So are you prejudice against women of plus sizes or you just need them to order on line so you can make bundles of money on shipping? You sent out a notice saying it is because it will give plus sizes more variety on line but how about being able to try things on? I guess you think the plus sizes take up too much room in your prejudice stores. Is the size a problem for you? Not high class enough? Thanks for rewarding all the ladies who have given you lots of money over the years for those plus sizes! Sisters support each other and DO NOT shop at Talbots!
Be aware if you return an item you will be charged for the original order shipping charge. I paid for my own return label and got charged for the original shipping! Never heard of this.
Their clothes look so cute in the catalog... but when I received them... the colors were dull and looked very little like the catalog. This used to be a great place to buy classic pieces. So sad.
I have been a loyal Talbots customer for years. They have great quality merchandise. So why only 2 Stars? It is offensive that they must think consumers don't realize they inflate their prices and then offer 50 to 40 % off! For example, an original price of $199 is now offered at $219. Yes they offer % off but it results in a differences of a few dollars.
I shop at Talbots because they sell good quality clothes in smaller sizes. I am a senior woman, not a petite at 5'5", and I keep in shape with a good diet and exercise. It is exceedingly difficult to find Misses pants sizes in 2 or even 0 (if something runs large). Thank you Talbots!
Shopped at a Talbot's store. Wasn't crowded. Asked for help multiple times, was told just take the items home and see what you have in your closet.
I know what is in my closet. This is why I bought a list to the store.
One sales woman spent 45 minutes with one client creating a storyline her words... of clothes. Yet I couldn't get 10 minutes of attention.
Talbots located in Southlake - The clothes were great however customer service was not. One lady in the cashier was very condescending. When asked politely for another size she immediately said no without looking at the clothes. I saw another customer check out and she was so polite to her. She definitely looked down on us with THAT look in her eyes. She looked at us as if we weren't worthy or classy enough to buy their clothes. EXTREMELY UNACCEPTABLE. That lady was the only rude worker there. The others have decent customer service. I don't remember her name but she had glasses, was middle aged, had slightly gray/brown hair, and worked on Saturdays.
I wish I had the name of the lady who provided me with excellent customer service today at the Talbots Lynnwood Alderwood Mall in WA. You know who you are. Extremely willing, very pleasant to assist with my purchase beyond the ordinary service. Went out of her way to get me available sizes of a hard to find outfit. People like her, are rare. Thank you for your wonderful service. You SHINE! Luv ya, Pat
Our experience with Talbots on-line parallels those of countless other customers (likely former at this point.
We ordered 3 items on about 4/24. After too much time passed, we received a delivery date of 6/2. ONE of the items arrived 6/22. No mention of what became of the other items. We finally looked at our order history which informed us that they were no longer available. How long have they been unavailable? Why no communication from Talbots?
What are the chances we will order from the beautiful new catalog? 0!
We are witnessing the suicide of a wonderful company! Why?
I ordered a bathing suit and some other summer items over 3 weeks ago! I realize that there is some issues due to Covid, but by the time i will receive, it will be 4 weeks! That is ridiculous covid or not
I've been waiting two weeks for my delivery! They choose the cheapest method of Fed Ex delivery and it sits for days in a Fed Ex trailer to be picked up, gets to one area, and sits for another 5 days. When I call they say a "delay". Their merchandise is overpriced and not the same quality as it used to be. Very disappointing!
I've been a Talbots shopper for decades and now wondering why. I've moved so not close to a store, but prefer online anyway, Can't believe the shipping charge and the misleading message for Classic members vs Classisms Premier members. I also didn't realize when shopping via a search for petites I would also have to again double-check petites when I ordered. So I got a non-petite item. I'm guessing I would pay more in return and re-sending fees than the item cost. Setting reminder to self to delete future Talbots messages to avoid being sucked into more after the fact regrettable purchases. While the Talbots clothing is mostly classic, their online processes are outdated.
