There seems to be no way to contact them. Never been able to view a video, but the keep on charging monthly.
Pages inside your account will disappear. You will get error messages and never get to the pages you need to.
Support takes 100 years to respond to help requests. When they reply, they play games and pretend like they do not understand your issue. They have no ability to check or fix our account at their end when things break.
They will waist your time and destroy your business.
I hope they go out of business soon.
I upgraded, on Vimeo, to be able to share larger files, it was 100 $ a year, quite expensive. After just one month (without any notifications during that time) I got a mail about one of the uploads having a copyright. Before I saw that mail I uploaded it again by mistake (the first video had been removed, but I didn't understand at that time). So, 2 copyright strikes. If I had known I would have deleted it myself but I had no chance. Immediately afterwards another video was removed because of copyright - so they said. And my account deleted immediately after that. I appealed the decision to no avail. Their attitude was simply horrible. Robots and perhaps humans too - not sure. My appeals were in vain and they also refused to refund, although I had paid for one year 100 $ and the account was deleted after one month. So you see this is a scam, they take people's money and then remove the account for some so called violations. Worst experience ever. If they continue like this the platform will probably disappear.
I'm a senior citizen, I wanted to sign up for the monthly plan. They charged for a year, so $84 for me to record one video. There's no contact information, absolutely no one to help you.
They have a good product, but it's overshadowed by their very very bad customer support. I tried to speak with them to walk me through addressing an issue I was having with Vimeo, bit all they wanted to do is send emails back and forth. Never was able to speak with their technical support. Very bad experience. I ended up having to call someone from within our company to come and assist. Cost money and time.
Signed up to watch a funeral and 2 accounts created: ******* & *******, cancel both, charge 1 month.
I am a VIMEO premium member and have been for over 2 years now.
I have never had such poor service from a company ever.
I have had 3 major problems and never once have they addressed
My problems. This is the worst company ever, looking to leave them this week.
When you try to get help, you get this link with three options, none of which apply to anything.
Please allow me to explain. Adolf Hitler burned books to make sure that if anyone acquired any knowledge it could be used against him. In the Divided States of America we put people in digital prison or just delete material where a godder might protest. Vimeo and social media are following a very dangerous path of selective viewing. I produced a short film called "The Parting", a story about a couple where the husband has terminal cancer and chooses "Death with Dignity" on their own terms. Vimeo deleted it. Why? It's a fictitious story. No explanation, no objection, no notification, just deleted. Adolf Hitler knew what they were doing. So does Vimeo. https://vimeo.com/thesquirrelmaster If you have a complaint or an objection you cannot contact anyone. I cannot add photo's to this review because Vimeo has deleted my project.
I signed up for a free month in order to watch a live stream of my grandson's recital. I soon discovered that I would be charged $900 for a year subscription. I stupidly had given them a charge card number. I attempted for several days to cancel this subscription and I never got a confirmation that it was cancelled. I am still listed as a member with a charge to be made in a month of $900. Working with my bank to stop this charge.
I paid $200 for Vimeo... only to be restricted. I can only upload 2 videos a week... and if I want to upload more I have to upgrade to a $50 monthly subscription. I'm going back to YouTube. It's free and YouTube has the bandwidth to reach more followers. With Vimeo, you pray to be restricted. Don't waste your money.
My husband and I tried to view a school production for our grandchild on line during the early January COVID outbreak and we are elderly so we did not want to attend in person. It appeared that I had to sign in thru Vimeo so we subscribed for a 30 day trial which required a premium subscription to view on line. When I could not log on to the school production due to school technical difficulties, I tried to cancel my trial but the phone number on their web site was always busy. We immediately tried to cancel on the file site but it was confusing and was not clear as how to cancel and takes a computer scientist to possibly figure out how to get thru to request a cancellation. There is a phone number on the web site but it was always busy and never even gave us the ability to leave a voicemail message.
