My first experience with this company is that they play games with your money I have been waiting for my money for over a week even when you put on instapay they still play games their customer services of zero help The company sucks.

I signed up for a free account to receive payments from one client. I signed up using the link on their website that says "get a free account to receive payments". Instead, the platform signed me up for a free trial that I did not want, and I spent over a week communicating with customer service about it, and how I only wanted a free account. I was told by customer service that my account had been downgraded to a free account. Since then, this company has taken $90 out of my checking account for services I have not received, do not want, and specifically communicated to them that I was not using and had no intention of using. Customer service promised me that my account had been downgraded. A week later, I was charged $45. I assumed it was a charge that had already been in the digital queue before I spoke to them, and decided it was worth losing $45 to avoid spending a week communicating with their customer support to get it back. Then, I woke up this morning to find that they had taken an additional $45 from my bank account, despite being told multiple times that my account had been downgraded. Now I have been communicating with customer service for 2 hours this morning, was dropped by the first person, and had to go through the whole explanation again with a new person. Now I am being told that they're probably not going to refund the $90 that they took from me without permission, authorization, or services provided, and the person I spent a week talking to orignally had not downgraded my account, but moved me over to a basic account, despite the week long conversation about how I did not want that. After approx 2 hours on chat with customer service, I asked for my complaint to be escalated. The person they connected me to basically said "not our problem" and disconnected the chat on me.
On top of that, my one client who uses this platform emailed me on Tuesday, 8/5/25, that she had forwarded a payment to me the previous day, Monday, 8/4/25. I did not receive notice of the payment, or any information regarding it, for a week, until last night after close of business, when the payment suddenly appeared in my checking account, after I wrote a frustraded email to their "on boarding specalist" who reached out to me approx 65 days AFTER I signed up for the account.
This platform is funding their corporate lifestyle by taking money that they're not authorized to take from small independent artists, who make barely above poverty levels annually.

There's no support. The product functions poorly. Support people are morons. Support process is non existent. They have no visibility across cases so when you have an issue (and you will), forget about actually getting help.

I had an email asking me to confirm my address for an account I didn't sign up for. Emailed them to confirm that it wasn't me signing up for it and I want nothing to do with their services- no follow up email to tell me that my email account or any of my information isn't being used and their help/contact site just goes to a blank page. Can somebody from Bill please help me out here? Stressed out thinking that a potential scam is happening.

I had to sign up for Bill.com to begin accepting payments from my employer. I went through all of the necessary requirements and verification (which were so absurd to begin with that I legitimately questioned their legitimacy). I had to provide an image of my passport, my ID, a selfie with my passport, and my most recent bank statement.

I did so, and had to retake my perfectly clear images.

I did that too.

Sent that to them and after an entire TWO WEEKS finally got verified. However, I am now on my THIRD WEEK of trying to get verified because a day after I was verified, they closed my account telling me I WASN'T verified.

So... I took the photos again, because they said that they were blurry (they were not, obviously, they had already verified me), I sent them in, expecting to be verified (again).

I was not.

So here I am, on my third week of trying to be verified with some of the worst customer service (bordering on scam-like) I have EVER experienced with a company, I am a week from not being able to get paid, and they aren't even responding to my emails now.

Emails that I would rather not have to send, but have to because they are NOW requiring me to have a piece of mail with my name on it and it absolutely HAS to be either a lease or utility bill (I have neither of those at my address because I live with my mother).

Still waiting, and time is running short. If I don't get paid next weekend it falls on Bill.com. DO NOT trust them, DO NOT choose them.

UPDATE: I am currently in my fourth week of waiting to have my account shutdown appeal reviewed, no contact since I submitted my appeal.

My employer has agreed to pay me in another way (ACH) and it took just a few hours to get it all done. Bill.com required SO MANY VERIFICATION DOCUMENTS that it was MORE than I have EVER had to submit for ANYTHING, even my US Passport was easier to get than getting paid through Bill.com, that is INSANE.

Good riddance.

SCAM FAST PAY DOESN'T ARRIVE ON ARRIVAL DATE

bill.com is running a scam with FastPay that when you pay an extra fee, it will disburse funds on arrival date, however, funds do not arrive until next day or worse employees have to wait for their FastPay to arrive the following Monday. Fast Pay is a total SCAM.

Then you have to call and their FOREIGN reps can barely speak English with very THICK ACCENTS that can't figure anything out. I absolutely HATE THIS COMPANY

Always a major problem with bill.com. I tried a very simple task of updating a bank account and the system keeps buffering. This has happened several times. Do yourself a favor and don't use bill.com.

Worst possible support, non existent. John, person who answers phone, has a very thick accent, and is really poor first impression of this crappy company. Their website is inadequate does not function. And their Support Dept. is clearly overwhelmed by all the inquiries that they can't keep up. And will only refer you to an inadequate Chat feature. Clearly, bill.com is NOT on top of their game in providing quality USA service.

This company has got the world's worst support "team." If you call, you get an individual was a very thick accent who is overly rude, obnoxious and is a perfect representative for this company. Their payments are SUPER SLOW, even with you pay the expedite fee. Their chat is equally terrible and is NO help at all. My company will be searching for another service. bill.com is absolutely the crummiest, worst company out there for online bill. Pay. Their support is awful and their delivery service just terrible.

This has to be one of the most frustrating and time wasting experiences of my 25+ years in business.

Not only is their customer service nonexistent, what little customer service you get is aggressively incompetent.

After sending them more documentation, photographs, bank statements, "selfies holding my passport, and an incalculable amount of hours wasted, not only do they refuse to give me my money and process my invoices…

With zero explanation as to why, they refuse to allow me to receive payments from my clients here.

