Hello, Be careful with them as they are the scam, I bought tickets from them £31.67 for myself and my son for Louvre Museum last week to give my son who is 10 the special smooth access!
After arriving at Louvre they didn't accept what they sent to me and called it tickets! So waisted 2.5 hours of us asking different people walking around the entire museum trying to find the actual office! At the end I decided to buy a ticket which was just € 17! And my child was free, I wish to god I didn't buy from Viator! And guess what! When I emailed them and explained what has happened, they just came with various irrelevant excuses such as we what's app you, which was totally untrue as I don't have what's app on that number I've register with them then insisted that they sent the tickets through email! And send the attachments 3 days later! Very Clever! Well even now I haven't received any tickets or acceptable documents for Louvre, they refused to pay our money back although it was totally their mismanagement and lack of customer care,
Be aware.
I booked 6 tours through Viator. Some were good, some terrible, but It's apparent that Viator does a poor job of vetting tour companies. After taking your money, Viator says to contact the tour operator for details on meeting place and time. In my experience, the tour operators don't answer their phone, nor return messages. I tried repeatedly to get in touch with a tour operator due to a flight delay; no answer. I purchased a tour for 3:45 PM, but was later informed that the meet time was 3 PM. I arrived at 3:08 PM. The tour group was there (from Tours of Rome), but denied me the tour. He'd sold my spot to someone else. Regarding the delay, the tour guide said: "Not my problem". Viator denied my request for a $ 175 refund (twice; no explanation). I found out afterwards that Tours of Rome has a Google rating of 2.3 of 5 with complaints of unprofessional and rude behavior. Viator doesn't do anything but shill for marginal tour operators and collect Customers' money. They add zero value. Terrible Customer service.
I had a booking with them, they emailed me last minuite asking me to cancel booking as was no longer available, short notice and cost a lot more to find an alternate trip to replace it. Poor communication, thetpy had my money for months then xancelled on me...
We booked a snorkel tour in Kona for our family. Our family tested positive for Covid and came down with a severe case less than 24 hours before our booking. We asked for a refund. We included date-stamped pictures of our positive test results and our paxlovid prescription with our names on them. They refused our request multiple times and kept $530. Don't book through them. Book directly with the company.
Once they have your money say farewell to it and dont expect any refund or flexibility if any issue arises.
There r other tour sites like getyoruguide tiqets evendo etc.
Remember to ask your bank for a credit card chargeback of they dont refund.
Rien ne correspond au descriptif, sortie au Connemara sans rien voir ä part des arrêts arnaques touristes. 9 h de bus interminable sans clim et Un chauffeur qui brule les feux rouges... Pour un prix de dingue... FREDERIC France. 20 juillet 2023. Connemara au départ de Dublin. Une honte
I booked a wine tasting tour in Croatia and the supplier asked me to cancel my booking due to low numbers. I cancelled the booking as requested and picked the option available to explain that this was at the request of the supplier. Viator stated I would be refunded zero euros. It was unable to get in touch with their customer service so I reported the fraud to my bank, Viator Chargeback Response Team is currently delaying my refund request, and again not responding to the proof provided. Please don't use Viator, it is a scam.
I booked a Phila Evening Dinner cruise with this company - 90 days in advance. They make you pay in full. I traveled from FL to PA to meet friends, and treat them to this dinner cruise. 'DAY OF' Cruise, at 11:00 am, I get a cancellation notice! Nuts! Their policy is no refund if not canceled 24 hours in advance. I wasn't the one who canceled, so $475 was at risk! I did get my money back to my credit card - after a 45 minute conversation w/ Viator. Buyer beware. The cancellation email does not say 'who' canceled! Never ever again
I must share a cautionary tale about my recent nightmare with Viator. Booking a rafting trip through their platform turned into a disaster, worsened by their refusal to issue a refund. It's crucial to warn fellow travelers and spare them from a similar ordeal.
Despite following the address clearly stated in their "meeting point" confirmation email, we arrived only to find no organizers present. We were left stranded, wasting five hours on a scorching hot day. Shockingly, Viator blamed us for going to the wrong address, despite their own provided information.
Beware of Viator's poor customer support and their unwillingness to take responsibility. Refunds should be a given, yet they denied ours and shifted the blame. Spare yourself the frustration; explore other booking options and avoid Viator's lack of accountability.
We booked an Eiffel Tower Skip The Line Summit with Host trip with Viator to visit the top of the Eiffel Tower. When we arrive to the tower with our tour guides, we were informed the Summit was closed but that a refund would be available.
The difference in price between the 2nd floor and the Summit tours with Viator was $84.50 (for 2 people), however they decided that we should only be refunded $30.14 total. I went back and forth with them trying to understand their refund amount when the prices are clearly posted on their website.
