I purchased several body shapers from Shapermint, and what happened after trying one of them on has left me deeply concerned about the product's safety and hygiene standards.
The night before leaving for an 8‑day Caribbean cruise, I tried on one of the shapers for the first time. Immediately afterward, I got into the shower. By the time I stepped out, I had developed a painful boil‑like sore on the inside of my thigh. Overnight, a second sore appeared directly across from the first one, which made me worry that this might be something contagious. By the time I was able to get to a doctor, a third sore had developed next to the original one.
The doctor informed me that it appeared to be a bacterial infection and that it was likely contagious. I was prescribed antibiotics, and the timing could not have been worse. My entire cruise was affected—I was uncomfortable, in pain, and forced to wear large bandages to keep the sores covered and contained.
When I returned home, I decided to test the shaper I had tried on. I poured peroxide on the inside of the fabric to see if it reacted. It foamed immediately—in the exact spot where the first boil had appeared on my thigh. Although I attempted to record this reaction, I unfortunately did not hit the record button correctly, so I do not have video evidence.
Regardless, the experience itself was extremely distressing and unacceptable. This raises serious concerns about whether the item I received had been previously worn and returned without proper sanitation. No customer should ever have to worry about contracting a bacterial infection from a clothing item that is purchased new.
I am sharing this not only to request that Shapermint address this issue, but also to warn other customers: wash every item before wearing it, even if it is supposed to be brand new.

I bought 1 bra a few weeks ago. The cups were too small and the band was fine. That was a size S. So, I ordered a M and now the cups are too small and the band is way too big. The fabric is too stretchy and not substantial. I'm not heavy so this loose fabric does nothing to support me. Returns are a horror show, the Rachel Mint is a rotten bot with no real answers. I got signed up for a membership somehow and when trying to cancel the membership after being told to go to" manage subscriptions" only to find that there is only a "manage membership", which when you click on it it puts you back to the same page, in a nightmare loop. I wanted to return the bras and have not been able to do that because the Rachel Bot referred me to someone else that will contact me in 3-5 business days. I just want to return the 3 bras that don't fit and are junk fabric. I don't want to pay any restocking or return fee. It's not my fault the product is faulty. I WANT MY MONEY REFUNDED, NOW. I ordered one item from Shapermint that I did not like. I have been sick for 4+ months, so I haven't been able to go through my credit card statements with a fine tooth comb, but I did today. I found that they have charged me $4.99/month for some kind of a membership. They might have hidden this in fine print or not posted it at all. I tried to call, but there is no one who answers the phone, not can I leave a message. I went to the BBB site and found loads of customers who Shapermint has scammed as well. Please do not buy from this company.
I had a bad experience with shapermint. The sizing chart was untrue and the shapewear I got did not fit well. The company had a complex process of returning the item and the customer care was not fast in responding.
The fabrics were not comfortable of the camisoles. My usual size didn't fit. What I really object to is they advertise easy returns. They actually charge 6 dollars for each return, plus the shipping you paid to get it. I think that is really steep for bras and under garments that have fit issues. I might have tried again with them. But this has soured me.
Don't bother doing business with this company unless you want to constantly do online chat with their Bots. Absolutely no way to talk to an actual human.

I tried to cancel a subscription for an auto ship of 2 camis (not sure how I got on the subscription list to begin with). I was surprised to receive an email asking me to expect a shipment. So I went on line to see if I can cancel it. I could not find a telephone number for customer service. I looked and looked and looked, so I decided to chat. Well, that was a total waist too. It's not a real person, her name is Rachel Mint but she has no idea how to answer my questions. It was horrible. Needless to say I received the package. Now I have the original 3 camis I ordered and the 2 camis that came a few months later. They don't fit. They don't hold my breast in place like all the pinterest commercials say, and the one that I tried on and wore for a few hours rolled up constantly. So now I have one used and 4 unopened packages of Shapermint camis I can't wear. And customer service is non existent. I'm a disabled senior citizen and can't get out to return things.

I brought 4 items, strapless bra does not hold up/lift, essential cami does not support breast, high waist shaper does not have stomach control to look flatter. The essential sweetheart bra is the only thing that covers my breast and lifts up. Very unhappy with my purchase and will be returning items.

Which was to discuss a credit of $60.20 that I tried to use on an order and it would not let me. Delivery service did not deliver to the right place and I can not get Shapemeint or UniUni to help me. I was missing two bras from my order. It took over a week to get ANY response that wasn't an AI chatbot. Another five days revealed my bras had never been sent with the original order, and they would send them in the next week or two. Totally unacceptable. Even though I LOVE their products, I will NEVER order from them again, it's too difficult to get a hold of anyone to resolve issues.

I bought a bikini bottom that's supposed to pull your stomach in but it didn't. I looked into returning it and it would only give me a store credit but they had a choice for refund that wouldn't work. Finally figured out I can only get a credit. I was supposed to get a sarong as a gift and tried chatting with them online but the bot they use was infuriating! I finally typed Agent and it said someone would be with me between 10 and 30 minutes. No one ever came. I finally wrote a response saying how frustrated this whole process was and clicked out. It was easier to keep what I bought than get answers. Good luck if you need help. Now this survey wànts a reference number! Where do I get that?

The convertible bras are very comfortable, supportive of my 40G boobies (even without the straps), and have great built in pads! There's space behind the padding which confuses me but it's great nonetheless.

I'd never order from this company and would not recommend others to do so either. You can find some of their products on Amazon where at least you have recourse if the item doesn't fit or you're not pleased with it since Amazon accepts returns and refunds.
