I remember years ago, this site use to be well-crowdsourced for answers. Now it is more click-bait with nothing substantive. Just use Yahoo! Answers instead.
Not going to lie probably the most infuriating and stupid idea anyone could have had was to make an ad that was a video to automatically play when you enter a site. What's even worse?! When you $#*!ing have that video replay if it gets muted or paused. Of all the stupid $#*!ing ideas a site could have for an ad, this is probably the second worst one (first being the ads that put a virus in your computer if you don't have an ad blocker).
I would give this site no stars, but there is no option. I would urge everyone not to click on answers.com links on Facebook and elsewhere. Total adware waste of my time through catchy titles leading click after click of useless information and misleading photos.
The slides for answers are annoying. I want to see the question and the answer together. When I search to find something it does not even offer a next page, just one page half filled with how to stuff that has nothing to do with my search
They stretch one article over many pages to fit in as many ads as possible. Whoever created this is the scum of the earth.
This is click bait at it's very worst. There is nothing about this site I like. In order to read one (generally poor) news article there is so much page clicking and ads just slow the whole thing down to a point its not worth the trouble. If you want to know Google, damn site easier and not nearly as keen to push every ad imaginable on you. Avoid like the plague
I hate the fact that their ads over-shadow their articles to the point you can not hear the article
Worst site ever. I close it as soon as I find out they are behind an article
It is awful! So much on it moving ads. Auto play commercials that jam your feed. The pages take for ever to lad... I hate this site...
I've learned that if I find an article I'm interested in reading and it directs me to answers.com, I close it immediately. If I really am curious enough about the subject, I search it in google; answers.com makes me want to throw my computer!
Answers.com is absolutely the worst site ever. Each page has about 10 words on it, the rest is advertisements. If you can even get to the next page without it flipping to an ad. It takes you 20 minutes to get through an article that has maybe 20 sentences.
Filled with ads whatever else makes it so slow.
Waste of time, even if the story is mildly interesting.
It could be much more but it remains crappy.
With Answers.com you can never find the answers for the simplest questions!
The only good news about this site is that they don't have original content. I have learned to search for their stories elsewhere and can usually find the same vid or photos on other sites. Far as I can tell, answers.com is solely intended to shove ads in your face? It's the old fashioned bait and switch, now more like bait and spam.
This has to be the worst site ever visited. You are lured by what appears an interesting or amusing article only to be bombarded by utter junk and mountains of advertising before you can view the content you went to see. Then without fail it NEVER produces the promised review. Absolute garbage.
This website is so stupid and FRUSTRATING. Why do I have to click and click and CLICK through dozens of photos and ideas to get to the one I want? I don't even mind the ads!
Don't bother looking at a story from these douche buckets. 1 sentence per page and it's all bs anyways. Have to click through 40 pages before you finally start getting to the story line. I will be blocking this terrible website from my life. Maybe people would read some crap on here if it was all on 1 or 2 pages instead of stretching a small paragraph into ******* pages. For now I d ok nt even bother going on a story if it is associated with this garbage company
"Answers" is the worst site EVER! I would hate to have to depend on it to give me real answers. It is slowest of slow and when you finally get to the end of the post, it is a HUGE disappointment. I need to know how to stop it from even coming on my computer. It is SO ANNOYING!
A great idea to hook you with an interesting tag then get you to look at 30 pages to find that the tag was less interesting than you could possible fathom.
They sell their site to advertisers on the basis of the number of pages "looked at".
However interesting an article potentially looks I AVOID if an Answers.com site but they are too clever for that and realise how many people like me will be making the same decisions. Now they advertise the article as coming from a different site so I'm still forced to accidentally down-load page one before quickly exiting.
Utter contemptible garbage (but a cracking business model!)
Answer: Same I dint get an awnser
Answer: The content is meaningless fluff, so don't worry about reading any articles from Answers.com as their site has anything but answers. It's a clicklbait site designed to draw the curious in and lock their computers so they stare at the ads waiting indeterminable amounts of time for the next slide to load. Stay away, it's a trap.