I had a pay $10.75 shipping fee for 1 item delivered from the same state (Ohio)!, even that my shipping fee online was free. Upon calling customer service, I was informed that the shipping fee needed to be contested with the post office. WoW WoW. I could not believe what I heard. The compony needs to work a little harder and not ask their customer to do their job. Obviously NEVER will I order anything online anymore from them.
A little jersy hoodie cost $42 USD. With shipping, it cost about $64. USD. This translated to just under $100.00 Then customs wanted another $38.00 CAD. It couldn't possibly be worth that so I had it returned before ever receiving it. I received $62.00 refund, so I'm out about $40 CAD. WOW! I ordered it for Mother's day and it would have arrive two days ago, over a month later. SERIOUSLY?
I like the products BUT Canadian shoppers, don't order online! On a $123 US (about $170 CDN) order, I paid $63 in duties and taxes. And didn't know until the shipping company called me to pay before they would deliver. They do not have a warehouse in Canada that orders ship from. Will not do that again. Too bad in this Covid 19 situation.
I purchased two items over one month ago. Was told due to Covid 19 warehouse was closed but now open and should be shipped shortly. One item came called customer service waited for over one hour and was disconnected. A day later at 8:30 AM called sales who was Able to track the item but noted now in CT but cannot tell me why. She said she would transfer me to customer service this was now 9:00AM. I waited for hours on hold and at 11:30
Was again disconnected. I have neen billed for this item. Unless you can purchase directly from their store do not waste your time and money.
Do not order from Talbots. I returned $150 and change, tracking shows items returned 4 weeks ago, no refund, no answered emails, no answering of phone- spoke to someone who said let me put you on hold then click, hung up on me. Next course of action, bank fraud of their part.
I bought 6 t shirts last year and two this year. There are tiny holes after the second wash. The lady asked it I wore jeans. I HAVE ALWAYS WORN JEANS WITH T SHIRTS! Your products are now worthless.
Wow. Where to begin? First, the quality of the clothing. It used to be first-class fabric, workmanship, details. But the last few years, the clothing is so cheaply made... knits especially.
Every one of my Talbots T-shirts is now a pajama top (or a cleaning rag) because they are so misshapen after being laundered just a few times.
And their promotions are just ridiculous. Coupons and "gift certificates" arrive in the mail, and are completely worthless because they can only be used on "full-price" merchandise. And surprise! The applicable dates are the same dates when Talbots discounts everything, so the promotional mailings are worthless.
I just received a $20 "coupon" and used to buy a sweater online. A week later, I get an email that the sweater is "not available." So the $20 is wasted, completely. When I called to inquire, I get a recording that they are "too busy" and the call disconnects.
That's it Talbots. I'm cutting up my credit card today. You've lost a 30-year customer.
I purchased two items online and paid $8 for shipping. I decided to return one item. On Feb 7th, I dropped off the package at post office with a shipping label came from original package. Finally on Feb 25th I got my refund. But they took out $7.95 for return shipping. This is my first time shop at Talbots, i have worst experience ever, I won't buy anything from them again.
Answer: China, where everything else is made these days. I don't think many, if any, of their products are made in the USA.
Answer: They are sneaky. Waited over a month for a jacket, returned it and a month later I asked where is my credit. They said they received and put a credit in my account (not what I wanted as I purchased jacket elsewhere) but never notified me they received and I have a credit. In other words, they just keep unsuspecting customers' money and never tell you. I will never shop there again (except to use my credit if I can't get them to credit my card hahaha)
Answer: I have never had an issue with exchanges. I have never requested a refund.
Answer: The quality of the clothes going back about 10-15 years ago was EXCELLENT. I still have shorts purchased then but they are now showing their age. Purchased similar over the last get years and while they are still $60 the quality is on par with perhaps Walmart
Answer: They are easy to reach and cooperative. They are responsive to customer's needs
Answer: They are a legitimate company and have been in business for many years
