Owner Francisca wants someone to control...has cameras everywhere. Ordered me around doing chores that her or her son could do but she is sooo lazy, very loud and very deceptive. A wily personality. Police have been here twice already and I have only been here 2 weeks...said she doesn't get along well with women but I am a man and trust me, she's off her rocker. I am studying yoga, that's my demeanor! Good luck to the next victim. Room was great though with adjacent bathroom. Can't say anything bad about accommodations. If you don't do all her housework for her...you're toast. She's a real hypocrite...I don't judge because I have been unstable at one point...and karma is a $#*!! Hope this helps. Namaskaram!

I rent out rooms in my house and several of my tenants have reached out to me from Roomies. Definitely one of the top three useful sites when renting

No one gets back to a potential renter. This business is a scam. The rooms that seem legit are never available.

I posted a room for rent, and I found the good applicant for this room. My room was rented out after I posted a couple weeks.

I had quite a lot of interested renters. I like that roomies verified the Identity of these renters and also thier criminal background & credit checks. Makes me feel at ease. Easy to use.

My daughter rented a room from this woman. She broke into her room several times while she was doing her internship. Doors were left open, camera was installed to stop her. Stole mail from her boyfriend and behave strangely odd. Do not rent with this woman, she is moving to another apartment; RENTERS BEWARE!

Easy to use, and quality of users exceeded my expectations. I was able to quickly navigate the site, and felt that the integration with credit checks led to a secure way to share sensitive information

My daughter used roomies.com to find a room and had an absolutely traumatizing experience! Her landlord ended up being a nightmare and their ad was completely misleading. When she reported the landlord's behavior, the customer service ignored her and behaved as though my daughter was inconveniencing them! They have continued allowing the landlord to keep their ad up. Terrifying when you realize any scammers or abusive landlords are not only allowed, but supported and encouraged by roomies.com to continue to prey on trusting renters.

I have had good experiences with this site a couple of times in the past, many years ago, so I decided to use it again.This experience however, has been horrible.I contacted customer service to let them know that the home I found on their site and ended up moving into, was not safe for future renters. Several things about their ad were not accurate or truthful. The landlord had been inappropriate and aggressive from the moment I signed the lease, and was attempting to rent out other rooms as well. I was concerned another renter would be duped. Customer service I told me if I sent them proof they would address it. I sent them several screenshots of weird, aggressive texts sent by my landlord and didn't hear back from roomies.com for several days. When they finally responded they told me it wasn't their problem, they weren't going to help me, and I should go to the local courthouse to find out what my rights were. They allowed my landlord to keep her ad up and it is still up several months later. The staff at roomies.com is astoundingly unprofessional and completely negligent in their consideration for the safety of renters. I can only imagine how many thousands of terrifying landlords they have been warned about all over the country and they allow them to keep their ads up. This site is horribly unsafe for renters because of the behavior of roomies.com employees. Your safety is at risk if you use roomies.com!
Update: Inappropriate behavior by a landlord towards a tenant is not a disagreement. Deceitful ads are not monitored or reviewed by the roomies team at all when reported-that is a lie. After asking for evidence and it was provided, it was specified to me by a roomies employee that you only care about their on site activity-not their behavior in the home with a tenant. That can be horrible and roomies.com will happily still leave the ad up. Your response should tell the public everything they need to know.

First off,I moved in on the 10th of the month and he claimed I owed him for the whole month. Not to mention he asked for the rent a week before it was due.
He failed to mention that he had his daughter living there,shooting up and leaving needles and blood all over the house.
My belongings came up missing.clothes,cologne and food.
He let me slide on paying half the deposit and I over payed by a week on the last month I stayed there. He refused to pay my deposit back and claims I stole hair dryers from him. I don't have hair.
I wouldn't recommend letting my animal stay there. Much less a person.
This isn't a mark against this man,personally he and I were ok with each other.but I'm still missing my stuff and he hasn't paid me my money that he owes me. It's been 2 months since I left.

I literally did nothing wrong. Just logged in, and got banned out of no where. I tried emailing them and no response. Oh well. Im going to use FB groups.

So this is a very big issue. I was in desperate need of a place and my roommate on Roomies failed to tell me she's a drug and alcoholic user. This site needs to be removed post haste

Roomies provides a great site to list your rooms for rent. The selection of tenants is amazing and it's easy to use the website.
