They just want to sell you anything, doesn't matter what a piece of crap it is. Busted old games, or just complete junk to use in their games. To top if off, their customer support wavers between sucks and nonexistent.
Don't waste your time or money on this site. Put your time and money into an education. You'll never be able to recover the lost time wasted on a bunch of a******.
Really if you have scammers going around taking several or even more unauthorized transactions out of your account... as 100s of people would verify. Just close the hell down Steampowered,
I give you 4.5/5. You need really much more often make discounts becasue quite much new games for playing there.
Seller asked for payment through steam powered cards, I purchased them and as requested sent them photos of the cards individual number, under scratchy area. Now seller has disappeared and I have no recourse. I've lost $800 through this scam.
Very customer friendly, you can get a refund pretty easily here. Sometimes it's hard to log in - you have to enter the steam guard each time and the code changes every 30 seconds or so - not good for slow typers...
Verified several $100's of items for trade, my items, the player & account that wanted them disappeared. Contacted Steam repeatedly, no help. Ideas? Suggestions? 2 years of trying to get this resolved, it's like talking to a wall. No one listening or trying to help at the company. Any other players have suggestions on how I might resolve this? Does Customer Service ever reply to emails?
Probably the best platform for games. I am using this since CS1.6 and since than they didn't let me down not once.
Their downloads are unreliable and they won't give you a refund if it doesn't work. I downloaded Final Fantasy remastered. It worked well for two play throughs and now it won't launch. Fallout New Vegas crashed from the beginning.
I buy games here, but I cannot get a refund if the game did promise things I did not receive. They just ban your whole account. Not a good service... bad, really bad.
So this is a review from someone who has been with steam for awhile now and has bought multiple games from them. Its a great way to have games without all the problems that come with getting the cd stuff. I mean i deployed and came back and guess what there were all my games a year later that i could just download and play all over again without any real trouble. Also, u can get lots of good deals on it for games that are ok but not to popular or older games. Now for the bad. Guess what even though its a huge company with plenty of money im sure since I've never heard of them having issues they really don't have customer service most of their stuff it seems is just automated like refunds and other stuff. You cannot call and talk to someone or talk to a tech or supervisor. It all about those tickets. I understand to a point if they were smaller not to have customer service but with their popularity and size would think they would have something. Now they are just a seller so a lot of the times u can get info from the actual company that made the games sometimes as they do maintain them. Steam doesn't really specify for new people about that so a lot of my friends have bought games after i told them to go there and just have a ton of bugs on the game but can't contact steam or the company because the company dropped the game and steam doesn't offer that up front when buying it usually have to read through the comments. The other problem is their refund policy. U got problems with a game well they will refund your money guys as long as its below 2 hours of game time awesome right no argument really just ask away... well... except... what if your bought and are playing an RPG or strategy game or something like that and 2 hours and 1 minute in u start crashing a lot. Well doesn't matter if u cant play the game anymore because that auto-response isn't a person so it wont read your message it just sends back a big NO. How much did u lose 30 bucks... 40... doesn't matter. Guess what u can't call customer service because they don't have it... yay. So like i said great system for a lot of games but my recommendation is do not buy expensive games from there. Btw most of the time that games on there don't sell well the price usually drops or they put deals up for you so don't hassle if u can't afford it right away because they usually throw most games out with deals except the big sellers of course. So all in all u will like this system most of the time but problems do exist and they can make stuff very annoying since u cant get a hold of anyone to really get stuff done. You can also try origin for some popular games and gamestop for others i believe and search best alternative websites for steam will come up with some other dlc sites that u can use safely
I LOVE steam. Awesome place to get the latest and greatest games and regular sales that let even gamers on a budget get the games they've been wanting!
I have used Steam as one of my favorite games retailers for over 5 years and have always been satisfied. The have a wide variety of computer and console games. The often have sales where products are available at extremely reduced prices. It's a good place to find other gamers for multi-player games.
Twice have I tried to put money in the steam wallet and both times it was a fail. It also took a long time for them to respond. They have ruined my gaming! One game I have played for about 5 years now, I cannot purchase anything on it because steam says I have only 2 cents in my account! I have tried twice with Steam only to be disappointed twice. I am not going to try again, they're crooked. I can't even find a number to call.
The game I played has changed over billing to Steam too.
Steam is one of the best online gaming communities there is. The website is safe and easy to navigate, and payment is professional and secure. All you need to do is be careful and network yourself properly on their online community.
These folks are in the business of stealing credit card numbers. Do not use your credit card number on this website! Our children used our card to buy a game here and they continuously charged the card until the bank cancelled the card.
Don't buy or download anything from steam there THIEF'S! The only good reviews u see here are from them. They have a rating from A-F on the BBB website there's is a F,,, If you are even thinking of buying anything from them or downloading there software so they can hack into your system you may want to go to the Better Business Bureaus website and SEE FOR YOURSELF IT'S ALL THERE OVER ******* COMPLANTS AND THE NOT RESPONDING TO ANYONE FROM THE BBB. http://www.bbb.org/western-washington/business-reviews/computer-software-publishers-and-developers/valve-corporation-in-bellevue-wa-*******
Answer: There's a higher volume of users that want help from Steam Support, however, they'll often try to answer most of the questions that is coming in a daily basis. Steam doesn't have enough staff members to check on the endless questions coming in so you question is most likely on queue. For the other question are you using the same account from the old PC? Please use the same account onto your new PC. Normally CDKeys will follow the original account it was placed in.
Answer: I haven't saw a video game that requires ongoing payments. Most video games I have purchase are all one time payment. However, there is a steam sale going on right now. Remember the games are only linked to one account so you can't transfer to another account.
