It took me about an hour to design my flush mount album. The process was fairly easy; I just uploaded all of my pictures and used the autofill option to fill in the photo book. I then played around with the different layouts, backgrounds, and stickers-it was kind of like scrapbooking online. I liked how they offer the option of spreading a picture over two pages since my album was for my Banff trip which included some panoramas I took. That option is perfect for travellers that like to take scenic/panoramic photos like me. It was a fast and easy process. I would definitely order from them again.
Never order from this company because if anything is wrong with the product they don't care and will not fix it unless it is within their terms and conditions.' After reading reviews it's seems I'm not the only one who has had a terrible customer service' experience with them.
I used this company when they were artisan state and was really happy with my product but I have now just received my album of 150 photos and the images are such poor quality. Turning my beautiful images into something distasteful.
This is supposed to be a birthday present for my father-in-law. The images have been printed as such a low quality that a lot of the detail has been lost. This was a 8x8 photo book too, so not even that big. I could maybe understand if it was really big and my images weren't very high res but these were high res professional photos that shouldn't lose any detail. Even the colour is dull.
I will still give the book as I have no other gift to give and he doesn't care about such things and some of the smaller pictures are fine but I had hoped to get a wedding album done through here but have since changed my mind.
I guess that with the change in name, the company has not only changed how they do things but who does them too. Obviously interested in making a quick buck and shirking responsibility by the sound of the other reviews.
I spent 3 days setting up the 55 page album using over 200 pics from my daughter's wedding. Easier to use available page layouts, but I wanted to do them myself. After all the time spent, I thought I should look at the reviews and my heart sank! I read about poor service, bad picture quality and colors that were off. I checked other sites and found that nobody else offered the 2-page spread of a single picture that I wanted, and the prices of the others were outrageous! After several more days of consideration I finally hit the 'order' button and continued to worry about my choice. The next day I received an email saying that my order had shipped - not sure that was a good sign. Four days after that I had a box on my front porch. I couldn't bring myself to even open the box until the next day - and when I did, I couldn't have been more delighted! The quality of the photos (even ones not taken by the photographer) was excellent (not just good). The colors were right on and the album is BEAUTIFUL! I'm not sure if I was just a lucky one, but I would definitely order from them again.
The ZNO little black book was a total treasure for just $5 shipping! It came in a week's time and was beautiful quality. I was worried from all the bad reviews but I thought hey, no big deal it was only a couple dollars if it's crap. It was easily the best $5 investment ever. My book is solid and gorgeous. I'll be ordering full price from them for future photo books!
I have ordered a wedding album with them recently and the colors were off (I understand how difficult it must be to print every order perfect without ICC profiles) but also, the gilding was coming off and was all over the album (like a black shredded material) and my hands. Can you imagine if I had shipped that to a customer instead of my studio? After contacting them by email and waiting for a week for a response (they say 48hr, what a joke) I have called them repeatedly and after 4 days and 3 messages the lady on the phone (they finally called me back) told me that they had been busy and once I have contacted them by email they cannot do anything by phone anymore, that I have to wait for the ticket to be answered and resolved online. If you are a professional photographer, or even if you are not, imagine having to keep pushing the deadline for the delivery of your client's album to... a date you are not even sure. After a few days they sent me a replacement album (same problem with the colors and the gilding looked horrible) so I just re-order the album from Zookbinders (lost money, but the quality was just so much better and my customer was amazed). I wouldn't trust them again with a album that will (hopefully) stay in someone's family for generations. It's just not right.
I hire a photographer to do a high quality portfolio of my paintings. This book look like a joke! The images look awful, cheap, with no definition, dark. I lost $230 now I have a gigantic crap! I cant gift this book even to my mom. Also arrived late! DONT waist your money! These people are thieves!
I have used them for many albums but now I am finding out that the pages are separating (they are glued to the sub strait). How embarrassing :(
I am a professional photographer and I offer my clients the ZNO books. I am extremely happy with their products. They are good value for the money. From my past experience with them, I extremely recommend you to consider the following;
You will never get a customer service from them and you can't speak to anyone over the phone in spite of having a support contact number- it always goes to the answer message.
Always downloard a colour profile from the site and use them as soft proof while editing and it does a lot of difference.
