I sent a watch for a simple repair - to have the bracelet shortened (it was too big). While they did take a link out they did not adjust the clasp to maximum length so now the watch band is too small for my wrist. As well, the cost of shipping was very expensive. They could have at least buffed the watch a bit and cleaned it up externally just as a courtesy. I get better service on an oil change. Not very satisfied.
I got my estimate through email this morning and it is for a complete overhaul of my watch. I never requested a complete overhaul of the watch, i only requested that the crystal be replaced, and a new battery be installed. I indicated all of what i wanted repaired on the form i sent with the watch when i mailed it. I call your customer service number today to talk to a rather rude lady and i tried to explain to her that i only wanted the crystal replaced and a new battery installed. She told me that the company does not do partial repairs. I then told her that is very misleading because if the company does full overhauls of watches only, then what was the purpose of me filling out a form showing the specific services i wanted completed? She then repeated that the company will only do full repairs on watches and that " its just how it is!". She also mentioned that to many customers have complained in the past about how they requested specific services from the company, the customer gets their watch back in the mail and it still does not work because the customer did not pay for the right service to get the watch working.
She then told me that my watch was not currently in working condition even though i know for a fact it was working when i put it in the mail despite the crystal being cracked. I then became very angry and told the customer care rep that i wanted my watch shipped back to me. This is not what i want. What i truly want to happen is i only want the watch shipped back to me if the company is unable to only replace the crystal and install a new battery. I am only willing to pay for the services i requested on the form when i shipped the watch to the company. Please contact me to let me know if the company will be able to replace the crystal and battery only.
Thank you for the feedback Joshua on repair #325689. We are unable to provide a partial repair on your timepiece due to a damaged crystal and glass chards entering the movement. Thank you for your understanding.
Had our watch repaired #******* in June of 2021. The work that was promised was not completely and 1 year later in June of 2022 the watch began to leak and lose time. Sending it to Breitling USA Inc.
Thank you for the review Gayton. I have searched our records and we do not have any records of a "Gayton" ever sending a watch in for repairs. Please reach out to our customer service department at 847-485-7474 with your 6 digit repair number for assistance.

Had my Oris watch repaired for a ridiculous amount of money and an unreasonable amount of time only to find CONDENSATION under the crystal a few months later. Watch was obviously not sealed properly nor pressure tested before being returned. Contacted them immediately and they sent return label. ONLY to hear from them that the watch is the result of my leaving the crown open and that water seeped in! (Have had this watch many years and i would never do that!) Then they had the nerve to tell me it isn't covered by their one year repair and it would now cost me an ADDITIONAL exorbitant amount of money. Plus another $159 to have it cleaned and polished a second time! Or I'd have to pay to have it returned to me and skip the repair! REALLY? Paid again, and again, this took forever even after I was assured it was a HIGH PRIORITY repair! Now have the watch back and the original crystal had a magnifying lens over the date which the replacement does NOT! Would definitely NOT recommend this business! NOTICE THEY ARE NOT BBB recommended either! NOW YOU KNOW WHY!

After asking them to send my watch back (see previous review for the issues I had) I received it today. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they went ahead and replaced the battery then reset and calibrated the chronographic functions. My watch is working perfectly! AND... they did this at NO CHARGE AND WITHOUT ME EVEN ASKING.
Based on this latest turn of events, I really must revise my initial rating. Call it 4-1/2. I would have given them a well earned 5 stars except for the initial round of confusion.
But still, I have to say that it speaks very well of Watch Repairs USA to have taken the high road on this. I plan to send them payment for the services they performed (again, they sent me a $0 invoice!) and, based on what they did for me, would try them again. Perhaps my issues were a simple glitch... okay by me. Happy to move past this.
Thank you for the feedback and review Mike P. We appreciate your business and enjoyed working on your repair.
Sent my Chase Durer Fighter Command watch in. They had it about a month then sent me an email telling me that they had to replace the battery and "tune" the movement...$100. BUT - they clearly stated that they didn't know if the new battery would solve the problem - which it almost certainly will not as the watch was not working correctly before the battery died. I called and asked them to put a battery in the watch to see if it would work... any old used battery that was still good... THEN give me a real quote to repair it. They refused. Obviously they want me $100 in to force me to accept an expensive repair. So, I am having the watch returned ($20 just to do that!). What a scam. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
They are big time crook, I ask them to change my watch band and Send me a extra band AND THEY CHARGED ME $377.00 MORE THAN BUYING MY WATCH.
I RECOMMENDED BECAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY, BECAUSE THEY CROOK

