The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support mechanisms. Many users report a lack of effective communication and responsiveness, with automated replies dominating interactions. Concerns about fraudulent activities and inadequate buyer protection are prevalent, leading to financial losses for both buyers and sellers. On November 30th, I sold to the user zenab******* a pair of 18k gold earrings (6.7 g) and an 18k gold clover necklace (5.60 g). After much haggling, I agreed to sell both pieces for 975 euros. The buyer chose InPost shipping, and I sent the package correctly.
On December 5th, the tracking stopped updating in the Netherlands and remained inactive for 7 days. The buyer was anxious, and I was very worried, fearing the package had been lost or stolen. I contacted Vinted and InPost numerous times. It took days for them to respond, and when Vinted finally replied, they simply said that this sometimes happens and not to worry, as the package could take until January to arrive.
The package finally arrived at an InPost office on December 12th. I immediately informed the buyer, as she said it was a gift for her daughter and she was in a hurry to receive it. Two hours later, the buyer messaged me claiming the package had arrived broken and empty (she sent photos) and opened a claim with Vinted. I also opened a claim.
After several days of back-and-forth conversations, so-called investigations, and repeated requests for evidence, Vinted decided to refund the buyer, claiming that the items—which supposedly were never received—were fake, and they even threatened to close my account, which, frankly, is the least of my concerns.
Vinted never saw the jewelry, nor did the buyer, as she always maintained that the box arrived empty, which can be clearly verified in our conversations. Yet, they arbitrarily decided to refund the buyer without returning my jewelry and without conducting a real investigation.
This company protects neither the buyer nor the seller. I don't know who scammed me, but Vinted acted based on a lie and did not handle the situation properly.
Your proposal is NOT a solution, I don't have the item I've paid for, a it was damaged I paid to return it, Vinted closed the return after I'd sent it (with in 5 business days) so no refund. I paid buyers protection, 2 lots of postage and the cost of the item (which has been received back by the seller) and according to Vinted's policies, consider this a solution, final decision and not able to offer me any alternative!
My experience with Vinted was terrible. The seller failed to send the adapter that was part of the purchase and kept promising she would mail it. I waited, and Vinted automatically released my payment to her. When I appealed, they still sided with the seller. She then blocked me, and my order no longer appears in the system. This platform offers no real buyer protection and no accountability for dishonest sellers.
Order a second hand sweater from them. Firstly the order too long to get to me and when it did it was in a pretty bad condition. Utterly disappointed
I am beyond furious with Vinted after they completely screwed me over on a sale of my AirPods. I listed them in perfect condition, a buyer snapped them up, and I shipped them with full tracking that confirmed delivery to their address. But the buyer disputed it, claiming non-receipt, and Vinted immediately refunded them the full amount from my account—leaving me with blocked funds and no way to access my money!
To make it worse, the buyer clearly has my AirPods now, as tracking proves delivery, but Vinted's so-called "protection" only protects buyers who scam sellers. My account's funds are frozen, support is useless—generic emails that loop forever without resolution. They won't review the evidence I provided, like tracking screenshots and proof of shipment. This is straight-up theft: Vinted holds my money, the buyer gets free AirPods and a refund, and I'm left with nothing.
I've read so many similar horror stories; Vinted's system is rigged against sellers. Do not use this platform—it's a scam that enables fraud and steals from honest people. 1/5 stars, and only because I can't give zero. Stay away!
Vinted has shown shockingly poor business ethics and complete disregard for consumer protection laws. My 13-year-old son - a minor, legally unable to enter binding contracts in Sweden without parental consent - was allowed to make a purchase on their platform without proper age verification (just a checkbox). This is not only irresponsible, it is against Swedish consumer law. The package was supposedly "delivered" at 3AM, but was never received. Despite immediately reporting this, Vinted refused to help and simply pointed us to the courier, even though Swedish law clearly states it is the seller's responsibility to ensure the buyer actually receives the goods. Lost or stolen packages in transit are not the buyer's loss - yet Vinted washed their hands of any responsibility. To make matters worse, the courier (Earlybird) confirmed that Vinted must be the one to initiate a claim, but Vinted still refuses to act. Instead, they closed the case, released the payment to the seller, and left us with nothing. This company fails at two fundamental duties: Verifying the age of users before allowing purchases. Taking responsibility for undelivered goods, as required by law. Parents should be extremely cautious letting their children near this platform. And consumers in general should know: if something goes wrong, Vinted will not protect you. I would strongly advise avoiding this company until they fix their broken systems, respect consumer laws, and start treating customers fairly.
I got Scammed when i bought a Switch Oled console, the seller sent me some newspaper in a small envelope, i quickly informed Vinted with photo's etc, and all i have had is 1 automated response of, "this is taking longer as we are very busy blah blah blah" i have 2 days before my money is released to said scammer so getting worried, seems there is a lot of this going on now on this shocking selling platform, no communication, the do not give a sh1t about anyone as long as the money keeps rolling in. You cannot speak to anyone except an auto bot, if and when i get my refund I will be taking all my listings off this dodgy selling/buying platform, I advise anyone NEVER use VINTED, should change their name to SHAFTED
The app is full of scammers and buyer protection is just bull$#*!. The customer service does not care about what is written in their agreement. I have been scammed twice now. I will never buy anything again from Vinted... This is so sad tho as I initially loved the app and the whole idea behind it.