I have always noticed their final print is a bit dark, so you need tweak a bit of brightness before you save as a jpeg for a proper result.
I will not recommend this for high end wedding, but they worth every penny for anything other than weddings.
I have no issues with their products which I have received from them for years now. The only down side is the CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I have used this company many times, even when they used to be called Artisan State, Never had a problem until I needed service. Client received the album damaged, looks like it was damaged in transit. Have emailed several times with each email sounding more and more desperate. No response at all - none! This company is a joke and costing me my reputation - DO NOT USE THEM!
I paid $209 for bad quality book. Being a professional photographer I decided to make a photobook of my best pictures. All my pictures were retouched and color corrected. When I got my album, I was very upset. It can not be used for presentation. The paper quality is not good. The cover is better. Big disappointment.
I have been a client of this company for over two years and have been very happy with the album quality. The customer service is slow, and only online, plus it takes two weeks to get your album, but with the prices so low it was worth it.
Now, however I have been round and round on an order for over two months and they are trying to blame my digital files (even though part of the order was printed correctly from the same files) and refuse to expedite reprinting the order. What do I tell my client? I am going to send the order to Millers and redesign the album and just lose the money. Its better than losing my reputation. Also, I had bought credit for future orders and they refuse to refund my money on that. Ridiculous! STAY AWAY- trust me, you will thank me later!
I received my little black book it was beautifully done. I will order from Zno again. I love the color quality
This is a front for a Chinese company named SHANGHAI SHUTTER TECHNOLOGY LIMITED.
DON'T NOT ORDER FROM THEM. Try to call them first and you will see that there is absolutely no customer service. They take no responsibility for their actions and it is a gamble if you will even get your product. Their about us page is a complete lie. Not to be trusted. They are changing American prices for a Chinese product that cost them significantly lower than market rates to produce.
BUY AMERICAN!
Better off ordering photo books from Walmart! Seriously, the quality would be better and so would the price! I ordered 3 photo books at 35% off and still paid $134... they look horrible! The print quality looks like they printed at low resolution. Dull, colorless, cheap! I was planning on giving two of the books away as gifts, but I'm too embarrassed. No returns, no money back, nothing! BEWARE! Their response was I should have chose a different product! Please go to the Federal Trade commission and file a complaint! Stop these scammers!
Warning: they are irresponsible people I have a lost order of two months and nobody communicates with me I do not recommend anyone Order #: *******

HORRIBLE / NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I can't speak to the quality of their products, because it was never received! The package was either lost or did not move from USPS facility. After letting ZNO know, they told me to contact USPS and offered no help. I did contact USPS, with no luck. As a retailer, it is the seller's responsibility that the package arrives to the buyer. Despite many calls/emails to ZNO and their slow response rate, they refused to help, re-issue the product, or refund me. I'm not sure how this company is even still in business. By far the worst retailer experience I've had. If you're on the fence about using ZNO, save yourself the headache and STAY AWAY!
Have dealt with them for 3 weeks. They are terrible. All they do is delay any response to resolution. They claim they need more photos as they cant see the problems in the ones I sent. As you can see one is smudged other was dented. Either they didn, t look at them or they lie
Ordered four 20x30 metal prints. Came with a dent in three of them. Other ink smudged. Followed all instructions to report problems and received emails giving me excuses why they couldn't process my problem. Asked my wife if I should reorder and she said to flush the three hundred dollars down the toilet instead.
I initially signed up several years ago (they had a different name then... can't remember) for a little black book. Loved it, ordered several more over the next few months. Always great.
I decided to get a large canvas printed and loved it. I've since done 3 large canvases all with the same quick shipping and high quality.
I did have to deal with customer service once as I was having trouble creating one of the books, that experience was positive and they helped me get it sorted.
I've seen bad reviews for this book so didn't want to order one until so seen it for free. Figured I'd try it out, can't beat free Right? Anyways, I ordered one and had I known the quality would be so good I would have picked better photos. My only wish for this is that you could write things under the photos. I'm not sure that you can't, but I don't remmeber seeing an option when so was ordering it. Maybe I didn't look close enough. Other than that, I love the book. It's so worth it can't wait to try the canvas!
Answer: My pictures were shipped from Shangai so I'm assuming China.
