Poor Service

2Checkout has difficult payout details that are painful to work with. For example they require that you save payout details for EURO, USD, POUND.

There is a problem with this approach:
For examlle, if you have less than $100 in say, USD, you will not be paid the USD until you exceed $100. This applies to all the other currencies.

Here is the issue, if you have $99, £99, £99 worth of sales, you practically have $0, €0, £0. You cannot withdraw any of the amounts. If you exceed the USD for examlple to $105, you will with draw the USD only. The € and £ will remain out of your reach.

Remember that you will not receive the full $105 because they will charge exhorbitant fees on the poor amount you have worked for.

Additionally is you decide to close the account, you will wait 180 days (6 months) to receive the remainder of your revenue which chargea applied.

2Checkout is not a good online payments processor for innovative and serious online business because they have difficult payout plans and extra high charges.

I do not recommend them. I have used them and ran away empty handed at that.

I strongly dicourage 2Checkout

I requested for a refund and based on the e-mail, after 5 business days of no response from their client whom I purchased the product from, they will start the refund process. I waited 5 business days and called them to get an update. They claimed that 5 business days have not occurred yet. They couldn't tell me when the 5th business would occur. Asked for a supervisor and the male rep rudely said it was just him. Their practices are shady and they should be banned as the institution that process payments for a company.

Worst experience yet

I've dealt with several payment processing sites, but this one is the by far worst.
Not only was activating the account ridiculously laborious, but canceling it is even worse.
I would advise anyone considering this site to stay away. Far away.
The only good thing was that setting up an account was such a pain, that I gave up before they had a chance to process a single payment.
Given the other reviews (a. K. a. Horror stories) I read, I think dodged a major bullet on this one.
BTW, I have since set up a Stripe account.
Not only was it surprisingly easy (easier than Paypal) but it works just fine.
Also (I give them the choice), 80% of my clients choose Stripe over PayPal.

Please, Please, Please DO NOT PUT 2CHECKOUT ON YOUR WEBSITE! They will keep holding on to your funds forever as a deposit. I don't know the fools that invested in this company, but I am sure their book balance is people's money and not theirs. They are not a legitimate company, you will not get money back from them. If someone asks for a chargeback, it takes from one year, I mean ONE YEAR to release the fund. They are like a FIXED DEPOSIT for your money. They will RUN DOWN your business. RUN from these people. They are FRAUDS! I finally got another payment gateway. Use Stripe and you will not regret it.

Please note that deposit rates are set in proportion to the level of risk of each merchant. While risk can never be entirely eliminated, it can be managed. Merchants who take an active role in preventing fraudulent claims often receive a lower deposit rate as a result.

Managing risk can be inherently more difficult in some industries. For example, intangible goods are much riskier than tangible goods from a fraud perspective, simply due to their nature. It is much easier to prove that a tangible good was shipped to a customer than to prove that a service was provided or an intangible good was delivered. This is why merchants who provide intangible goods receive more fraudulent claims.

The deposits retained are released after 90 days from the date they were retained and are included in the payout amount. However, the payout is only released if the minimum transfer limit set on the account has been reached. Their risk team will put your account on restricted mode on Estimated pay day and your hard earned money will be under 2Checkout's -> Avangate's -> Verifone's possession for weeks if not months. Stay away from them. You might not realize how tricky their business policy is while doing payment processing with them for smaller transactions. But when it will be a substantial amount, you will see their real face. Recommendation: Stay ******* miles away from them.

2Checkout are the folks that actually take your money when you buy something from StellarInfo. My experience with StellarInfo has been terrible.

I had a corrupted photo that meant something to me, and StellarInfo claimed to be able to recover photos like mine with a ". CR2" extension. The catch was, there was no way to try it without buying it. They offered a money-back guarantee, so I went ahead and paid the $29.99.

Within minutes I had tried it, and it didn't work. (FYI I'm an electrical engineer who used to design PCs; the problem was not "operator error".) Immediately I requested a refund. The response basically said if I really, really wanted a refund, they would give me one. I replied that yes, I did want a refund.

That all happened on January 15. It is now January 31, and I have received no refund. I have initiated a dispute on PayPal and don't know how it will end. 2Checkout certainly has not willingly agreed to refund my money.

I tried to update my URL and my Bank they refused. They say I need a proof of sales first. But the first online business I started was a test for one month and I closed it so no sales but now I am serious about my new online store and I went to university and graduated in digital marketing to succeed in business. I can't understand why is it so hard to update my URL and my Bank! I can't trust them with my money any more... I should be the one who decides where to transfer my money. Isn't this true?
So be careful to work with these guys.

2Checkout is a horrible company. One will think Verifone buying them over will bring improvement but they got worse. These clowns closed my merchant account without explanation holding on to my sales proceed worth over $6,700 USD for 7 months running now. For good 7 months there was no chargeback, dispute or refund on my account making me wonder why my account was shut down in the first place and my hard earned money stolen from me.

Their policy states that once 6 months is gone by, they would pay me. But it's 7 months and counting and I've been sending countless emails to these clowns and I am yet to be paid. So I am calling out the entire team of 2Checkout, stop this fraudulent and shady acts. You owe me. I demand you pay me now so I can be done with you guys for good.