Vinted is deleting listings using blind, cheap algorithms instead of actual evidence or user reports. They punish honest sellers simply because a photo might exist elsewhere — even if it's our own work. This isn't protecting originality, it's destroying it. My biggest issue is getting my funds out... Just completed a sale and now I have to wait 7 days for my balance to go to my bank account! That is ridiculous. Added to this, my only sale went pretty bad too, I have no choice on courier, there is proven damage due to lack of care, yet I need to do something to resolve it out of my pocket! I can honestly say I will NEVER use vinted to sell on again.
Tried to sell a brand new belt with the price tag and the size printed on the belt by the manufacturer itself. Buyer doesn't know how belt are supposed to be measured (from the leather fold at the buckle to the center hole) and measures up to the farthest point claiming the size is wrong. Vinted sided with the buyer despite clear photos of the size written on the belt by the manufacturer have been posted in the insertion, saying I didn't provide enough evidence.
It's really bad to carry such a reputation.
You don't even do it in a smart way.
The word of mouth I've heard from many ex-users of this platform, you've confirmed it in every possible way. It's disgraceful to run a website that robs people like this.
I made the mistake of telling you that I noticed how you manage these scammers, and even reported them to you. Hilarious 😅, because it became clear why you took no action: you're not "controlling" the fraud, you're part of it. You are the thieves.
Instead of addressing the fraud, you send me warnings about banning my account. Oh no, I'll be deprived of your praise! How tragic. In reality, I know that once you realized I uncovered your real business model, you tried to push me off the platform.
I was warned by others that you're the brains behind these scams. At first, I doubted it. But your canned replies, your refusal to investigate, and your string of incidents left no room for doubt. You got disappointed because, in many ways, you couldn't rob me. So you tried new tricks: ignoring my inquiries, sending fake notifications, unleashing other accounts to play the same games.
It must sting to be exposed. The truth is out, and more people are catching on.
Here's the bad news for you: I don't care about being on this platform anymore. Along with other victims, we're not only leaving reviews on Google Maps, Trustpilot, etc., but actively working on ways to protect the community from you.
Good luck, you'll need it.
Total lack of seller support! I've sent a product they lost it on the way and they simply abandoned me! This makes me wondering...
Where is my package? Did they deliver it and collect the money without depositing it to me? Food 4 Though 🧐
You cant contact them. Only a bot answering your questions. They earn so much money and dont care at all
Of course they will be scammers, when i download the app, create an account, put an authentic Fendi handbag for sale with all the proofs needed, and they blocked me from the app! I asked them why they said they will review my account and they disappeared. So basically they keep the fake items and ban the authentic ones! Date of experience: June 06,2025
VINTED IS A SCAM! Go on their website and try to click "Learn more about how to get a refund here." :)) )))) " Page does not exist
We are sorry but this page does not seem to exist anymore. Want to go back and try something else? "
They take the 500 pounds from the insurance. There is minimum 1 person at the insurance (the inside person) that accepts all their claims and they getting paid 500 pounds for every single lost order.: X Now that's WAY MUCH MORE MONEY THAN THE 30 POUNDS ITEM YOU BOUGHT, ain't it? :))
I've been using Vinted for some time now, but I am extremely disappointed with how my recent transaction was handled. I sold a new white shirt, and when the buyer returned it, the item came back with dirty marks. I immediately provided clear photographic evidence of the damage, yet Vinted decided to refund the buyer and penalise me as the seller. As a result, I can no longer resell the shirt as new, which has caused me a financial loss. There was no real effort to protect me as a seller. Despite the shirt being returned in unacceptable condition, Vinted prioritised the buyer's claim without properly considering the evidence I provided. Vinted's message of "Accept our apologies for the inconvenience" felt dismissive and failed to address the financial impact on me. It's incredibly frustrating to see how little Vinted cares about protecting its sellers from unfair returns and false claims. I relied on platforms to uphold fair policies, but this experience has left me questioning whether I can ever continue using Vinted in the future.
Vinted permanently blocked my account without warning or a clear explanation. I contacted them several times, including via their official *******@vinted email, but always received the exact same copy-paste reply. Even direct references to my rights under the GDPR and EU consumer law were completely ignored. It feels like no actual human is handling the case. Responses take days, and they systematically avoid answering specific or legal questions. The platform itself works fine, but if something goes wrong, you're on your own. Their customer service is truly unacceptable.
Unfortunately im experiencing the worse customer service from a company evaaaaaas
Shoulda read reviews VINTED scam people steal their money charge a protection fee which doesn't protect
Their site sells counterfeit damaged and broken goods they have the worse customer service a bunch of monkeys could do a better job they do not align with sustainability and how it stands for authenticity and honesty PLS ANYONE thinking of using this website read the reviews and ho elsewhere
Reported a possible scam ring on Vinted: multiple accounts flooding the platform with laughably fake Chanel and dubious "Max Mara" pieces, complete with bargain-bin photos and suspicious descriptions. I even detailed the frequency and red flags. Customer service? Utterly uninterested. They replied they wouldn't take action. Apparently, Vinted prefers to let its buyers play counterfeit roulette. I've decided to stop buying there - might still sell, but I'm not sticking around to get scammed with Vinted's blessing.
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
