I like to watch the Roku channels, but because I don't know that the channel logos are for certain channels, I am not able to find the channel I am looking for, which by the way was advertised by the channel number on the ad on the Roku channel. When I called and spoke to a technician, that I could barely understand, I was told there was never a channel listing by number. That is a lie, because that's the way that I looked, and the Roku website shows the channel guide by number and logo. This has been very frustrating that no one seems to understand.
Roku definitely is slacking on app updates. My Hulu on my phone is up to date with my news show I watch every morming...however on my roku, it's uploads of Hulu are 1 or 2 days delay, depending on the day. Very dissatisfied. I'll not be getting another Roku.
I pay for VUDU,HULU,Peacock, Paramount+, Disney+,and it has ROKU,Tubi,Pluto,and still can't watch too many major sports! No NFL Monday Night football( or the majority of NFL) games,playoffs,Superbowl,very little MLB baseball,no playoffs or World Series games,no NASCAR,just to mention some! You have a ton of soccer matches,rugby,and WWE... how about starting to show the kind of sports the majority of the U.S. actually watches!"
Why does roku keep changing their channel guides? I have no numbers now for all my streaming stations. Now theres just icons and no numbers. I think roku sucks and I will definitly make sure the next tv I buy is not roku. This is second time I've had problems with there stupidness. And I still don't like that there are not numbers on the remote. Its a pain in the $#*! to keep surfing to a channel instead of just putting the number in. Couldn't do that anymore now since theres no numbers on the guide?

Bought a 4k streaming stick from Roku.com. Shipment took 10 days. Once delivered, unit would not work. Then the return/replacement was a hassle and I had to pay for shipping unit back to Roku in San Jose, California from Florida. Stupid

Have had (pre-tenths) 2 tvs with Roku. They don't have apps for Bell fibe, Cogeco or Rogers. On top of that it's slow as FU@K locks up all the time. Smart TV? I'm pretty sure my cats litter box is smarter than any Roku product and more useful. Garbage hands down
I purchased a quite expensive voice pro remote that arrived broken. It took over an hour trying to find a phone number to talk to an actual person to help me return the remote. The hoax corporate number sends consumers on a wild goose chase. I finally got a number for tech support to get help with the issue. I talked to 4 different agents who all pretended to send a return label for the broken remote but they never did. I know they had the correct email address because they quickly sent customer satisfaction surveys and that they received my request for support. But no return label showed up in my Inbox or Spam folder for the remote as promised. One agent told me it would take 3-5 business days to get a return label via email. I waited 2 weeks and still nothing. So I called again and gave the next agent another email address since the agent swore they emailed the label to the first email address while we were on the phone. Nothing came through to either email address. Roku's customer service is an absolute scam. All consumers beware!
It's not even 2024 and Roku is playing democrat political ads every single ad break. Ridiculous. Makes you not want to vote for the candidate that is flooding the viewers with ads and turn Roku OFF. Is that what they're going for?
Have repeatedly tried to find a way to contact Roku by phone to request information about specific subscription charges. No way to even discussion what some of these subscriptions are or if they even are actually Roku services. Very unhappy...charges are continuing. Looking for a way to actually speak to someone without having to pay to ask a question about my own bill. Any help out there would be appreciated.
For years I liked Roku and it worked well. I recommended it to everyone. Now i no longer can open any of the channels including Netflix and Amazon prime. Instead there is a message on the screen that there is no more space and to delete some channels. I deleted most of them and still it does the same thing. On line I found that many others are having the same problem. I am now shocked to find that Roku no longer offers any tech help for the basic type of Roku that so many of us have! I have never before had a product for which there is no tech help. Roku just offers general suggestions, reboot or restore to factory settings. Many comments on line by users say they did that and it didn't help. It is because of Roku not providing real help for this problem that I am giving it one star and now recommending to everyone to get another streamer like fire stick. So disappointed, my Roku used to work perfectly, and in the past I could get tech help for it from Roku on the phone.
The current Roku commercial has to be the most annoying thing ever! Repetitive & horrible. I can't get to the remote quick enough to mute it! Enough!
Never again would I buy or recommend buying a Roku TV. As far as picture quality etc it is fine. After 7 months the volume intermittently goes out and crackles. This is not the reason I dislike it so much. It's the incessant Roku commercials that I detest. Every 6 minutes they show the same annoying commercials. This is in addition to the network commercials. I understand advertisements are a part of tv viewing but constant Roku ads are just not necessary. There isn't a station they don't interfere with, including music streaming.
If you are looking for LIVE TV, don't get ROKU.
All of their "LIVE TV" shows are pay per view channels, who in turn, play LIVE TV for the cost of

Omgoodness can't understand a word when call in to customer service it takes 12 minutes just to decipher the beginning of the call because you can't understand a lick of their English then the customer service skills are horrible God for bid if you need some troubleshooting so I buy a Roku TV only to have to still see commercials I could've kept the turn dial TV going with all the cable cords if I want to commercials what's the point you find a show and then you have to wait for commercials that's like stepping back into time they don't offer you anything other than just a platform to watch other platforms, and we all just go along with it can we at least get some American English speaking customer service agents on board or at least with the dialect it's not so strong or better yet open a call-center right here in the US who still watches TV with commercials so I guess because it's free you have the commercials so if you charge you don't have commercials I'd rather pay $1.99 for no commercials
All my 3 roku's skip icons as I scroll through to choose from the list of shows, movies, even in search. Roku avoided my question. My roku's are new, paid close to 300$ for them now so roku needs to do is an update to correct this bug!

Answer: One of the first questions asked is which language you would like to use. Usually set to English as default. I would suggest you do a factory reset if you are stuck or contact customer service.
Answer: If you don't have your Roku set up to automatically update under system settings then that would definitely help. I would try that first and see if it works. You can also go to the channel icon ie: Netflix and instead of entering hit the * and you'll get a pop up with different options, choose update and see if that helps. The icons should not be grayed out... just saw the date on this and went oh welllll...
