I use to use these products but I never will again & they have crappy customer service. Fail, fail epic fail
I should have listened to the bad reviews. And yes it's true, they are horrible. They acted like they cared and had me send all types of pictures of all different angles of the horrible job labels they did. And I got ignored. Save your money because this website is full of crap!
Fisces! Is the best word to describe. Or perhaps someone wasted their lives making this software. UI is a nightmare. Never works right. No ability to scale from center or equilaterally! Never prints what you see in the viewport. Increments of moving are too large of a jump.
All my designs are missing and they wont do anything about it. They say my email is invalid when I have proof that I have been using them for months now.
I've had so many orders of printed labels that are crooked and misaligned even the reprints are now misaligned. They use to be pretty reliable but that all changed and has never returned. A waste of money and time. I'm done with Avery for good now.
I'm sorry Avery but you had a winning combination when you had Design Pro 5.5 software and your labels. Both of these worked like a charm.
You discontinued Design Pro 5.5 and came up with Design and Print and more issues came about. Why would you not hire the same programmers that worked on this software back in 1999-2010 and come up with an improved version?
Even your Design and Print offline (standalone version) is being retired so only the Online version is available. I will not use Online only products for creating and printing Labels.
Bring back Design Pro 5.5 redesigned using the original tools from Leadtools, Envel and XLS. This older software is vastly superior to what you offer now. It is shame.
Users will need to keep older hardware to print labels? Crazy.
Please fix your ways Avery!
You would think a big company like Avery could hire a programmer or two to make some decent software to print their labels! Holy cow. What complete junk. Cumbersome and buggy is an understatement.
What a disaster!
Can't print a thing. I tried several computers without any luck. I searched for Avery printing problems and sure enough, just as I suspected. They changed it and totally screwed it up. Will now have to recreate all my labels. Whoever came up with this new printing garbage should be fired!
I hate Avery so much I almost just broke my computer. Now I'm wasting my time writing this review cause of how s***t this app is.
Shamefully cumbersome to use given the advanced state of digital technology 20 years into the 21st century.
For some reason Avery is changing everything so you have to do your labels online using their "Avery design & print". The problem is it's a step back rather than a step forward. There are more steps, not as much customization, upload to mail merge, download to print, etc. I don't understand and it's so utterly frustrating. They've retired the google docs mail merge add-on. But created this add-on for Excel. However, again you have to upload the excel data into Avery design & print, then after the merge download to print from your printer. It is totally a time waster and again you don't have near the flexibility or customization you did.
They've updated their product to something worse and I've wasted an incredible amount of time 1) trying to make the type of labels I used to make using the google doc add-on; 2) Trying to figure out how to make the merge process faster only to discover you can't because you've got to upload to create then download to print (unless you are making a huge number of labels and order from Avery and they will print); and 3) trying to figure out how to add the label template I want to use to Word only to find out they've retired the Avery Wizard for Word!
This is one of the worst roll-outs of a new design process I've ever experienced.
A change to the label print site makes selecting a Text box different from before. I cannot get the box to allow typing in the address as in the past. What Happened?
It used to be easy to make a label now it is nearly impossible if not completely impossible. So far I have not been able to use the label maker as I have in the last 10 years.
The user interface sucks. It is very difficult to use. I cannot use it, and I am smart person. I went to college. I got a degree. Avery needs to improve its user interface to make it suck less.
Spent $300 on file supplies and Avery labels. Our first dislike was sharing our business contact information with Avery. Then we tried to type simple file labels... bad... many tries. Then printing did not align. Then it was no better with MS Word. When we realized that we were wasting out time we tried to online chat with Avery. They were too busy to answer. We scrapped all the Avery products and used a competitor. They need to replace all of their label instructions.
Ok so very simple project for labels for Easter cards. Did all labels the same, but fist several are so off target that they are divided into 2 labels! Some random ones just happen to be in the middle! The only way to use their labels without wasting them is to hand write in your addresses! Don't waste your money and time like I did!
Only basic label-making, and what little functions that the website has rarely work. I would definitely not recommend, try Canva or something instead, as this is a terrible website.
I always get what I order and on time, usually early... all products from Christmas Cards to professional items are always just like the easy design templates show it!
I had a bunch of things I wanted to print for a baby shower and thought that the Avery products were going to be a perfect fit. However, after reading the reviews I was hesitant to invest in all the different products and then have them turn out awful. I decided on trying just one, the index cards to print out a book request and to my delight they came out beautifully. I then went all in purchasing the business cards, round labels, scallop tags and tabs with strings. Every single thing printed perfectly and was exactly what I was looking for! I do believe that my success was due to a printer that was able to take card stock easily and I did use Google Chrome. I am really so glad I gave it a go. I saved a lot of money being able to customize my shower favors myself.
I CAN'T imagine what happened the first time but since I have found everything imaginable but success and support. Just close your eyes and guess and your labels will do better than their help--closed, stupid, not available. 10 years ago I had this pro blem. Tried first to do ethics committee labels. You can imagine how immature they were. Doesn't quite help the situation. These people should be out of business when you can guess and get it better than notMAGOR LOSING COMPANY DO NOT BUY--NO SERVICE
I bought some postcards. The print preview didn't match up to what was printed. Wasted about half the package redoing postcards.

Answer: I think part of the issue is that Avery Dennison sold off their Labels and Software to CCL in 2016. I luckily still have an older system that uses Windows 7 and Design Pro 5.5 software and I can print most labels the way I want them. The Design and Print software is garbage compared to the older now retired Design Pro 5.5. I have a feeling that Avery (from CCL) is trying to get users to pay to print via their service instead of having a capable program that users can print at home or at work. Even the Design and Print is going away from the "offline" version and going with Online only... I will NEVER go with an Online version ever period! Your better bet unfortunately is to download a template for either Word or Photoshop and print from there if you have a system that is not compatible with Design Pro. Design Pro was created by Avery Dennison and not CCL industries

Answer: Apparently it does. When I ask for a second or third PDF, the file name has (2) or (3) added.
