Absolutely entirely a SCAM. Quick to take your money. Their poor skills show no results. Not worth you money. Communication is non existent at best. Customer service poor. Huge SCAM.
I do believe any of the reviews that are five stars. Their trick is that they state money back only if they get less the appraisal report which is $250. Run from these people is a SCAM and the owner is incredibly rude.
They send a slew of paper work that is meaningless, have you chase down the insurance company with no results. The insurance company laughs at what these people send via email.
Called the BBB and supposedly this is a common problem with her.
BEWARE!
My lawyer told me a diminished value case would not work, I contacted AutoLoss a week later StateFarm contacted me and said " a check for over 4000. 00 is being mailed to me!
I live in Oregon and a progressive driver hit me. Progressive totaled my new car and I was unable to get anything close to what I had before they hit my car. I was at fault in any way and progressive wanted to give me a ton less on my vehicle. I called around and spoke with the owner, Monica. Oregon has some law where the insurance company pays for the report. I paid $500 upfront and ended up getting the $500 plus the offer Monica got me. I netted $4500 plus the appraisal fee back. Great job! Eric Shan
They quoted me over 8K diminished value claim. I needed help, was hurt, was about to trade my pristine vehicle prior to sever rear end accident. After providing me with a boiler plate "document" to give to the insurance co., and not providing a true appraisal of my actual vehicle, they instructed me to go to CARMAX to get a bad appraisal. You will need an actual appraisal on your real vehicle for a DV claim. You don't need to pay them $275. Autoloss INC. Instructed me to to settle for 3K, just to be done with it, not based upon any real information. Their "sample" letters are poorly constructed. Anyone with basic writing skills can go ahead and do this on their own. This is a SCAM. They will tell you you have a huge claim, then tell you to settle for under the real value. I let them know that I could not utilize their bs information and went and procured several appraisals/trade in values on my vehicle, post accident. I ended up getting nearly 1500 more than what they instructed me to "settle for". They will NOT give you a refund, even when they provide NOTHING to you. You can process your Own DV Claim... it is simple. If you have a true claim, get a real appraisal to provide to the insurance co. You will receive what you are due. I was up against GEICO. They could not refute the facts that I provided them with. They did laugh at the original "document" from Autoloss... they are a joke. Check out their Facebook Page comments to negative reviews to get a flavor for the caliber of employees they have.
I have experienced DV loss when I traded my car in a few years ago, so I was made aware of real consequences when getting into an accident. I also have a friend who gave me tips on how to get some of this loss reimbursed (he did all the leg work and demanding).
So, when I was struck from behind while at a stop light, I was armed with some knowledge of what to do in case of a future accident.
I could have done the whole process myself (as did my friend); instead I hired Autoloss to produce a report and file on my behalf. It helped that they guaranteed to return the fee if I didn't recover at least that amount.
Autoloss explained the procedure and helped coached me through the process. I was already aware that this type of claim is something that has to be worked for with the insurance company, so my expectations were reasonable. If I got 80% of the DV, I reasoned, I would be satisfied. If I didn't get anything, I'd expect a refund of my fee.
After a few weeks of waiting for the insurance company to do their due diligence and for my car to be repaired, I was awarded the full amount of my DV.
You can certainly do what Autoloss does on your own, but I liked the idea that this is their expertise and they have a guarantee (return of fee).
My time is quite valuable. If I can pay someone else for their expertise and save myself hours/days of due diligence, research, trial and error, etc., then it makes sense for me.
For those who want to take their chances against insurance companies, I wish you success. For me, 3-4 hours of doing my own follow-ups, etc was worth my peace and sanity, and having a specialized partner advocating for me made it much easier, in my opinion.
Finally, after my car was repaired, I called the insurance company and asked for the status of my DV claim. She acknowledged that she obtained the professionally-produced report and told me the check will be sent out that day. 300 spent, 8000+ returned.
I will not hesitate to use and recommend this company and their services again in the future.
