Amazon puts me at ease - Amazon has been a place which I started buying books from years ago, then graduated to music. Since 2007, I've been purchasing photo stuff from them. Today, I recieved a lens which I ordered last week, but the lens for some reason didnt communicate with my Canon XSi, got error messages. This is the first time ever that I had an issue with anything I got from Amazon directly or their vendors.
I was a bit anxious about what might transpire now that I've received this item and it needs to be replaced. So, I started with their HELP pages for returns or credit, and an online email to them resulted in a reply within an hour stating that a new lens would be sent right away and that if I click on a web page which they gave, I could print out a free UPS shipping label to return the defective part.
Since this is my first time ever having to deal with Amazon on a return, I have to say, its very impressive to see them respond so quickly and so positively without hassle or long protracted letter writing and phone calls.
My return is repacked ready to be dropped off at a UPS store or drop box, and my replacement lens has been shipped with a tracking number. They sent it at "2nd Day Air" with no charge to me.
That is how businesses should conduct themselves and not make life miserable for a customer who is justified in returning a defective product.
I am very impressed by Amazon, and if all turns out well as it seems to be, I will coninue to do business with them and will recommend them to others as well.
Online shopping complaint -
I purchased an item priced $395 from Cymaxstores on line. I attempted to cancel the order, but it was too late to stop shipment. I was lead to obtain an authorization prior to returning the item. Instructions were given to refuse the item, but instead the itemed was left at the door. Ups delivered and picked up 'refused item' and returned it. I recieved the a refund of $14. This is an outrage, I am prepare to pay the shipping charges on the free shipment of this purchase, or restocking. Stocking. Cymax policy has left me with a less then a fraction of my purchase. This is not right, what can i do to obtain a reasonable sum of my original purchased price.
Monster Mother of all E-Tailers - I shop Amazon.com all the time. I love their selection of books, and usually their prices are pretty good.

I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