Dear Ann or Sandy,
I sent a pocket watch that winds up with a key to you for an estimate for repair. The estimate was over $600 and the watch is not worth more than $200 so I declined the repairs. The watch was sent back to me without the key. Here is a picture I took before I shipped the watch and key to you and my wife can verify that both were shipped to you. I put the key in a zip lock baggie. I was told you never received the key or it was not listed as being received but I know I sent it with the watch; how would you know if the watch worked if you couldn't wind it up with the key? You said you would find me my key or get me a key because the watch is no good at all without the key. I first contacted you on 5/13/2021. Please resolve this matter quickly; I need my key.
Your receipt for repair #*******
Thanks,
Mike Oliver
Tom from Watch Repairs USA called me and said I did not send them a key even though my wife can verify that I sent the key with the pocket watch. He told me to buy another key somewhere.
Thanks Tom
Customer was mailed a replacement key as a courtesy.
I sent my watch in for repair and paid $19 to have it shipped back. The item was never delivered to my house. When I contacted their customer service, they informed me that I needed to pay and additional $19 to have them again attempt to send my property back to me. Since I already paid $19 for them to ship my property back, I should not have to pay again. I continued to discuss with customer service, and they will not send me back my property. They are thieves! I highly recommend staying away from them!
Thanks for the feedback Jason. I have reviewed an UPS attempted delivery to the address you provided us on 3 separate occasions and left notes to arrange pick up of your timepiece. We have given you the option of providing a prepaid shipping label or paying for the return shipping.
They did to me what all the others report. Quoted a reasonable price "but could not guarantee that since we have not seen it". Sent in watch with required return postage, much higher $ return deposit was required than they actually spent on mailing it back.
When it arrived, they told me it didn't just need a new battery and a new seal to make it waterproof (diving watch, 600m rated) but was completely broken, couldn't be fixed for less than buying a new watch. I ended up taking the watch to a local business, they replaced battery and seal, this watch still runs fine.
The watch came back with no work done, shipped cheapest, uninsured package rate, these guys spent about $25 less than the large return fee deposit they had required. Their mailing label was stuck on over mine, my tape and bubble wrap were undisturbed inside that box.
THEY NEVER EVEN OPENED THE PACKAGE.
Thank you for the feedback Robert. Please provide me with your repair number and I will look into this for you as there are a number of inaccuracies in your comments above.
Please note that we are unable to provide a quote until the watch has been assessed by one of our technicians.
We provide our customers with prepaid inbound shipping labels.
We do not quote return shipping when you sign up to have your watch in.
We use NEW shipping boxes, new bubble wrap and new tape with every order.

Horrible experience with this place. They messed up the alignment on a subdial hand on my Fortis Cosmonauts Chronograph, so I sent it in for warranty repair and asked them to examine the crown, which was wobbly when it came back from them the first time.
After four months of waiting and ignoring requests for status updates, they shipped the watch back. First there were tons of greasy smudges UNDER the crystal- so much so that legibility was actually reduced. Second they replaced the original Fortis crown with a plated brass piece of garbage, and appeared to have drilled out and replaced the crown tube as well.
My instructions SPECIFICALLY said "I want to keep the original crown. If there is no way to fix this that doesn't mean getting a new crown, I'd rather keep the original.". They completely ignored my request and have now significantly reduced the value of the watch. Vintage Fortis crowns are nearly impossible to source.
After requesting information on whether or not the crown tube was actually drilled and replaced, I was told I would receive no further information and that any further emails would be ignored.
Avoid these swindlers at all cost.
Thank you for the feedback Evan. We provided you with the requested information on repair #311538. Please note that our technicians do not provide a parts list of every piece in the watch.
I would like to say a few things about my experience with Watch Repairs USA. I originally sent my watch in for repairs last August. The chronograph second hand and minute counter sub dial were not resetting properly. After evaluation I was sent an estimate for "Reset and repair chronograph functions" for which I made a payment of $374.83 which included shipping. I received the watch near the end of September and the minute counter sub dial still would not reset properly. I returned the watch for warranty repair. Several weeks later I was told the repair would not be covered under warranty and received a repair estimate for $200.00. I inquired why it would not be covered and after several emails and phone calls over the next two weeks I received another repair estimate for #324.79 saying my watch needed a complete overhaul. At that point I felt like I was being scammed and my watch was being held hostage as none of my questions concerning the warranty issue had been answered and was merely told via email that there would be no coverage. So I made the payment for $324.79 on November 20th and prayed I would get my watch back in a timely fashion and in good working order. I received the watch this week and the paperwork stated the repairs had been completed as "warranty repair completed at no charge. Sorry for the inconvenience." This was like adding insult to injury as I had, indeed, paid for the initial repair as well as the subsequent repair for a total of $699.62.
Review: Terrible customer service, 6 month turnaround time and no warranty coverage.
3/11/2021 I am sorry to hear about your experience John. Please provide me with your repair ticket # and and I will look into this further for you and respond back.

