Purchased a textbook 12/31/19, today is 1/23/20 still no book has arrived even after several correspondences via email. Don't like that there is no way to contact the company by phone. Asked for refund twice, no response until a complaint was filed with the BBB. Never again, I'll stick with Amazon!
I ordered a book for my daughter that she needed by today to take back to college with her. I paid almost $9.00 for expedited shipping for it to get here today. When placing my order it shows the delivery date to be today. Well my daughter has left to go back to college and still no book. When I try and reach out to the company they give me a bs excuse as to how many days it could take to get here. They ignore the whole part that I paid the 9 to receive it today. Why did I pay the extra to be sure it was here today if they don't even get it here. Never again will I use this site, I ordered 2 other books from other websites and didn't even pay extra for shipping and they have already arrived. If you want to be over charged by false arrival dates and a customer service dept that treats you like you are stupid then this is the site for you to use.

I have ask for reissuance of one check. And after thoroughly doing accounting I am missing 8 check payments. Not counting 2 which were one book short on each. Making them 93$ each and both orders are approved for the quotes. So are you trying to pull a fast one?
I ordered a book a week ago (before Thanksgiving), received confirmation on the order, given order number, then received shipping confirmation. A day or so later, I'm contacted telling me that the order was canceled and that my money was refunded without reason. This was a Christmas gift for a friend. I could have ordered from dozens of other sellers where this book was concerned and I chose Valore because of the good reviews and I got burned. How can I trust this company to do this again? They aren't dependable so be forewarned that you won't always get what you ordered.
The product came better than expected for a used book and had the best price on the market at the time.
I gave it four instead of five stars because it arrived later than expected.
I placed a used book purchase with Valorebooks. I was sent the wrong book. Not the ordered isbn. Not bonded leather as you can see in the attached photo. I'm not wasting more time explaining the switch-a-roo. Overall customer service was garbage. The seller hosted at Valorebooks.com is HippoBooks. I had garbage customer service with HippoBooks before via another hosting site. At no time did Hippo ever return any email of mine. They just blew me off! At the moment I saw that the seller was Hippobooks I gasped. After the wait time of 48 hrs, mandatory for working with the seller (72 hrs since I had Sunday in between) I was then allowed to correspond with the host site Valorebooks. They too were less than interested in me. The end result is I have a book I wasn't looking for. And I was charged well over what it is currently worth. If you hate yourself, or you're spending an enemies money, then Valorebooks and their sellers like HippoBooks has lovely books for you! Have at it!
Wonderful way to purchase quality goods at manufacturer's price. Easy access to sellers all of whom were very responsive and informative. Would recommend to all!
Great service and suppliers. I can'tsay enough good things about this site... The suppliers are good old fashion when it comes to making an item for you and making sure that the customer, youare satisfied
J'ai utilisé chiceric à deux reprises maintenant pour commander des produits en sable. Le service était très bon, avec une livraison rapide. Je le recommanderais aux autres utilisateurs.
Do NOT buy from here. We purchased 2 textbooks over a month before classes were to start. One never showed up. The other book did not show up as described. The description: Horngren's Accounting, the Financial Chapters, Student Value Edition Plus MyAccountingLab with Pearson EText -- Access Card Package. There was no Access Code included. We paid $99. When I called they said it says in the fine print "may not include CD, etc.". It does not say anywhere "access code is not included." I pointed that out. They do not care. We had to pay another $84 to get the code elsewhere. What a joke!
They have been in possession of my book for 6 weeks now. Their payback policy is significantly longer than any of the other 10+ buyback companies I have used. By their policy I should have received payment 4 weeks ago. After several complaints I get differing stories from customer service and always get apologies and a promise to be paid in the next few days. I have serious doubts if I will ever get paid. Do yourself a favor and do business elsewhere!
