Placed an order at 3:00 this afternoon and it is now 8:40pm and I still do not have the software I ordered and the payment is still 'under review'. How any company chooses to use this payment gateway is anyone's guess. They must be super cheap. I will never buy from any business using Avangate again.

I've been over 5 years with this company with turnover of $120.000 pa with no chargebacks and they just un-verified me, therefore I cannot have my money although they will still accept transactions. Their excuse was not friendly or anything to do with me being a loyal customer, simply they suggested I read their terms and conditions to see that they have the right to do so.
I informed them that they have effectively put me out of business overnight but still got no reason for their action. Needless to say I will find another provider.

This is how we have been robbed by 2Checkout in the pretext of global payment:

Transaction ID: **************
Payment done by customer in INR: *******/-
Payment converted in USD: 1150. 65/- (Payment is less, as very high conversion rate is applied which 2CheckOut says this includes hedge charges, third party fees etc. which was never communicated nor disclosed, they write 5.5% + 45c only, it was expected to received approx $1234 USD based on FX conversion INR 61.15 / USD, but charged INR 65/USD)

Reserve Held: 57.54 USD
2CO Fees: 63.74 USD
Adjust: 15.00 USD (At the time of wire transfer, this money was deducted)
Final Payment: 1014. 37 USD

Total Charged: 17.79 % vs of 5.5% + 45c

Do you really think, merchant like us will survive our business paying through 2Checkout?

When contacted customer care: All vague replies and never got the answer. Ticket raised:

4704-WTFN-4113
9005-WAHN-5941

PS: Those who are outside US and want to transact with 2Checkout, think twice before dealing with fraudsters!

This company must be a financial front for several scamming software companies based out of Asia. Upon purchasing software from a website, I was charged via Avangate. Despite being more than eager to take my money, they acted like they had nothing to do with the transaction when the software company didn't provide the product as advertised. I'd give this company negative stars if at all possible.

I am falling short of adjectives to praise Avangate. As the owner of a small software company, I have been struggling to get hold of new customers. Thankfully, I found “Avangate Standard”, a tool designed for businessmen like me. The program allows us to personalize the features as per our requirements. My company can now quickly access payments, indulge in a range of advanced merchandising, and support the customers appropriately with the help of this excellent software. Well, as your company grows, if you need a better solution you can always opt for “SkyCommerce Suite”. I have heard from my friends that it is perfect for larger establishments.

DO NOT use 2checkout.com (2CO) or you put your business at RISK. They can shut you down without any warning! My account had few chargebacks last month and my trust built up with 2checkout over 4 years is complete GONE. All my subscriptions are GONE. DO NOT trust 2checkout.com, you will be regret!

2checkout is one of the worst payment processing companies. They NEVER care about their customers. Once they suspect your site e.g. you have more than one websites, or your website went down for more than few hours if you have server issues or anything, they will immediately suspend your account. Then you try to call them time after time, explain over and over again, send them numerous emails, they just IGNORE you after all. Avoid this company/website if you want to run a stable ecommerce website. My website is still down after a week now and they NEVER responded me. Check out other payment gateways such as paypal (not very nice either), ccbill, google checkout, gtbill, gspay, and MANY more. Just beware of 2checkout.

After 6 months of battling with a seller (sent me a damaged part, I sent it back at my expense, they wouldn't give me a refund and never sent a replacement as they said they would). I am now out the money (only about $100 but its the principle) and the seller has all but stopped replying to my emails. I decided to ask 2checkout for help. They were very unhelpful and said it was not their job as a payment processing agent and I should try dealing with the seller directly (hah after 6 months of getting screwed around by them).

Bottom line, 2checkout has no accountability, stick with sellers that use Paypal.

Thew allow certain venders to cheat consumers. They try to have knowledge of products, however not enough to make a decision on if the product is any good or not. Never again.