I don't appreciate the back and forth. My money is the only thin thread that connects you and me for now. Once you pay me up, you all can go to hell for all I care. And for anybody reading this, if you don't want your money stolen from you and want your business to run smoothly, run away from 2Checkout. Run far. Run fast!

Rude and unhelpful - Save yourself the trouble
Rude and unhelpful. They kept asking for more and more documents (always waiting at least 2 days before responding, losing me 2 weeks). In the end, without any reason, they just posted a standard copy-paste message and deleted my account.

Another provider had no such problems and i was trading in less than a week.

STAY AWAY FROM 2CHECKOUT!

Worst service ever

This company couldn't care less about its customers. IF you manage to open an account with them (this took me over 2 weeks during which I had to resubmit all the documents numerous times before they even acknowledged them), they will simply ignore your messages and withhold your money. If I could, I would give them a minus rating

I had my doubts about opening an account on 2checkout reading so many user complaints, but I gave my vote of confidence and opened the account a few months ago. I had a lucky with my business, I made my first sales, a little over $ 1000usd, enough to pay some debts. But today they had to send me my money and I find that my account was restricted, they do not tell me the reason, they do not tell me that I have to send to normalize my account and the support does not respond to me... If someone from the 2CO team reads this and can solve the problem, my merchant code its **************

Horrible
September 29, 2020

Support became useless since they disconnected the phones. They processed a fraudulent transaction (somebody used a stolen CC) and did not give us a warning that they had red flags, eventually due to the chargeback we lost almost $600 on that transaction. Decided to quit them but after 3 months of trying, they still give us a runaround. The account is not closed and they hold to the balance (very small, $24) that they should send us once it is closed. Getting all kinds of bogus explanations from them with no final resolution.

Was to be issued a refund on a product, the company was using 2checkout.com, instead of issuing a refund for the amount, was charged a 2nd time for the product.
Don't trust this company. Now have to fight with the company I purchase the product from but also my credit card company to get not only the 1 charge back as a refund but also the 2nd charge.
What a rip off...

Not for Merchants

I do not suggest 2checkout to merchants, they refund orders without merchant notifications and customer disputes. Pannel is too difficult to understand. I have been using 2checkout since 2015, in the last 15 days, two orders refunded without my notification and customer disputes. Worst payment gateway, we work too hard for sales and after providing services to customers, they refund the amount.

They closed my account suddenly out of nowhere with absolute ZERO explanation why.

I wrote them dozens of emails by now with ZERO repsonse.

I called their "customer support" they said "we don't assist merchants via call". Please, write an email.
And I have thousands of dollars in my account.
They froze it the day that the payout day.
They couldn't wait for the money to go to my bank and suddenly close the account.

SCAMMERS.
SOMEONE PLEASE REPORT THIS COMPANY TO BE INVESTIGATED.

I used them because Stripe and PayPal don't work in my country.
If anyone can recommend another processor, please reply to this.

VERY BAD, NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT, THEY WILL KEEP YOUR MONEY AND BLOCK YOUR ACCOUNT. I don't know why google suggest this company on even top 100 card payment. This company took several week to approve my documents and approve starting account. Once I did, I accepted a payment from a customer. However, they put my account on review post payment was waiting for payout... then they took WEEKS and WEEKS... I WROTE EMAIL AFTER EMAIL... Not a single person replied or solved problem. Which company on earth don't have humans to reply for emails or customers requests? Very bad coz they will hold your money and no one would response. DONT USE THIS. They finally blocked my account without any justification. This is not just for me... read other reviews on many websites too.

Do not use this site using your credit card. I have used a merchant site backed by 2Checkout.com site that I was not aware the merchant was Pakistan and backed by this site using my credit card. After three months of placing a fraud complaint on the site and the merchant, the 2checkout.com closed the complaint by providing a made-up Pakistani Post Office tracking number and closed my formal complaint. Do not make the mistake that I made this is an international fraud transactions that I was told happens, where the 2checkout.com and the merchant make money jointly.
Do not use this site or their associates. Not only you will loose your money, but also exposing your credit card number and personal information at risk. DO NOT USE 2CHECKOUT.com for your credit card purchases or transactions. They have a very low rating.

Only because 0 stars is not possible. As an American company in USVI, I wasn't allowed other options that 2Checkout.

It took over 2 months to get our website approved. We missed Christmas season.

If you try to reconcile accounts, know that they will never match because 2Checkout reserves a rollover retainer and doesn't have proper reporting to match sales versus actual money received. A nightmare for our accounting department.

Only use if you have 5 articles to sell, they will block you if you add items without their approval. Go ahead and hold your breath for that approval process.

Lead time for response is 5-7 days. And try calling the "US" number versus International number - both are in Romania. Time difference will make it hard to speak to a manager.

I've been talked to like a criminal for references on my website that are not copyright infringement and linking an article in a newspaper reporting our company's private public partnerships in the community.

My account has been frozen throughout the pandemic, spoke to James """" senior sales manager Always promising to get back to me, and here I am in the new age, doors closed and no web sales to made.

If 2Checkout is your only option, switch web companies. Ask from the start. Do not trust a company that has no real offices, no American based customer service, and cannot be held accountable.
