to message the Middleman to see what was going on. No reply... I looked everywhere on their website and tried every single method of support available and got no response whatsoever...
So after realizing I got screwed I came to this website and wrote a complaint like this one... Within minutes I had a reply from the Middleman asking me why I filed a complaint and didn't try to contact them before... BS. He then says I have to delete my negative review before they can continue with the payment, hilarious but I comply to see if anything comes of it. (Just checked and he deleted the messages asking me to delete the review but I got it screenshotted)
So now that I deleted the review, the payment process "starts" saying it takes up to 4 days... 6 days go by and I message him again but no reply. Another 2 days go by and I message him again saying the negative review is going back up and within minutes, yet again, I got a reply asking to switch my payment method... I actually give him another option and 5 days go by and they say they are "working on the payment methods" I chose, that they have listed on their website as supported... More BS
They'll just keep leading me on and on like I read on other reviews that aren't written by their own staff and I'll never see my money.
Do a bit of research before using such websites as I should've...

This is my first experience of using PlayerUp website. I sold my account on 11/7/23. Everething was fine: fast creation of 3 way ticket, fast response to my question about previous scam attempt from the bad person, secure. Account was sold for 185$ and on 11/19/23 i got message that 160,95$ arrived to my Middleman Wallet Balance. Then i made attempt to Middleman Wallet Balance Cashout and got this message: "Your payment has been successfully scheduled to be sent and it will appear in your Account within an estimated 1-96 hours." After 1 week i started worrying and ask about current status of my payment but got only automated bot response. In my country PayPal not fully working so i choose BankTransfer (Global) method. Although the sellers can be bad the playerup mods have helped me out settle my order. I had a problem with an order as a buyer and playerup mods helped me settle it which I'm grateful for. I got the refund and they punished the seller as well so I appreciate what they did for me.

Telling me they were verifying the payment until today, but they still haven't told me if they have paid me, and they only would suspend without random excuses to evade paying. They would remove the post when you confronted them for payment.

PlayerUp refunded me the money I lost when I got scammed from a seller. Middleman protection works and is worth it. I just might add they need to work on keeping repeating offenders off the site, as they just make new accounts and resell same channel multiple times without any red flags going off.

Lets be clear on this one: Playerup is clearly the most secure place to buy game accounts. They clearly try to advance the buyers interests vs. the sellers interests. The Middleman process allows you to securely purchase an account through a 3rd party (with verification required), and they offer some insurance options to protect yourself even further after buying an account. Now on to the one bad part: The first transaction is going to take a while. I'm not going to sugarcoat that, expect the first Middleman transaction (when you're an unverified account) to take a long time. They're clearly backed up on initial verifications and make that pretty clear if you start a support ticket. I'm still in the process of my first transaction, and though it has been extremely slow. It's clear that it's a secure process, and let's be honest with each other, would you rather have a fast process that's insecure or a slow process that's secure? In the less than safe world of buying gaming accounts, you want the latter. I'll make future transactions on Playerup and hope that my current transaction is wrapped up quickly so I can buy more :) As an update. My transaction was completed, it went by very smoothly. I recommend that you buy from sellers on the site who have "High" feedback, as they will give you the easiest buying process.
