I love TJ Maxx but I can't use my gift card for $10.00 because shipping and handling is way too high. There prices used to be so much better. It used to be more like a really cool garage sale. Now they're just like everyone else. Over priced!
I don't expect the cashiers to fold my laundry, like it just came from the cleaners, however rolling it up at a ball and shoving it down in the bag like it's dirty laundry is simply not acceptable. I even ask her not to do it that way, and she proceeded with complete rudeness to roll everything in a tight ball and shove it in the bag.

The East Haven, CT Store refused to refund or offer a gift card for a suitcase that broke before I got on the plane. At the time of purchase the cashier stapled the ticket to the receipt. His comment was "In case you need to return the item". I should have gotten the clue this product was not a good one and voided the sale at that point. The returns manager told me I needed to contact the company who manufactures the suitcase. I said … "but this store sold the item to me. I left the suitcase in the store as I have no use for a broken suitcase. Let TJ MAXX put the suitcase in their dumpster. It is disgusting i just lost $69.99 + Tax to a huge corporation that can clearly afford to take back crappy merchandise. I called TJ MAXX customer service listed online. The Customer Service Representative said I should get a call back from their regional manager in about 24 hours. So game on TJ MAXX. I left you with the suitcase it is your turn to return my money or give me a store credit. If so, I will update this review.
I went into tjmaxx to shop this weekend with my family. Which I go into this store ALOT. I went to the jewelry department where there was no one working, I walked up front to ask if I could get help in the back and the lady totally ignored me and kept walking. So I found another lady who got someone to come assist me. The lady was very rude the entire time and got aggravated each time I asked her to see a new piece of jewelry. I did purchase something but it wasn't exactly what I wanted because I felt rushed. I will never go into this location again
Having been a customer since before TJ's was spooned from Marshalls in Beverly MA., I am very disappointed of your choice in billing partner, Synchrony Bank. Having encountered their uninformative billings and aggressive pursuit of payment ( I was subject to the USPS poor mail forwarding last fall and again this winter) this group puts out for you as well as other retail groups they service to include Citgo, Gap etc,, I am cancelling your card with them. When there is a problem they will offer a quick payment solution via customer's Debit card. Considering the number of issues with computer pirating or internal misuse of customer information,, I would never give my bank debit card # to anyone. This can result in massive losses to the customer with no recourse other than being issuing a new card from retailer.
I will use my Visa card issued by my bank. The rewards offered by the TJ Maxx card are trivial compared to exposure of my debit card information to malware. But will still love TJ/Marshalls/ Homegoods not so much Sierra.Choose a better billing partner and will be glad to come back to your card.

I tried to retire these chocolate covered cherries and they wouldn't give me my money back they tasted old, disgusting, and stale. If you ever want to buy something at tj maxx make sure you really want it it is very strict about there return policy and I suggest not going there and the lady's at the front are rude and sassy. They should give you your money back if you have a problem with it and they are bad with that.
Purchased some bed pillows the person I purchased then for did not want them. Tried to return them, and rude customer rep at cashier stated "no,cant return them, purchased and it states as is on the pillows." I purchased two that were supposed to be Platinum, however they were not they stated silver on the tags. I spent $145.00 at TJ Maxx in the Longview, TX store, and I will never go back to that store. I was at TJ Maxx today doing my Christmas shopping and I was going up to the cash register and I received this woman named Tracy she didn't say hi she didn't say hello or How are you? She just rung up my items and put them in the bag and didn't even say have a good day.she had her AirPods in. She was on the phone with somebody else so she didn't really acknowledge me at all, she was just very rude and made me feel invisible
I tried shopping recently in a local TJ Maxx and I was surprised that all of their prices have gone dramatically UP! Plus, the store is poorly lit due to them changing the lighting to a darker atmosphere. Housewares were very cluttery and the cosmetics and face department went very downhill by them adding various unknown type marketers and brands of facial products nobody heard of. Very cluttered and severly overpriced makeup, hair and face products. Poor brands of products, (home based internet) brands of facial products. Very unsuitable for a store to be offering the public. This store had it together a decade ago and now they DO NOT!

Lesson learned, once you believe you have selected all items they can still vanish and you have no way to modify order, neither cancel it to re place it, you have to pay shipping again to add a matching clothing piece. The chat is worthless they have no way to find available items at stores. Very far from good cust service. I was just told to drive to each store to find it.