Long story short, they stuck with their 35% refund because they wanted to keep the extra for themselves. I will no longer book with Viator and urge you to avoid them.
In a separate case, our flight was cancelled and we could only provide Viator 23 hours notice that we wouldn't make a different tour. They informed us that we missed the 24 hour cancellation window. We literally learned our flight was cancelled 23 hours before the tour, but they didn't care and we lost out on that tour and any refund.
If everything goes perfectly with your plans (in or out of your control) Viator is an ok company to work with. The minute there is an issue they will try to screw you over.
DO NOT BUY DISNEYLAND PARIS TICKETS FROM VIATOR! I bought tickets to Disneyland Paris. We arrived one hour early to ensure front-of-line access when the gates opened. We were denied entry at the turnstiles with our Viator tickets and spent one hour after the gates opened resolving the issue at the Disneyland ticket booth. We ended up buying a new set of tickets directly from Disneyland Paris and were told this was a COMMON PROBLEM WITH VIATOR TICKETS! As a result of missing the "golden hour", we ended up spending an additional $500 on Disney Premier (aka Fast Pass) to make up for the loss of time and opportunity. DO NOT BUY DISNEYLAND PARIS TICKETS FROM VIATOR!
They send a false confirmation for a tour, the tour refuse it and it was fully booked, so i went in barcelona to visit sagrada familia but i never did it
Purchase tours for both London and Paris is was the worst decision of my life. Viator buys tickets from a 3rd party company which in turns buys them directly with the company or place you are visiting. By the time you get your tickets Viator and the vendor will all their fees and charges. Example 3 people skip the line Eiffel Tower tickets were $70 with Viator they were $130 and then no one shows up to give them to you so I ended spending another $70 to enter the summit with my Family. Tours that are all walking and not on a bus as you expect (Rain or Shine) for hours and hours only to show you a section that could of been covered with a cab driver in 1/4 the time. Drivers were smelly, late for hours at a time, misleading tour information, Lied about what we were getting vs what actually took place, tickets that are never issued or people don't show up to give you the entrance tickets. I could of done 100 times better purchasing them there with out the 40 to 50% mark up that they pocket. You can book these tours while there from your Hotel or hire Local drivers and you will have a private experience vs being part of a cattle run that they mistreat.
TRUST ME DONT USE THEM read all the complaints about them not showing up with tickets or people not getting what they paid for. Talk to your Hotel, Local drivers and buy tickets at the location trust me you will save lots of $$$ and precious vacation time.
We will never use this company for a transfer. The day of our flight Our airline canceled and rebooked our flights to arrive about an hour later. We went to Germany so arrived the day after leaving the US. We notified them of the new flight information. Luggage took forever. No one was there to meet us. We called the emergency phone #, no answer, walked around the airport, called again to no answer. Finally found a US phone #. They couldn't get any answer either. Finally got an answer on the emergency number and the person said our transfer was there waiting and they left because we never showed up. It was our fault that our flight was canceled and there was nothing they could do about it even though they received a notification that we had new flights issued by the airline. We disputed them, and they refused to refund us. We are now in the middle of disputing it through our credit card company. I would never use these people again.
I recently had a truly terrible experience with Viator, and I feel compelled to share my frustration and disappointment. I booked an Excursion through their website for a group of friends and myself but unfortunately, due to unexpected food poisoning some of the members of my party were able to attend. I immediately contacted Viator to inform them about the situation and request a refund for the unused tickets and also notified the crew when they arrived to let know that three members were sick and could not attend.
To my dismay, Viator not only failed to issue the refund promptly but also demonstrated a complete lack of empathy and professionalism throughout the entire process. Instead of taking responsibility for their own policies and handling the matter directly, they deferred to the policies of the local tour operator which i may add does not make provision for illness - (these disclosures were just provided to me a few minutes ago when I called to follow up on the status of my refund). This agent was apparently supposed to address my refund request, but their involvement only added further confusion and frustration to an already unpleasant situation. I booked directly through Viator who should be the one processing or advocating for my refund.
It felt as if nobody cared about our predicament or was willing to take ownership of the issue. The lack
of transparency and accountability from Viator was truly appalling.
Not only did Viator fail to fulfill their obligation to refund us for the unused excursion tickets, but their customer service was nothing short of a nightmare. It became abundantly clear that they were more interested in passing the buck than providing any sort of resolution or assistance to their customers.
As a result of this experience, I strongly caution anyone considering using Viator for their travel bookings. Their unreliable refund policy and lack of customer service are indicative of a company that prioritizes profit over the well-being and satisfaction of its customers. It is deeply disappointing to witness such a blatant disregard for consumer rights and basic decency.