Autoloss did a fabulous job for me! I had a brand new Toyota with 500miles and I was hit from behind. Autoloss estimated my diminished value and Allstate did not dispute it. With only 1 call I was able to get a check for $7500 for my diminished value. Thanks for all your hard work. It really was amazing. Miranda Kirr. Orlando, Florida
Great team at autoloss. I had $750 and went to $4500. The fee is only $250 great investment. Nguyen
Don't believe these people, these people Monica/Douglas assure anything for making money out of us!
When i first reached(i didn't read reviews about them) out to them, instead of asking about the details, Monica straight away assured me the amount that i will get and from the first call, she insisted to pay the fee 250$. And from then i have to follow up with them each and every day and guess what i have got in the last from the Insurance company is 10% of what Monica assured me.
And there is one other person Douglas, he even claimed that this is their success to get at least that amount.
These people are fraud and they just use the same paper work for all the claims except the name and state change and they pretend as if they are working day and night to get us the needed paper work.
Also, they will give us free advice to go and complain to some government body/small claims court so they can help us to settle the claim.
Don't believe these people, i paid 250$ just for nothing!
I live in rural area of Texas so I had a hard time finding an appraiser. My body shop, Sewell and my boss at work used autoloss. I was very happy with the service and the payout. N nguyen
I was very glad to find autoloss. I had called a few companies and the appraisers seemed like flakes. Autoloss did what they said they would. I netted $5000 more. Wade s.
I have worked with autoloss a few times and have been very happy with the outcome. Monica, and her staff go the extra distance to make sure I am always happy. I have a large family and it seems someone is always hitting us. Each time I have a problem I call Monica to see what she thinks about my claim. Many times after reviewing my claim she will tell me to take the adjuster offer. The auto claims she takes she never lets me down. I easily have cashed $10,000 in checks because of autoloss. The insurance company will not always give me the full amount in her reports but the settlements are close to the full amount. Thanks for the help, Alex Marty
They provided a useless appraisal that the insurance company rejected (appraisal is a generic pre-accident value, not post accident appraisal). They will advise you to get a quote from the dealer for post accident value while emphasizing to NOT tell the dealer about diminished value. It's important to note that dealerships do NOT provide appraisals unless you are there to buy a car..., hence, you can 1. Lie or 2. Go pay for an appraisal. Don't waste your $250. Find a professional appraiser who actually inspects your vehicle!
My neighbor told me to call autoloss. Monica saved me and my neighbor thousands of dollars. The fee is $275 and the customer service is really good. With the service like it is I don't know how they stay in business. I am very pleased and will use autoloss again. Stacey Williams Portland
Autoloss is great. I received the full amount in the Autoloss report. I called the insurance company after a few days and they told me they were mailing me a check. Thanks, Stephan hickstern
I was skeptical when looking on the internet for a diminished value company. I called autoloss and Monica called me back. Monica walked me through the process. Monica went above and beyond through out the whole process. I was able to get 3 times the amount I initially asked for on my own
I am so sorry it took so long to write a review. I have been crazy busy. Geico totaled my vehiicle. I had to fight with geico to get my down payment back. Monica was extremely knowledgeable. If you are looking for a fighter call autoloss. 5 stars and well deserved. Monica undersells autoloss!
From start to finish, autoloss was there for us! Autoloss provided a detailed specific appraisal for our claim. Monica fisher was extremely, knowledgeable, easy to contact, and had an excellent team around her. I was able to settle my diminished value claim for $7800 in New York. I spoke with the other appraisers and they refused to take the claim in New York. My claim settled in 3 weeks I would recommend autoloss to anyone! Thanks for our help! Jeff vise, New york
I was very impressed with Autoloss. I spoke with attorneys and public adjusters. The attorneys did not want want my claim because it was not worth a lot of money. I paid $250 with autoloss and the claim settled for the amount in the report. I would recommend autoloss to any prospective customer. Yong liu
My insurance company was totally screwing me on my value of my 12 Toyota. I interviewed a few other appraisers but Monica was the best. I felt like she really cared about me. After paying Autoloss I cleared $3500 more. Thanks so much for everything! Ron lee
