Canva is recognized for its user-friendly design tools and extensive asset library, appealing to both novice and experienced creators. However, significant concerns have emerged regarding its customer service, particularly the absence of a phone support option and difficulties in navigating the cancellation process. Many users report frustrations with billing practices, technical glitches, and inadequate responses to complaints, leading to dissatisfaction and feelings of being undervalued. Overall, while Canva's platform is praised for its functionality, the company's customer service approach appears to undermine its reputation, prompting calls for improvements in support and communication.

Poor follow up and service with Beth at Canva. Can't get overcharge credited back to my account. It has been going on for a month. I had to contact my bank due to lack of response.
EDITED: I'm downgrading my review because the response from customer service has been horrible. Said they were refunding my money, then asked me in another email if I wanted it refunded, then told me they'd already reprinted it, then asked again if I wanted a refund. I also found out that, when you say you need something reprinted because there was a problem with it, it is automatically reprinted and no one actually checks it for correctness. Not the way to run a business.
I like creating my own designs, and Canva makes it easy to do that. I will NEVER order from them again, though, because the last project I designed (business cards I needed quickly for a professional conference) were printed with errors the first time, then reprinted with the exact same errors. Unfortunately, I received the second batch two days before I was leaving, so I am going without cards.:-( This really affects my ability to network, which is important for a new business. Canva only replied saying they'd refund my money, but with no acknowledgment of the problems they have created. Never again.
Ordered business cards from my design. Done this a few times so not super excited to open boxes to inspect when they arrived. When I needed the new cards I opened the boxes (only 5-6 weeks after receiving them) to discover the black background of the cards was brown. I was stunned. I immediately contacted Canva, but I had just missed the 30 day window, so too bad, too sad. No refund or replacement. I provided photos of the completed defective product. They could not care less. They charge me every month - this meant nothing to them. Canva is a very bad company in my opinion.
I was trying to make an ai generated image and they said the following was too offensive to make "a logo for a company which shows they do not use animal testing. It is a vegan and cruelty free cosmetic company. It should be a bunny with a smiliing face.", no customer support when tried to resolve issue
Used CANVA as it offers easy-to-use images, editing, and design creation, but the end result while looking okay on CANVA has terrible Resolution. I made logo and packaging design and should have used Adobe from the start, Now I have to redo everything, including replacing images, because they are blurry. Anything is small text is so unclear, that its a smeer.
There should be a warning, CANVA Is not professional, and the text & image resolution is AWEFUL!
Total waste of time and money.
They are stealing your identity! They don't care! Beware! Fraud
No review it's fraud! Fraud! I opened a free account NOw they are saying I owe them $$$. Wake up people! You're giving your identity to people and apps that can't protect you. Wake up!
Last week, I started working on a 30 minutes presentation for one of my university courses. For some unknown reason, my progress didn't save (although the picture uploaded was saved onto my account) and I lost several hours of work.
It is impossible for me to view whether or not it is possible to retrieve my projects since the history feature is a premium one. Now the premium feature cost $200 which is prohibitive for a poor student who has to manage to pay all his expenses with a yearly income of $10,700 (the "minimal viable income" to live in Montreal is $29,500 according to the IRIS).
When one considers that being a post-graduate student requires 50h+ of work each week, losing several hours of work and not being able to know the reason why it fails or is able to restore the problem is extremely frustrating.
You can be sure I will make negative WOM for this brand (I am studying marketing BTW) as long as this product remains highly unreliable as well as prohibitive for university students.
I have been using Canva for a long time. I tried different services, but only this one seems convenient to me and this image editor is also free. I previously used Canva for social media posts and now I use Canva to create business cards. I recently signed up for premium and now I have the opportunity to use «Corporate Identity», «Background Remover» and cool animations
We enjoy using Canva for team design collaboration for our startup business. The ability to collaborate and organize in folders is nice, as well as the designs and features available for use. However, sometimes the website doesn't show the correct thumbnails of the design that has been edited and can be glitchy switching between the desktop and mobile app. We are a startup business (www.sbia1.com) but mainly use Canva for promoting our social content on our platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn.
I ordered some business cards from canva, i reviewed the design and paid and had it shipped. I received them and I realized i misspelled something on accident. I emailed them and they let me redesign my cards and sent out the new ones for FREE, didn't have to pay for shipping or anything. Great service all around.
I got charged 12.99 for canva, the thing is i don't have a canva account! Trying to contact canva is an exercise in futility, there is NO phone number, there is no live chat, it's email only. The worst company i've ever dealt with. Sending emails gets answered with requests such as 'send us the last 4 of your credit card, etc.'..
I've only ordered business cards--so happy with them I reordered a few months later--so I can't speak to others' experiences. I recently started my own business and this seemed like an easy way to get customized cards fast. And it was. The cards came exactly as I'd designed them, with vibrant colors. I appreciated the auto-correct that informed me that my lettering wasn't centered when I was designing them, and they arrived very quickly and in a handsome box. Super affordable too. When I had trouble with Paypal on the reorder, customer support was there and responded to my emails quickly. Highly recommend.
I had a great deal of fun with the Canva free trial! I've been a user for a month now. I will be a returning customer, and plan to make full use of the tutorials. I found it most useful to make simple SVG projects.
Canva charged us $119 when we didn't buy anything. We had stuck with the free version and didn't give Canva any of our information, but for some reason, our bank account got charged and we can't reverse it. We've been to the website support for a refund but it won't let us submit our response. We've tried calling their phone number *******388 but an automated voice responded and then hung up. We have not been able to contact them at all and are now calling our bank. I've seen that a lot of other people have had similar problems and It really sucks that Canva is this irresponsible, and possibly stealing from people who haven't bought anything.
My mom and I ordered baby shower invitations from Canva and only received 50 out of 60 we ordered. We requested expedited shipping to have the missing 10 invitations sent to us in a timely matter, but Canva wouldn't bend. Their customer service only replied once a day and didn't seem to care that we were needing the invitations sent to us ASAP as requested multiple times. The invitations turned out great, just the customer service was TERRIBLE!
I've been unable to log in to my account for several days. (No problem with any other site)
I have emailed Canva support several times. They don't even bother to respond.
Don't waste your time or money.
I designed some business cards on this site which was nice. But the quality of the cards was very poor. All six of the people I ordered for had bad framing of the cards, they were very flimsy, and the colors didn't look great. I tried them one more time hoping things were better. They messed up by printing the same side on both sides of the card. Their customer service was very poor and hard to use. I will never use this company again and warn everyone to not use them.
First, there is no number for you to call to speak with someone; second, there is no live chat for you to use to try and connect with a human; third, the only way for you to complain about a print job is to send an email off of their website and even that they say it will take at least a week to answer the email... If you are trying to get something refunded, good luck
Somehow Canva found a way to charge my credit card their premium subscription fee of $119.99. I never completed the billing process, I was on their site viewing pricing. Next thing I know I have a charge of $119.99 on my card. I requested a refund and was told refund request received, it will take 10-20 days to see the money back on my card. It took less than 24 hours to take it but 10-20 days for them to put it back.
When I used Canva, it wasn't bad, but when I closed down my tab when I was done with it for the day, it didn't save. I don't know why. I had to start all over again. Also, Canva keeps on messaging me. I have received over 15 emails from them in the last month.
Anyway, Canva wasn't bad, just remember not to close down your tab!
Answer: That was one of my issues. No active link to cancel the free trial subscription.
Answer: There is zero support. Until they do something about it, don't begin with them. Try Snappa instead.