I sent a watch for repair which they received 12/11/2020. The estimated turn round time was 5-10 business days. By late December to early January I had no update save for trying to source parts. I asked two or three people to ask the technician what was wrong with the watch to which I was told we can't speak to the techs. Huh? How about sending them an email so one person said she would as did I but i got no response. I think the customer has a right to know what is wrong with the product to be fixed. I could never get a reply so I said just send it back. Interestingly the very next day the message was "parts not available." Well I took it to another watch repair store and got a reply in 2 days and they have the part in stock which is a special battery component for kinetic watches. Hmmm. I sent my watch to Watch Repairs USA from a UPS store using their boxing and paid $17.76 as the shop is in the same town as I live in and it was received in one day. Watch repairs USA sent it back UPS two day for $41.77. This was my experience with Watch Repairs USA. Never again. They have an "F" rating per the BBB BTW.
I see that Tom from watch repairs has a slew of positive reviews now. My how interesting. :). However at the time I posted the review here the BBB rating was indeed "F". This was 2 mos. Ago. Now the rating is B- actually thanks to those miraculous reviews. :). If their rating was "B" then why wait until 3/11/21 to mention this. I think I know why. In any case this does not change anything about my experience. Nice try Tom. Like I said before I was born in the morning but not this morning.
3/11/2021 Thank you for the review Lawrence. Please provide me with your ticket repair number and I will look into this further. When checking BBB, please be sure you are reviewing the correct company as we have a B rating.

This is in relation to my watch Repair #******* of about a year ago. Like most of the poor reviews that you will find here, the lesson learned, is to always read the reviews of any and all Companies, products or repairs that you must send away for. My Burberry was a keepsake given to me as a gift. Most of the time it sat in a dresser, as I only wore it on special occasions. When it started to lose time, I tried a local vendor who told me he didn't have the specialized tools to even get it opened. I sent it to Watch Repair USA figuring it would only require a battery replacement. However, as you will find, that once they have your watch in their possession, you are at their mercy. They reported back that it required a full overhaul at a cost close to the price probably paid for the very watch. I'm sure they are much aware that most watches sent to them are valued keepsakes. After committing to $180, I waited and waited. It was about four or five months later that the watch came back. In a years time, I probably haven't worn the watch but a dozen times. In the eighth month from repair, I noticed it began to lose time. Now in the eleventh month it is totally worthless. I could have bought a new one for around $250. And oh yes, I think it is still under their years warranty. But I would need my head examined to dare sent it back in to Watch Repair USA. In hindsight, who really needs a watch to tell time. We all carry cell phones. So, I will just wear this poorly repaired watch for it's style and sentimental value. BUYER BEWARE!
Thank you for the feedback William. Our records show you signed up for our services on 12/3/19 and and we received your watch on 12/11/19. The repairs in the amount of $159.97 were paid on 12/19/19 with an approximate repair time of 4-8 weeks. Your watch was shipped back to you 7 weeks later on 2/7/20.
We have received no communication from you via phone or email that your watch was not working properly. I have emailed you a prepaid shipping label under repair #313312 to have your watch sent in to be repaired under warranty.
I have spent more than the cost of the watch. Each repair last roughly a year and then it's over 300$ to fix again. This last time the back of the watch just fell off as all the screws came out. Sent it back Several months later they want over 300$ again. Just paid to have shipped back. Will buy a new one, should have done that in the first place. Obviously the expertise is not there... I mean really? All the screws come off the back and it falls apart shortly after a 300$ repair. Go elsewhere folks.
Thank you for leaving a review. We take feedback very seriously; however, I’m afraid we can find no record any customers matching your name or details. Sent my Rado to have the band repaired as my links are made of ceramic and were broken, i paid to replace the links and what they did was remove the broken links, of course now the watch doesn't fit me. I filed a complaint with their customer service and was told that they wouldn't return my broken links due to company policy. They basically stole my links that are worth $80 a piece. Thieves.
Anguel, please provide me with your 6 digit ticket repair number so that I can investigate this further.

