If you want to order from somewhere that gives you shipping dates before purchase that change to a month later after, sends incorrect sizes often, and cancels some items you purchased a month later, by all means good luck. This company has went straight into the sewer. Would not recommend to anyone. The other companies like swap are way better and are reliable.
Almost 3 weeks now since I purchased ONE (1) ITEM. This item still has not shipped. CS is a huge joke. WORST COMPANY EVER! If I could have given them a -5 I would have.!
Will never purchase another item from them again.
I placed an order over a month ago and my order confirmation told me everything would arrive within 2 weeks. That was inaccurate and when I contacted customer support I got a form message. Later I learned through the website that one item in my order was cancelled. After over a month, I realized that another item in my order still hadn't arrived and I had not received any shipping or tracking information. Will not be shopping on swap.com again
Ordered a few pairs of pants to make the $10 shipping fee worth my while. After my order was confirmed, one of the pants got removed from my order... because they were already sold? Still got charged the $10 shipping fee except now I was only getting sent 2 pairs of pants. I finally get the pants (takes a few weeks), and even though one of them was specifically labelled Size 22, they were actually a size 32, which means they're way too big for me. I look up their return policy and they charge a $5 shipping fee for all returns, even if it's their fault. Since the pants were $10, I would be going through the hassle of returns just to get $5 back. They also have two different customer service emails listed: *******@swap.com and *******@swap.com, so it seems like a hassle to try to fight for my money back. Now I paid $26 and only got 1 pair of usable pants. I may as well have just shopped at a real store.
I ordered some boots. Sept 11. Still nothing a month later. I wrote them six times. No response. They blame Hurricane Ian. What was their excuse before? I think they lose things. Or they have things posted that have already been sold. They need to get their $#*! together. I could not contact ANYONE. I asked for a "refund". I THINK they have processed that. They better not charge me ANYTHING for an item never received. They need to have an easier communication system, and organize things better. Otherwise, I like their clothing. I find unique stuff there. Better quality and much cheaper than ThredUp, who actually have a person you can actually talk to. Is crap customer care service the price we pay?
Horrible place to sell items, even worse customer service. Takes months to even get your items online, then they keep all the money and charge you fees. You give them your items and by the end they give you nothing!
I have ordered from Swap several times and the product is usually as described. However, the shipping has become unbelievable slow. The product is shipped from multiple warehouses and there is no way to track a single item out of an order. Part of my order was lost, and as it has a single tracking number, UPS can only tell me that it was delivered. Swap has no way to actually contact customer service and diverts all shipping inquiries to UPS, who can't help. I ordered my last order on July 1st, and it stilI has not arrived on July 23. It is not a good business policy to make excuses about shipping delays without any attempt to locate the package. I prefer Thredup and will use it in the future ~ they still manage to ship in a timely manner.
Update on this review: I finally was able to contact Swap, and they issued a refund. It was not quick, but they did credit my account.
Toller Laden. Große Auswahl an Waren, angemessener Preis, sachkundiges Personal. Ich war angenehm überrascht von der Garantiezeit. Jetzt werde ich hier öfters kaufen.
I found this website from a buzzed article and was skeptical at first reading reviews and just the overall site itself. The prices were surprisingly great and almost too good to be true. As a buyer I decided to make a small order just to test it out, and it worked great. Shipped quick and item look exactly like in the picture. Made 2 more orders and both came just as good. I have not had any experience selling on this site or trying to return items so that I cannot vouch for. I think, with these prices you should expect not to return items so overall a great experience. Use code "SWAPSHIP" for free shipping 6-22-22
Ordered and paid for pants. Did not receive item ordered: different color-different size. Contacted customer service. Ten days and no response. I am stuck with something i cannot use and out my money.
Received email May 12,2022 to expect refund in 10 business days. June 8th, STILL NO CREDIT AVAILABLE after contacting support! Time frame to receive credit back on returns is ridiculous! I just want to use up my credit and be done with this company, never to return.