In conclusion, my family and I were left out of pocket and utterly frustrated with Viator's handling of our refund request. We will never consider using their services again and strongly advise others to seek alternative travel booking platforms that prioritize customer satisfaction and maintain a fair and reliable refund policy.
Thanks for booking on Viator

Worst experience of our whole trip. Spent over $100 to see the Royal palace in Madrid and were 5 minutes late due to blocked roads and the tour guide would not give us our tickets even though we arrived before she got to the entrance. Spoke to her in person and she was rude and inconsiderate of our situation. She turned away another family also--couldn't believe it after we spent all that money for $12 tickets that we had to stand in line for an hour to repurchase. Had been using another tour company before this called Headout that were so much better with 24-hour in person customer service. Viator only has chat and email customer service. After emailing them, they refused to reimburse our money. Worst experience of our whole Europe trip. Book with headout instead--great customer service and better prices. They pocket your money for profit and don't compromise at all or make any effort to retain your business. Beware!
In May 2023 I booked a tour via Viator in Bilbao. THEY cancelled at the last minute "because they didn't have enough people sign up." It was a hassle getting a refund. Then I had to cancel a tour in Bordeaux because I got food poisoning (diarrhea) and couldn't travel all day on a bus. I left voicemails, emails and text messages for BOTH Viator and the local tour company on the numbers provided on the DAY PRIOR to the tour explaining why I needed to cancel. I also spoke on the morning of event to the tour guide and explained. Viator charged my credit card and has refused to refund $171.90 for a tour that I was unable to take. When I provided them with copies of my documentation of TIME STAMPED text & email messages that I made every attempt to give them adequate notice on the DAY PRIOR as required, I received a terse boilerplate policy letter that I had not notified them. They are a terrible company -- suggest you avoid VIATOR like the plague.
Booked several tours for a European trip. All were cancelled within a day of it happening. Totally unreliable and did not refund our money. Nobody to deal with and if you reach someone totally unknowledgeable. Found out, the hard way there are much better and reliable choices out there and a lot less money. Travelers Beware!
Viator is a horrible company that does not fight for its clients when their contracted service provider (Discover) lies, scams and rips off their customers. Viator doesn't enforce quality, customer service nor a fair refund when services are not provided. Very disappointed! I plan to let as many people and sites know my utter dissatisfaction with this company.
Viator took our money up front and did not purchase tickets in time for the elevator ride to the summit (top floor) of the Eiffel Tower. On the day of the event, Discover guide (Viator's contracted third party company) attempted to buy the groups summit tickets. They were at capacity and the guide only purchased tickets for the second floor. She did not tell us until we were in the Eiffel Tower. She apologized and said the summit was down for maintenance and this happens all the time. LIE! I spoke with the elevator operator and he stated their haven't been any maintenance issues. It never shut down for maintenance. When we pried deeper on why she didn't tell us when she bought the tickets she had no answers for the group. She never gave us an opportunity to cancel or get a refund. Her only response was that she is the guide and only doing what she was told to do. She would not provide a phone number or point of contact for the group to complain or receive a refund. Also, the package included a 1.5 hour tour and we received 5 minutes only. She did not want to be around a group of 20 people that were ripped off knowing she and her company scammed us with no sign of remorse nor a plan for a refund.
My family of four spent $278 to ride an elevator to the summit of the Eiffel Tower. 2nd floor tickets are significantly cheaper at roughly $80 for our family. When I complained to Viator they refunded us $33. I explained how their math was wrong and requested another refund. This was declined. I will now call my credit card company to file fraud and will leave as many negative reviews as I can. This company will not cheat me or my family without repercussions.
Poor service they sell you tickets from a third company so you will never meet anyone at the site you are visiting or touring. The guide Silvia rushed people thru the tour and lasted only 30 minutes most of the times we were rushed from one hall to another also don't believe when they tell you front of the Line either at the entrance of the Louvre or at the Mona Lisa it does not exist. Buy your tickets directly at the location Viator gets their tickets from another company who gets it from another company who gets it from the location so 3 people tack on money for zero service they perform. I got no tickets for the Effe tower because the location to pick up the tickets changed 3 times. I bought 3 tickets from. Viator who charged me $160 Euros and when I didn't get the tickets I paid for I bought my own and paid $70.70 Euros to go to the Summit of the Effeil tower.
Answer: They are legitimate, but they partner with bad-faith service providers and will not take responsibility for those bad-faith service providers negligence.
Answer: Because they are merely a bank with an offshore call center. They sub all tours to local companies and give nothing in return. I agree, never book with them
Answer: Very easy but you'll never get any satisfaction They lie even while recording the conversation. REAL BAD COMPANY
Answer: DayTrip Tours is a most reliable company with reasonable prices. Check them out and read the reviews.