This criminal organization should be investigated. After everything I sent them, I am highly worried about identity theft, and financial fraud.

Avoid this company at all costs! And do not send them all of your personal, business, tax and financial information.

STAY AWAY! I signed up for Bill.com, I run a small to medium sized business and thought it would be perfect. I couldn't have been so wrong! Bill.com will let you pay a few vendors but then they put your account on HOLD to do a verification. AFTER OVER A WEEK OF NOT BEING ABLE TO SEND ONE PAYMENT OUT, SENT THE DOCUMENTS TO THEM OVER 6X, OPENED SEVERAL CASES, PROMISES THAT IT WOULD BE FIXED, I'M STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO RELEASE MY ACCOUNT SO I CAN PAY MY FIRST OF THE MONTH RENT PAYMENTS. THEY HAVE LITERALLY BROUGHT MY BUSINESS TO A HALT. HORRIBLE AND FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OF NO HELP WHATSOEVER.

Looks like they are trending $3B annualized sales yet still losing money it appears, but much better, hence the big jump in stock price.

I initially reviewed it for my small business and declined to use. Now a customer used it, not knowing it, and it resulted in massive delays.

Customer service is horrible, repeating a caned response. Customers can use it to avoid the ACh/wire costs and save, but at what cost to the vendor.

Very questionable FCIC insurance, claim the funds are held under a FDIC bank, but really...

They use the float to profit on, (most cases) paying you in 2-4 days vs immediate ACH. But after two transactions you are eligible for quick pay for 1% of the fee. So suddenly they can do the instant ACH but only if you pay for it. Dont think my customer will be happy when I charge back the payment fee in increased prices.

Run from it if you can.

I am extremely disappointed with Bill.com's service. The process of verifying my account has been unnecessarily complex, frustrating, and riddled with delays. Despite submitting multiple identification documents (including my driver's license, utility bill, and bank statement), they insisted on a selfie holding my ID—something I've never encountered even when opening bank accounts.

This experience was reminiscent of dealing with a crypto scam company rather than a legitimate financial service provider. The delays in receiving my payment, the constant requests for more documentation, and the lack of transparency in their verification process left me with serious concerns about their credibility. Even after all my submissions, I was told that further delays would occur, taking several more business days.

I've worked with major financial institutions, and they handle similar processes in a fraction of the time. Bill.com's overly complex verification requirements and poor communication have severely impacted my trust in their service. Once I receive my payment, I will be canceling my account and ensuring my data is securely removed from their systems.

I would not recommend Bill.com to anyone who values efficient, straightforward, and transparent financial service

Don't waste your time! Deceiving, no live person!
They have one single person live to redirect you to iRobot that doesn't answer to give you a call back. Horrendous! If you see a review with over 2 stars that's a fake review!

This is a third party payment company that skims off the top and requests personal private information and will not budge. This company is shady and fraudulent. Dont trust them with your bank account information.

They are annoying and redundant. Way too much of a process to get paid as gig worker. They keep all your private info and it takes days and a lot of investigating to close your account.

Worst Company Ever

I am a 1099 contractor with a medical company and receive my payments through Bill.com. I have been receiving payments for over a year with them and for the most part things worked well. Until they locked me out of my account with no warning or explanation and then refuse to reinstate my account no matter how much proof I send them that I am indeed the person and company I say I am. I even sent them legal documentation showing the formation of my company, passport, drivers license, nearly everything including the kitchen sink. Then I can't get a hold of anyone to actually try to fix the situation and then they tell me I have to file an appeal which will take 5 days. Lastly, I finally was able to chat with someone online and nearly nothing a said they responded to correctly including I asked for a copy of the chat transcript to be emailed to me and they replied with thanking me for being willing to summarize the session and send them an email with the summary! Are you freaking kidding me! Stay away from this company if possible. There are much better companies out there such are WorkMarket by ADP. I would give them negative stars if I could.

They not only charge you for this software but then they charge every person you try to pay a hefty fee to get their money before 8 days. Otherwise they hold the money for 8 days and then pay it! DISGRACEFUL

My payment was intercepted and cashed. I filed a fraud claim for improper endorsement in August.
My customer has not been funded and I have not get paid. All BILL says is that there is no update on the investigation. I need help solving BILL case# *******

I accidentally signed up for the wrong account. Their website is not user friendly and I struggled with deleting it. I called customer service several times requesting to be reimbursed for the $79 that they continued deducting from my bank account. They finally reimbursed me for ONE month=disgusting as they can see that account was NEVER used! I will also let the company know that uses them to pay their employees that they are horrible!

Allowed a setup of a fraudulent account for my companies name and then allowed transactions to continue even after contracting bill.com which is extremely difficult. Banks have a legal and ethical responsibility to refund scammed money to their customers but bill.com has zero customer service does not take fraud seriously. I also have customers that use bill.com (why I don't know) and when they send an email they state a delivery date of a check which is usually 6 to 10 days after the date stated in the email. They are using a float scheme to gain more interest income on customers money. Stay away from this fraudulent company.

When a customer signs up for BILL they have to go thru a verification process before the account can be active including supplying identification and company documentation. We take the security of our customer's bank accounts very seriously, as well as having federally regulated due diligence we must complete when it comes to verifying identities and authorizing money movement for accounts. Scammers

This company took 8500.00 out of my account with out any authorization. I have never heard of them or do any kind of business with them. They were phishing my account by doing deposits in and out of.88 cents and then 8500.00. The scammers are bill.com and golden girls retirement. I have nothing to do with either companies. They need shut down ASAP.