I ordered boots from swap.com on 2/9/22. They arrived today, 2/12/22 and they are not the size described. Even with super heavy wool socks they are too big for me to wear. I went out to their return page and entered every single number from both my confirmation email and the insert from the package. Not a single number is accepted as a valid order number. I contacted "customer assistance" both on their site and via email and received a vague "we are very understaffed and will get back to you as soon as possible". I am concerned that they will not get back to me within the 14 day return window. At least I'm only out $25. If I never hear anything I'll just donate these sasquatch boots to good will.
Update: Today, 2/13, after multiple email exchanges (including threats of bad reviews and complaints to the BBB) with swap.com, I FINALLY received a printable return label which will hopefully rid me of these giant boots and put $25 back in my pocket. I will update you anon...
Update: As of today, 2/25, the boots I shipped back on 2/16 are still not showing up as delivered on the USPS website. Swap.com sent me a "how would you rate your recent experience with Swap.com" email, so I unloaded on them. I also initiated a chargeback with my credit card issuer. Again, I shall update you anon...
Update: The boots were posted as "received" on 2/28, but still no credit was issued. As of today, 3/20, the chargeback I initiated nearly a MONTH ago went through and I finally received a credit. Just don't do business with these scammers.
I noticed recently that my orders from SWAP have several items suddenly unavailable after I paid for them. I got an email saying those items would not be sent because they were unavailable. To add to that annoyance, I am now disputing charges on my credit card because SWAP thinks it's ok to refund your payment for items they notify you aren't being shipped at all as STORE CREDIT. How on earth is it ok for them to take a credit card payment for goods they don't send and then keep the money?
I am very satisfied with the work of the store. I ordered twice. The quality is excellent, the prices are great. The work of the store is well-coordinated, the staff reacts very quickly to orders. Always very polite and friendly. Thank you! I will be ordering more.
Surcharge for high reject rate in inbound 1Z*******E*******491.
They charged me a bunch of these and then listed all my brand new item which are still on there site and selling them stole half of my order which was the same brand new item I shipped in.
I have pictures of all my brand new pieces and there all identical. My clothing store shut down so I figured I would try them and all they do is sell all my clothes and charge me surcharges and as we speak I have 1 dollar in store credit after sending them a 1000. 00 a thousand dollars in brand new clothes lmao. What a rip off and they steal and then charge you a sue charge on top of it and I have more proof!
Report to Illinois AG and FTC. Just google Illiniois Ag and do that, then google file a consumer complaint FTC.
Constantly have to remind them to issue refunds weeks after they receive items. I keep a chart of RMA #s and tracking now so I can email and say "where's my refund?" weeks after it is marked as received by them but I still haven't received a refund.
They constantly charge me for items I ordered that they didn't ship-they advertise items they don't have in stock, constantly! BUt you get charged not when they ship, but when you order - so they have YOUR money tied for a long time for items they don't even have - and not only that, but they don't refund you unless you're on them like white on rice.
For example, one item I couldn't wait to get, they marked as shipped but it wasn't. I was promised via email a refund within 10 days - for an item they didn't ship - but then I never got a notification confirming I got a refund so I emailed them to see what happened and they said it was refunded. Thank god I din't just say "ok cool." I wrote back and asked them for proof - bc in my order history it says refund pending - and they sent me a screenshot saying PENDING. So no, I didn't get the refund. So now I have to email them AGAIN.
This is a month after I ordered it. Convenient racket they got going on there - charge you for items they don't have, don't send you emails confirming they've issued a refund, you have to keep track of them like it's your job. I still order from them bc I have gotten great items there but they have turned into an unetthical sleazy as hell company, a huge fall from grace in the past 2 years. If I weren't on them, they'd literally not have issued me hundreds of dollars in refunds.
Just look at their shipping label costs 19.99 that comes out of whatever you make they sell your stuff extremely low prices. Then if it doesn't sell they can mark it down until they donate it? If they donate who knows they can do what they want with it. They worked out perfect little skim for themselves in a win win situation. In which they get a huge tax right off for. The box you send in they'll charge you 12.99 to send it back your in the hole 34.00 before you even make a sale for pennies. Sell your stuff on Ebay, or Posh.
