Do not fall for this BS! I purchased a $20 sword Mystery Box (actually a pair--seemed like an even better deal at $15 each) and just received the shipment yesterday. "Three times the value" my a**! What I received was a Shadow Tactical (https://www.budk.com/Shadow-Tactical-Tanto-Sword-And-Sheath-3Cr13-Stain-*******) which is listed AT $19.99 and a Red Guardian (https://www.budk.com/Red-Guardian-Ninja-Sword-and-Kunai-Throwing-Knife-Set-with-Sheath-*******) which was listed at $24.99... so in BudK's Bizarro math apparently three times 40 equals... 45. Go back to 6th grade, guys.
This is obviously their way of offloading cheap stuff that isn't moving--especially when demanding a return would end up costing the buyer as much in shipping as just eating the purchase as a mistake. But rest assured I am never buying anything from BudK again when it is available elsewhere like Amazon or Kult of Athena--they've lost a customer of 35 years with these shenanigans.
I ordered a knife on 6/15/22 and payed 25 dollars for 2nd day air. They refuse to refund me for shipping costs and I was hung up on by a customer service rep that was apparently having a bad day, at no point was I hostile or any bit angry. It's currently 6/21/22 and I just got a notification that the package was out for delivery. I would have accepted a discounted price for shipping I wasn't even expecting a full refund. I'm very reasonable and have never had anything bad to say about the company up until this point and it's saddening to know I have to find another company since I've been using them for goods for almost 10 years now.

I just received several items from BUDK. Both knives and a sword. The products are low quality. Actually they are crap. I spoke with customer service and was told they would give me a refund once they received the products. But because the items are not damaged, I have to pay return postage. The return postage is costing me $26.00. Can you say ouch? I'm going to buy from Amazon in the future.

Ordered from them and they shipped to wrong address. Called customer service and was told I ordered online so they could not help me. Asked to talk to a supervisor and I was told no. The quality of their product is very low, but it was fun and cheap for a little while, but when they mess up and just say oh well you are out of luck. I will never buy from them again

Their smith clearly doesn't know the importance of cleaning metal and properly heat treating it. After just 2 uses on cheap 2x4 the hammer head broke off. You can see the rusted grain within the head where it tore clean off from. That's a very amateur move on their end. I'm a skinny guy and didn't even use half my strength.

Like the title says this catalog and on line store is the go-o place for cutlery. The Bud-K catalog and on line store is top notch. Whether you are in the market for cutlery ranging from domestic/cooking knives to survival or self defense weapons out to exotic edged weapons, this is the place to go. I just placed an order on Tuesday, and it arrived 4 days later. Not the usual 7-10 working days (or longer) The order was professionally packaged, and the knife is of outstanding quality. (The M-48 cutlery line defines the standard) Prompt, courteous service, superb variety and reasonable prices. Too bad other business don't measure up.

Very hard to get a order through with these guys. Even after spending hours emailing and taking with the agents, your order will still just sit. Then it gets canceled. All after confirming with them. Then they acknowledge they have dead codes. They acknowledge wasting your time. Will they offer to do anything about it? No. Even after my first order I realized how slow and hard it was so I paid for rush shipping. I paid for priority shipping and packing also. Did me no good. So I jumped through all the hoops. Got two emails telling me my order was confirmed. Spoke to agent that said she was noting my account and it was getting packed and shipped. Then days later the same agent just says so sorry we wasted your time. Bye.

I ordered the survival kit ammo crate valued at 140 and I just do not feel I got my moneys worth. The tent they put in there, I can get a better one on amazon for way cheaper! The rest was just little stuff that comes in every survival kit. I ordered this one specifically because everyone said it was so much better. I am not pleased

I ordered an expensive black powder revolver from Budk about a month ago. I have no account, and ordered it as a guest. Well I got tired of waiting and checked the tracking #. There was problems with the shipping and the package got returned to sender, and I called customer service to sort out the issue. I called them on Friday, december 3, and on December 4, the very next day, I picked up my package from the post office. Great customer service.

I put in twice for there free subscription for a catalog and that was about 2 months ago and i never received it i do love there products amd have soent several hudred dollar on there site but i just would like them to do better when it comes to punctuality on there catalog since i am a paying customer id think it shouldnt be a problem im actually a second generation customer as well my father use to receive there catalog and caught my eye since i was a child here i am now 40 years old ordering from them as well

Answer: Depends on how much you're willing to spend. The ones on BudK are all junk with the, out of place, exception of their Benchmade line-up which are some of the best OTF's and range from $250-$450(add, at the bare minimum, another $50+ for taxes and shipping). Personally, I think, with all the mechanics involved in an OTF, it's not worth the price tag because the more "mechanisms" you put in a knife, the less reliable it becomes, which is why a fixed blade will always be more reliable than a folder or an automatic of equal quality. Especially since I'm not a mercenary or an assassin. OTF's are definitely cool tho. So, as with any knife, if it's for show, buy cheap. If it's for survival, dip into your savingsFrom top down, these knives are in order of reliability.
Answer: Depends on how much you're willing to spend! Standard is like $15-$20, expedited is like $25-$35, then you also have the option to have your package moved to somewhere closer to the front of the line for $3-$5. Kinda feels like a racket to me. My advice when thinking about using budk is to see if amazon has what you want first, as many of the items on budk can be found on amazon for cheaper and with free, well tracked, shipping.