Sent my watch to them and they had for over 3 months, the digital and analog portions of the watch would not match off be hours. They sent me a bill for what it would take to fix the watch. I sent them the money and when I finally got it back nothing was fixed. The 2 movements are still off and I can not get them to match up. This was a total waste of money. My advise to all looking to have them fix your time piece
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND JUST BUY A NEW WATCH.

4/8/2021 Customer has provided repair #30318. The repair was paid for on 7/22/20 and was returned back to the customer on 9/25/2021. We performed the following work:
Basic quartz servicing - Replace battery, re-oil movement as needed, check parallelism of hands and dial, calibrate movement, check timing and ultrasonically clean exterior of watch.
Sent my guess watch for battery and repair 2/28/2020. Repair status remains unchanged as of today 8/3/2020. One or 2 e-mails from them about 4 months ago claiming Covid-19 as the reason. Since then, no return e-mails, no status updates, no watch. They have my Money and MY Watch. I call that THEFT. What do you call it? 0 stars If I could.

I could live with the overhaul and repair price of $200 but don't hit me on the head for $30 for batteries and another $30 for a $. 50 gasket which should be included in an overhaul!
The return shipping cost is calculated based on the amount you selected to have your watch insured when you initiated the repair. If you have a cheaper shipping option, we are more than happy to remove the shipping cost if you provide us with a prepaid UPS, USPS or FedEx shipping label.
I should have known. Free shipping and then they want $400 and took a month to return the watch which cost $17 and is now non functional because they broke off the adjustment knob. What can you do with people like this.
They have ruined my Movado watch which originally cost $1000.

Brian P, please provide me with your 6 digit ticket repair number and I will look into this further. We provided you with a complimentary prepaid shipping label and estimate. The shipping costs are based on the amount you wanted to have the watch insured for at the time of signing up.

My experience is exactly like everyone else's -- lured in by a professional looking website. Paid in advance enormous amount for watch to be repaired. Then, no communication for months. After I reached out asking for updates, I was multiply mislead with inconsistent stories about the status of repairs. Weeks and weeks go by. Emails and calls are unanswered or ignored. I have recently filed complaints with the BBB and the NY AG office, and disputed the charge with my credit card. This is -- at best -- the worst and rudest company I have ever had the displeasure of patronizing, and more likely, an outright scam organization.
Jack P, please provide me with your 6 digit ticket repair number. Our customer service team is available via phone from 8am-4pm CST Monday through Friday and via email at customercare@watchrepairsusa.com. All emails are responded to within 48 hours.

Answer: They are a real company, just a horrible and unethical one
Answer: Watch Repairs USA is responsible to actually repair the watch and send it back. As of today Watch Repair USA has my money AND my Watch. It was sent on February 27,2020. Today is August 3rd 2020. I filled everything out correctly and got the first e-mail saying my watch and order was received. The 'STATUS'has remained unchanged for 4+ months as çheck back or we will send you an e-mail for the update. SO far NOTHING and no reply from the company to my e-mail inquiries. SO can't blame the customer for this. Sounds like THEFT to me!
Thank you for the feedback and review Seth. Please contact our customer service department at customercare@watchrepairsusa.com or contact us via phone at 847-458-7474 and include your 6 digit repair number and we will follow up with you.
Our shipping is based on the insurance value that you selected at the time of requesting the repairs to your timepiece. We provided you with a complimentary prepaid shipping label to have your watch sent in.