I've been a customer for a few years. My negative experiences involved receiving filthy, smelly sneakers and buying a pair of primo Nike running shoes with a 1" hunk of canvas missing from top of the shoe (not shown in ad so I didn't know). Swap customer service agents were good about my returns - only negative was it took too long for the refund. Once I emailed them, they refunded it to my cc. Another disappointment was a black women's cardigan and when I received it, it was a stretched out, enormous mess. I returned it with no problem. The biggest problem I see is clothing is mislabeled. For example, I was looking at rompers, liked the price of one but the photo was of cute ripped jeans. If I buy the "romper," will I receive the jeans? The multiple shoes I've bought- with exception mentioned above - have been incredible! My suggestion would be to include more photos of clothes/shoes labeled "fair" or "good" condition.
Overall, my experience with Swap has been good and I completely understand others' frustration! I can see the changes they've put in place and yes, they have problems which could be resolved with attentive management who are ultimately responsible for a company's success or failure.
Swap.com has in the last six months made a huge advertising presence along with a push to grow. They have difficulties fulfilling orders, have began passing off sub-standard quality, and have poor communication about orders. They no longer care about the customer. I will take my money elsewhere. They charged me for an item I didn't receive, then my order before that was supposed to come in a couple of weeks because they were backed up. I finally got my November order in January. I have been a customer since their beginning.
Been a regular customer for about 5-6 years, I've experienced a few minor problems in the past where they sent children's clothing instead of the adult size that I ordered. Usually bought 40% off so never minded just giving those items to a neice. THIS year my order is all over the place, shipping one item at a time of a 50+item order! Beyond annoying! Bought over a week ago for a birthday present for myself but doesn't look like I'll have the majority of it before next month according to their estimation. (On the FAQ page) Customer service never contacted me back. Besides this I still see the same inventory marked high price for things that have been there for years! Some of the quality of things is good and some you will find out a zipper doesn't work or it's just something way weirder in real life than you saw on the site ie baseball pants not marked as baseball pants but rather in the casual section etc. I don't see myself ever coming back.
Answer: I have only placed one order so far. I ordered 10 blouses. I returned 5, due to size issues. All 10 blouses were nice, but 5 did not fit quite right due to different manufacturer's. You need to get an RMA # for returns. I was promptly refunded my money for the 5 blouses. I would order again in the future. I am not aware of any return quantity restrictions. Hope this helps.
Answer: If you want to sell clothes, all the information is on their website. Basically, they get a percentage and then they pay you thru an existing PayPal account that you set up.
Answer: Hi Patricia, We are on about a 55-60 day delay in processing inbound shipments. When your items are processed, you will be notified via email that they are ready to be priced. Have you sent an email to our support team at assistance@swap.com yet? A member of our team can look up your account information and give you a better idea of exact when you can expect to see your items. Thank you, Lauren Swap.com Support Manager
Answer: Same here, I sent a box in June and have received nothing nothing saying it was accepted or rejected absolutely nothing. I've sent 5 emails and nothing. I will be contacting the better business bureau as well.
Answer: I don't think so. I've sold and from my experience it varies. The things that I thought would sell first, haven't sold yet. It varies by what people are looking for at the time. I've bought all different seasons at random times. I buy by what's a great deal. When selling, group like items together. I've noticed multiple things sell first.
Answer: Hi Jo, That is correct. You can return items that do not fit as long as you request the return within 30 days. We will send you a pre-paid UPS shipping label to send back your return free of charge. Once the return is received, we will refund your card within five (5) business days. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at assistance@swap.com. We are happy to help! Best, Matt
Answer: There's no way for them to go over prices. They have to see the items and determine from going over it, if it's acceptable, once it's accepted, then you have to determine the price you want to sell it for. You could try searching on their site for similar items and see what they are priced at. I did notice when pricing my items that I'd get a little notice with recommended prices, which was very helpful. I didn't have a good experience selling but many others have. Make sure you take pictures of your items, that's very important. I appreciated that their site is set up to allow you to take back your items if you changed your mind about selling them. I'm in the process of getting back my items. Hopefully it works out well and I get all my items back.