From my own experience I can say that ValoreBooks is quite reliable. I bought couple books from them for my son and I am happy with my purchase
Trying to sell my book to valore books has been an aggravating nightmare. I quoted the loose leaf version of the book and even contacted their customer service to ensure I had the correct ISBN number. After mailing my book in I got an email saying it was denied and to contact them or they were shredding it, shredding my $195 almost brand new book! I immediately contacted customer service via email where they gave me a run around back and forth multiple times and would not tell me why it was denied. Finally after getting very direct with them they told me it was because the cover was damaged. Mind you this is the loose leaf version so the cover is just a normal looking cover sheet. So either they don't know that the cover sheet is the cover or they are just making $#*! up to hope they can "shred" peoples books and resell them for more. Then they tell me they will send it back to me at no charge because im upset. A week goes by and I receive nothing in the mail and no tracking info. I just emailed into them and their response was that returns take 30-45 days... so I had to get my book to them within days of the quote but they are going to have my book for probably two months while it looses value before they send it back. This company is horrendous to work with and I wouldn't be surprised if they scam people for bigger profit margins. Do not use them!
Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Their customer service is rude and condescending. With students being their primary customer, you'd think they'd be more understanding and considerate. I'll be taking my business to amazon where the customer is always right. Bad company.
I ordered a book for over $100 for my son's college course. Valore claims it was delivered and it never was. Their response was that UPS was sloppy and to look at my neighbor's house and in my SHRUBS! I have never located the book and they refuse to answer me on any level. I will NEVER buy from them again and I hope you don't either. Textbooks for college are expensive enough without having to hassle with this to get a refund.
Updated Post:
After I posted this review Valore advised they would ship the textbooks back at their expense, though it could take up to 30 days to get them back. Raising my rating to 2-stars since they pay return shipping, but still wouldn't recommend doing business with them.
Initial Post:
I shipped two books to ValoreBooks that were in almost perfect condition and they sent back a response on both that they were rejected for either water damage, damaged cover, binding or pages, excessive writing or highlighting or incorrect edition. None of the outline "possible" issues were an issue with either copy, and now they want me to pay a fee to have them shipped back! Seems like a scam to get free books. I can't speak one way or the other on other companies that buy back used text books, but I would stay well clear of ValoreBooks!
I placed a dispute against an amount charged to my debit card by Valorebooks.com following multiple attempts to straighten out my account with the company. You should know also that Valorebooks contracts with multiple vendors for textbook rentals
I rented two textbooks from them for the fall semester. I was required to have them return postmarked by December 14,2018. I printed out the return label provided to me online by Valorebooks.com, brought the packaged textbooks to the local UPS store and dropped them off on December 14,2018. Therefore, they were postmarked by the due date. UPS provided me with a receipt for my returned rentals drop off including the tracking number issued to me from Valorebooks.com return label. The second tracking number relates to a returned rental to Campus book rentals. However, I soon noticed two late charges on my Capital One bank account and contacted Valorebooks. Com. I contacted them through support tickets online. I provided them multiple times with copies of my UPS drop off receipt bearing the tracking numbers on the label Valorebooks provided to me. Valorebooks then credited me for one of the late charges ($6.92) but neglected to reverse the second late charge for $9.90. I contacted them again and was told to wait 3-5 days although I disputed both late fees at the same time. But it went on much longer than 3-5 days. Therefore, I placed a dispute on the second late charge fee $9.90 on my debit card bank account with Capital One. Capital One subsequently reversed the charge in my favor. Thank you Capital One.
However, on January 4,2019, Valorebooks charged my Capital One debit card account the full price of $60.55 for one of the textbooks I had already proven to Valorebooks that I returned. I placed a dispute on this amount with Capital One online and chatted with a representative. At this point, I no longer trusted Valorebooks with my debit card information and made the decision to have Capital One issue a new debit card to me.
I was able to find all my Engineering book! Thank goodness a my all classmate advised me of this website. Best Website.
Answer: DONT DO IT! This place is shady with business. They may or may not send you the products or even your money. It seems like a great website with great reviews, but dont be fooled
