The worst crypto site I've come across. These are ordinary thieves. If I want to transfer crypto to another wallet i can't just have a skrill to skrill. This is horrible and should be bypassed. I wanted to transfer some money to iq option from skrill i took that option and after money transfer skrill site just poped cant transfer money deposited with master card simple spited in my face. U ppl are scum. And let's not forget the price of crypto when you buy and sell oh boy those bastards will take 20% of ur profit. I dont like this site its pure crap.

Its a scam, avoid

When you deposit your money to your skrill account, they lock your account from withdrawing or sending your money at that very moment unless you go through a very hectic process of meeting their standards of verifying yourself.
That's a scam right there because you are forced to do things to be able to have access to your own funds which you yourself deposited.
Not just that, they reject your documents over and over till you can meet their insane standards.
Their automated service of verifying your location doesn't work ever.

On top of that, when you are finally verified, enter your bank details (same bank details that are already being used to receive foreign transfers) and their withdrawal service simply gives you an error.
Check customer service and they tell you to re enter same correct details over and over and mark your case as resolved from their own end.

You have literally no way of going around this loop and having access to your own money which you deposited yourself.

Can't understand how a service and company who operate like this are allowed to function from UK.

I have just been ripped of 150 euros by Skrill because I received my withdrawal from my forex broker. I never knew Skrill was set up to defraud their clients claiming it was a breach of agreement. Till now I don't know my offence and my account is locked with my funds trapped. That is my life savings and if however I commit suicide, I have written a note that Skrill is the reason.

Lose your money!

They suddenly shut down your account and force you to prove your identity (which they strangely always refuse because of simple excuses). So in the end your money is gone, "perfect"! And now I am just afraid they use my datas for criminal activities, because they BLACKMAILED me to shoot a selfie of mine next to my identity card if I want my account activities (money) back. And ofc they need like always for responding.

When first using it, the website gives you easy access to deposit in money, though withdrawing is an issue, in which they keep your money. Actual scam. Would give this trash site a negative rating if I could.

Worst experience

Deposited with Master card and actually cannot do anything with those money, because they cannot be used for online transfer, and I am not able to withdraw back also on the same card deposited because is mastercard. Its last time I use this crap

Skrill stole mymoney

I have been using Skrill since March this year and have sent a small transfer (around $100) once a month. Other than a few technical issues, I've had not problems making these payments until last month. Last month, when I tried to make a transfer, Skrill temporarily restricted my account, asking for further information to confirm my identity. I immediately provided this information including copies of my Australian Government-issued ID. Skrill then unrestricted my account, send me an email my account was verified and allowed me to make the transfer.

Today, I deposited $100 USD into my account in order to make a transfer. Skrill allowed me to make this deposit and charged me a fee of $2.50 USD for the deposit. I immediately attempted to send the same amount to the same person to whom I've sent a number of successful payments through Skrill in the past, but I was unable to make the transfer and Skrill notified me that my account had been temporarily restricted, without giving any reason.

I sent a support request to Skrill asking how I could un-restrict my account, and I received this response within a short period of time (attached as screenshot):

Dear Lisa Marlin,
Thank you for contacting the Skrill Help Team.

We would like to inform you that we have made the decision to discontinue our business relationship with you under the Skrill Terms and Conditions.

Please be advised that our decision is final and irreversible.

I have now attempted to access my Skrill account but I am no longer able to log in and am given the error "your account has been permanently closed." My bank account has been charged for both the $100 and $2.50 USD but I cannot access these funds to either transfer or recover them, nor has Skrill responded to my subsequent attempts to contact them since the above response.

I do not believe that I have violated their terms and conditions - Skrill has not provided any evidence of this, and they accepted my previous deposits and transfers of the same nature and to the same person. Furthermore, they now have possession of my funds which I cannot access, as well as charging me a fee for service which they didn't complete.

SKRILL IS A SCAM!

SKRILL HAVE STOLEN FROM ME ALMOST 800$! They have closed my account without notice with almost 800$ and refuse to withdraw my money! This is insane! Everybody should withdraw their money as fast as possible! Do no trust in skrill. All the good reviews are fake!

I signed up with skrill towards ending of 2020, as a freelancer who gets payment online, I decided to try skrill and for 3 months I didn't share my link to get payment with skrill because I was trying it out but immediately I shared my email and got payment, skrill restricted my account and I have uploaded my government issued national identification module but they rejected it severally where as I suggested to them that all they need is the identity number and with access from the government they can run the ID identification number and get every detail they want.

Since December 2020-July, when I uploaded another state ID in July 2021, with my picture, date of birth, address and state of origin, they rejected it too and their disgusting excuse was that, 'We don't know if this is a government issued id or because we have no means of verifying it'

That's a very dumb excuse!