I got busy the following week and then forgot about it until I got a charge for $900 for a yearly subscription that I never used, and have no intention to use. The company's policy is that if you fail to cancel during the 30 day trial period you are stuck for a full year and that is what happened to me. We do not know if this business practice is illegal but is certainly unfair.
Worst customer response time possible -- they will get back to me WEEKS LATER to say they know there's been a long delay and they hope my questions have been answered. They don't even bother to answer the questions. In addition to this, they charge me almost twice as much as the site clearly indicates I should be paying -- and I can't reach them so there is no way to clarify. I could not trust Vimeo less. I would just look for another provider. I need to do the same.
I signed up and paid the yearly subscription (thinking they were credible). Less than a month in, their customer support emailed me saying my account is suspended for uploading content they deem as infringement. All right, I was uploading subtitled videos but accepted they have a right to reject content on their platform like YouTube. HOWEVER, they refused to refund me the remainder of my yearly subscription. Luckily, I paid with PayPal and submitted a claim which I got refunded the entire price. These mother******! Don't trust them. They also refuse you to retrieve the videos you uploaded during the subscription period you paid for.
You have taken down VOR after a week, now give back the money you took to provide a service.
Totally unacceptable behavior - a cowboy company.
I am a filmmaker who has been with Vimeo from the start. I had hundreds of films, mostly documentaries and professional commercial work. I spent decades in their community, averaging thousands of daily views, millions over a lifetime. While in Europe last week I got a message saying that my account was removed. Gone. Poof. Just like that, because of a historic cartoon from 1928 I had uploaded decades ago. I didn't even know it was there and now it was the reason I have no career.
Every film, gone. Every connection, gone. Work for the ADA and humanitarian aid overseas, gone. Stories of small businesses striving to exist, gone. I wasn't just being punished, but everyone was and Vimeo simply refused to even listen.
I'm writing to you as I'm sure it can affect your readers as it has done me, and frankly I don't know what I'm going to do. I cannot start over, my entire presence is gone. So am I. This is the end.
Here is the my final full story. Thank you for your time.

This company is controlled by really bad people that use immoral business practices throughout the entertainment industry. We shouldn't support a company like this.
I signed up for their 30 day trial and canceled well before deadline. They charged me anyways for $240 a day before the trial was to end. There is no way to communicate with them unless you are in their upper tier of subscriber and who knows if that is true?. And how can they get away with this discriminatory practice? I can't believe they are still aloud to run a scam operation.
Postscript: They did refund my money after I threatened to post reviews like this or it may have been my bank that hassled them, not sure which.
Your support is rude and unprofessional. You charge a ridiculous amount and do not offer better support or easy-to-find support. Your people are condescending and need to grow up. With so many options today, you are a small choice for hosting videos. You are one company I will be happy to be clear of, and we will be removing the other 4 Pro accounts we have as well. You should have treated our CEO with respect, but you didn't, and he has decided to cancel you. Maybe one of the worst companies for customer support I have dealt with in my 22 years in business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
It can be grow your followers here so quick with real people there, also easy and fast to get followers.
Vimeo advertises their Premium account with "unlimited live streaming".
Yet when my non-profit organisation does 2 livestream events, once a week for a maximum of 3 hours in total, we are considered in their 1% range and thus, we were given 2 choices - pay for a customised plan which cost USD 6,000 (7 times more what we are currently paying) or they deactivate our account.
They only brought this up after 16 months of using their service, when we are 4 months into a renewed 1 year subscription. Vimeo does not have a competitive edge with its competitors.
The customer service representative was not helpful in addressing our questions and issues. The attitude was terrible.
Answer: I'd check the fine print. Then I'd check again. Then I'd have a backup plan if you're gonna use Vimeo. In case you wake up one morning and you can't access any of your videos.
Answer: I heard that Vimeo is very anti-Semitic, they wanted to make a Jewish co-host lose his job at a pro-peace channel. It's just like another holocaust in my opinion... or even worse, the immigration crisis of Latin Americans going to the US.
