Shocking rip off
July 13, 2016

Hi booked a hotel through Alfarooms shocking. They take no responsibility for hotels that's in bad standards,, they can put up photos that say these hotels are in good shape,, and yet able to put up on there website,, how can this be legal. I'm bringing this to the court's.

£49 charge to cancel a £150 hotel booking 3 months before departure. No reply to my messages sent via the website for 2 weeks. 35 minute wait times on the phone and unhelp staff. Do not use.
Stick to reputable companies like booking.com or travel republic

Alpharooms charged me £40 to cancel a £100 booking 4 months before the holiday, they would not let me change the booking without paying the £40 unlike TRAVEL REPUBLIC who are by far the best travel booking site in my opinion.

No problems with the booking or flights for our Spanish holiday. I reviewed this holiday complex on trip adviser to find it has been slightly rewritten by person or persons unknown and put on the Alpharooms own review site NOT HAPPY

Booked hotell with alpharooms paid for hotel on internet price next day money went out of bank 2 days later they phoned me to say the price has gone up so you got to pay extra or we will send refund and cancel your booking bunch of wasters dont book with them they use other internet companies to make your booking read there small print first before considering this company

I apologise that we could not confirm your booking, I understand that this must be very frustrating. Occasionally a booking may fail in which case we will advise your booking is on request whilst we try to manually confirm it. Unfortunately on this occasion we were not able to do so.

The cost and availability is liable to change as we operate a live booking system with a variety of accommodation providers and prices can go up as well as down.

I am so, so frustrated!

I am so, so frustrated! Once again, I have not received an answer back from alpharooms about our upcoming vacation in only 3 weeks!. The booking e-mail said that on January 28,2015, the balance of our payment would be charged to the credit card account we made the reservation with UNLESS we paid ahead of time. I TRIED to pay ahead of time and there was no way on the website to do that! They have not yet charged my credit card for the remainder of the balance. For all I know, we will get to the resort and be turned away. WHY CANT I GET A SIMPLE ANSWER TO A SHORT E_MAIL? So here we are, "PLANNING" on a Cancun vacation, which we have bought the plane tickets for already, and have no idea if we have an actual reservation and how/when we will be paying for it.

From experience alpharooms usually provides the best price -- this is always the first hotel booking site to check for me. Recently I booked a hotel in London on a short notice for very reasonable price.

I have been using Alpha rooms for a number of years for golf trips abroad and family holiday bookings, I have found them to be the cheapest and they offer the best selection of Hotels amongst other things they offer are flights ect. I have recommended them to many friends. They are always available to offer advice if you have any queries..

Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I recently booked a holiday to Cyprus with them. I booked and paid for a transfer. When I was on holiday my transfer was cancelled, when I checked with the booking agent they told me that Alpharooms had cancelled this. I tried to contact them by phone but after waiting for 45 minutes on a premium number I gave up. When I returned to the UK I emailed them, they apologised and promised to send me the taxi fare I incurred. His was in June, the money never arrived and despite trying to contact them via my account they don't bother to reply if you look on the net there's loads of examples of the same thing. Its constantly happening and theyre not doing anything about it. My only hope now is to go through the small claims court. BEWARE

Do not book anything with alpharooms.com, they confirmed an accommodation booking at Camel Dive Club in Egypt even though they have no relationship with this hotel, they do not return emails at all, will not put anything in writing, do not process refunds, and have the worst telephone operators. Worst experience ever! Complaint never dealt with.

They were rude, repeatedly made promises they could not keep, they have no idea of customer service, and should not be allowed to trade.

I spoke to Anna B***, I was on hold for over an hour waiting for her to send me an email confirming I would get a full refund, after she did not do this for 3 days.

Disgusting service, painful experience, no respect for consumers.