So I requested for a refund to my PayPal email address and a closure of the account, they actually closed the account but refuse to refund nor reply back.

That seemed like thievery, and they are doing this to many customers that are from other countries. I noticed they are scared of messing with countries that they would easily get sued, hence why customers from America or England or in Europe aren't experiencing this.

By the way, checking their history, they started as a gambling company, so what do you expect?

I have been a Skrill client for the past 5 years. This isn't the first time the company has caused me issues, as one time they have sold my personal data, but I stupidly decided to give them another chance.

I tried to withdraw money, in a street that is less than one block away from where I live. My account was locked for "security reasons". They requested a selfie and my ID, I did that immediately. My account was not yet unlocked, because it takes "up to 48 hours".

I can't use my own money because it takes them 48 hours to do their job, of something they caused, and they can't even check immediately something I have provided as soon as they locked my account.

Next time you're looking for a money account, keep in mind how they treated me. You could have an emergency and you would be SOL because they don't feel like doing their job. I needed to make an important payment tonight and I can't do it. I was treated like an idiot from customer support because of their screw up.

Funds Disappeared
June 4, 2021

I sent money to Skrill using my Visa card so I could pay another Skrill user. The money briefly appeared on Skrill as a deposit and then vanished. There is no record of it on their site now. When I called customer service and emailed them with proof of a bank statement showing the funds deposited to their site, they did nothing but send me general rules and then marked my complaint as "resolved".

Prior to that, I started the site using my Master Card. I read all their rules, but Mastercard is not permitted despite their rules. They still took $200, and after hours on the phone they finally refunded the money back to MAstercard and asked me to use another source of payment. That;'s why I used Visa. Then when I used Visa, that's when my money just simply disappeared.

Don't use them. They steal your money.

Be aware, real thieves.
I put some unused money from paysafe slips, like 2 or 3 euro, on the account for couple of times. After that I paid some games on Steam account. Once I had no paysafe slip I put money from my VISA card to skrill account. And that was the end. I was not able to withdraw money via Steam. So I wanted to send money back to my card or back to my regular bank account. Impossible - they block my account I wanted to provide me all possible personal info, copy of id cards etc.
I asked their support to put money back on my VISA card – their refused and they kept the money. I wanted to close account – so I have nothing to do with this "company" – it was refused again.

I finally managed to log in to my account, but I am restricted with any transactions. My money is still locked and I lost a thousand US dollar last week due to inability to use my funds. I talked to them twice and all I got is "we are working on your case". I will appreciate it if there is anybody out there to advise how to sue this site.

No one should use skill. It should even be banned it hate it how can a young guy like me get the documents they are asking am too young to get those documents. Its my prayer skill get banned that's my prayer because i was sending money to someone and they brought that verification. So my money is still stuck in it. It someone's money i need to go hard for it. This is my sad news

Entered the wrong ATM pin and got locked out of my account. This really shouldn't be this big of an issue. I uploaded my state ID and my FOID card (federal ID), and they won't take them. I don't know where this company is located, but I use my state ID all the time. I called them and what do you know, they don't accept state ID's. Now I'm stuck trying to recover my money in my account and its ridiculous. I called them 3 times, they say they are located in the U.S. and listed- not buying that one.

If I could, I would give Skrill one star. I am not sure why people keep using it, including myself. However, I am not using it in the right sense of the word, but have an account while trying to get my money and they are making it impossible for me to use that money. Skrill is not accepted in almost any of the most secure and top visited online stores, so you can't spend your money either. If you can't spend or withdraw your money with Skrill, what can you do with this $#*!-stained service? You can buy crypto - but don't ever NEVER EVER use Skrill to buy crypto. The system will prevent you from selling when you want to make a profit or buying when you feel like it. They also retain all rights to rob you off your crypto in case they decide to remove it or in case they decide that you are violating the policy. What is their policy anyway? I think no one ever knows for sure because they constantly change $#*!. HEY SKRILL MFs. If you are reading this, NO ONE WANTS TO HAVE THEIR MONEY MISHANDLED. It's money for the love of god, and we spend time earning it, not to let some stupid service p; preventing us from using our money. $#*!head service, awfully idle support and a truly horrible place to keep your money.

Don't use this company. I should have checked reviews first. I made a big mistake by allowing Skrill to withdraw money by giving them authority to use my routing and account number for $500. They have been holding my money for over a week now. When a person sends money, they expect the receiving person to get that almost instantly. I think a person should use a money transfer entity that requires ID and location, at least the state where it's sent. Thanks for reading.
