After a week of jumping through hoops, the company STILL will not verify my account. All I wanted to do was send money to a Pastor in Kenya for medicine and bibles. The customer service pretty much laughed every time I called, and sounded as if they were sleeping to boot. I've contacted the credit card company and will be disputing the charge if they do not accept my request for reimbursement of the money and close the account. Waiting for their reply since customer service Ivan apparently does not have the "authority" to do it. What is he there for then? Although my driver licenses was not expired, they would not accept it. It appears they have too much power and nothing better to do than to piss off customers for no apparent reason. It is not difficult to see I am who I say I am with all the information that I submitted even though it was NOT necessary. AVOID THEM! Unless you prefer to be jerked around. Not worth the aggravation.
However, it would be useful if they'd had some kind of agreement with PayPal and other big online financial institutions so it would be easier to send and receive money from and to other online platforms. Still, Skrill can issue a card for many citizens from many countries and they offer everything you need from online shopping and online finance managing solution.
They asked to verify my Credit card by charging me 2.6 $ then when I tried to get the money back the asked to verify again by 2.25 $ after verification they needed to charge me 3.3$ to get my money back
When I keyed in my credit card number to deposit, They said " they wanna verify my credit card and took away EUR 2 dollar, then tell me my card is false. "
Then never pay back the money to me after 10 days
(My card is 100% available and real, because I paypal money to people with this credit card everyday and amazon and...)
If you are looking for a LEAST costly method of accessing your funds, I won't hesitate to say that skrill is so far the BEST.
Their charges are entirely reasonable and they do NOT charge you an annual fee or a maintenance fee. If you use a mobile wallet to withdraw funds, you can do it INSTANTLY and they don't charge you for it- it's totally free!
However, as the saying goes 'Nobody is perfect', skrill has its' drawbacks too.
1) Firstly, if you send an e-mail to the customer support, they never reply. So basically, you have no way of contacting them.
2) Secondly, at times(for days at a stretch) the system fails. I have been trying to withdraw money and it doesn't work! If they could fix it, I won't hesitate to recommend Skrill to anyone.

I have never had an issue with skrill, and I am equally suprised by all the super negative reviews. I also started using it back in 2010 when it was still Moneybookers to receive my online payments for writing jobs. It sucked when I would have to transfer cash from Skrill to my bank account and I would always lose a lot in hidden charges as others have mentioned. Then they introduced Skrill iT, which to me is simply a God sent. I tend to believe that it is banks that 'steal' the money somehow, because with Skrill iT I always get what I expect.
In the middle of Jan. 2016 I have withdrawn money as INR. From Skrill. They charged a small amount. But the transferred amount was only 10% and the rest were stolen by hidden charges. For my complaint they just sent a mail that the issue as resolved as third party bank involves in the process. But my bank account letter shows that they have received the money through skrill.
Skrill is not a reliable company. Thieves. Looters, Please do not trust the skrill. Do not do any transaction through them.
Lost access to my account on 12/2/2016 without any reason given. Login impossible, password reset impossible, support does not reply to inquiries - yes, literally no response at all.
Several thousand Euros are very likely lost. Skrill might work for a while but don't be fooled. While I don't think it's a scam, it's certainly a very unreliable company which should not be trusted with any amounts > EUR 100. Customer service has always been non-existing with Skrill.
They want to verify then when you submit and over a week later it still sits in their cue as new. If you submit a question about it, it gets closed automatically. They don't respond to emails, the phone number listed is disconnected! They are very shady. Do not use or you will lose your money. They are a scam.
I've been using skrill since 2010 till today to trade forex and i have never had any issue of them scamming the only issue i had was when they deducted money i owed without saying my account was -100 and when i deposited 300 there was only 200 in my account but they kindly explained and showed why when i asked so yeah i don't get what everybody else is saying.
I got screwed up by a person and I reported the fraud to the company Skrill but they never gave me a satisfying response. I got that following statement: "The matter has been handled by our security department accordingly." I called their customer service and told them that I'm not happy with their weak feedback. I asked a simple question "If the person is blocked in their system so that he can't screw up other people anymore?" and the customer service clerk wasn't willing to answer my question properly. All the time the person dodged my question. That is a simple yes or no question and answers like "The matter has been handled by our security department accordingly." keep them in a grey zone and that matters to me. As a fraud victim I would like to know definitely if that person is still able to harm other people or not. Losing 100 pounds is painful seeing how the company handles fraud issues hurts 100 times more. Their business is about clarity as well as trust and for that reason I wanted my concern sorted out very clearly. I asked them once more via email whether their company has taken action against this person so that he isn't able to betray and harm other people anymore, YES or NO? Zero response! You can't trust that company. A big warning! Don't ever use that company!
Received $60 but cannot widthdraw the money to bank or credit card.
Emailed them, sent message via facebook page but they ignore me. My money is stuck.
I am really surprised by all the negative reviews. I use Skrill.com (back in the days Moneybookers.com) since 2010 with NO issues at all! It is not as popular as PayPal.com, still it is a good service providerfor payments.

I was thinking to open an account with Neteller that's why i checked the reviews of both... Neteller got the SAME bad reviews (even worse) thats why i'm going to open an account with them if u see what I mean.
Money was taken out of my checking account by this company and when the bank contacted them about the fraudulent charge they refused to assist in the investigation.
Skrill is a nightmare. They try to obtain your SSN, your driver's license scans front and back, your cell phone number so they can text you, etc.; they have no customer service, and any banking service should have 24/7 support.
I am part of a company that does mystery shopping and my payment goes to Skrill (no choice unfortunately.) In the past, I was able to get my money transferred to my bank account without much issues. For my recent payment, I have raised multiple tickets in order to resolve whatever issue they think there is (I'm getting a rejection on withdrawal no matter what I used, whether bank transfer, debit card etc). I also called their support team and followed the instructions to the letter such as registering a new email address, changing my password, sending them an email from the new email address etc. Until now, I am still unable to make a withdrawal. I've tried to send an email to the person who handled my complaint but nothing, no response at all.
Extremely slow customer support, not to be trusted.
When I've first opened my account I've had some problems activating it so decided to send an email to customer support, they took about 3 weeks to reply to my email.
Do no trust this company, I've heard from friends they had accounts frozen for no reason and other problems, customer support is almost non existent.
Answer: Their problems are many: 1. They are scam artists. 2. If you try and email them and you do not have an account with them, you'll get an email saying "We don't know you" and force you to open an account with information you don't want them to have. 3. Their main office is in England! Yeah good luck with the time change on getting anyone live. I could not find a working phone number in the US to reach them. Scam, scam, SCAM! Stay away!
