I started using Changelly about a year ago. I was looking for something that would:
1) buy coins safely (from a large, reliable company)
2) do so at a decent rate with small fees.
This service has worked well, I use it about once a moth without any problems. I have no reason to switch to another one yet, and overall can recommend it.
The speed is what sold me. I've had coins show up in my wallet within 5 minutes. A good one.
First time trying the service... i was a bit worried the swap might get stuck smewhere because I sent from mobile wallet, but everything fine, it took ~12 minutes, which is ok for network congestion I guess... Interface is simple, nothing complicated, will prob use again!

I mistakenly selected a fixed rate instead of a floating one. The amount was quite large; the difference between the fixed and floating rates was over $500. And yes, they converted my Bitcoin to USDT at a rate of 99,000 when the minimum rate that day was 109,000. I paid for the order immediately after placing it. Customer support is unresponsive, even when I requested a partial refund. I was a loyal customer, and it's a shame I'll have to use a different service. The company is focused on short-term profits rather than long-term play. There's no loyalty here, be careful.

To clarify the matter, there's some risk to processing transactions at fixed-rates that lies with the exchanger, not the customer, as there's never a reliable way to predict the exchange rate at the moment of the exchange, hence the processing cost for fixed-rate exchanges is higher than floating-rate. The difference is clearly displayed beforehand, when the choice is made. There are times where the live rate climbs, in which case, the exchange has the upper hand, but there's also a time, when the live exchange drops favoring the customer, in which case, you would have still received the fixed amount at our expense.
We understand that this time the outcome was not what you had hoped for, but we make it very clear to show the rates before making any payment to us, specifically to keep things fair and transparent for everyone. Once Changelly has identified that it wants to block the funds from you, it will launch an AML/KYC compliance check. I am *******@proton.me, Kateryna Tsvyk was defrauded by the Changelly.com exchange for more than $150,000 in TRON TRX cryptocurrency. I fulfilled all the conditions and requirements for the procedures, as well as passed verification, provided sources of income, sources of funds (which were not even directly related to the transaction, but were obtained by me when exchanging at another exchange office). Support completely ignores any contact, and the AML verification department has been responding very rarely with a pre-written message for 9 months now. There is also confirmed information that they are using the funds for their own purposes and that they are not frozen during the verification process, which indicates open fraud. Bestchange supports them despite the fact that Changelli has long been listed as a scam on the UK Financial Conduct Authority website. Do not do business with them; they will steal your money!
I thought Changelly was a reputable platform, but my experience has been a disaster. I exchanged 3.2 $BTC for $XMR and got the Transaction ID yjrk7dcko4a8yrky. But despite completing the KYC process, my funds were seized without explanation. I've tried to contact customer support, but it's like talking to a brick wall. I have made several posts about this scam on reddit r/changelly_scam and I wont stop until I am refunded.

Update: Changelly released my funds after 3 months. Once I saw through their smokescreen and called their bluff it went quickly. Changelly makes money by charging swap fees, they outsource these transactions to the cheapest bidder, even shady ones. In cases where such transactions „get stuck" they play the KYC/ALM card to stall for time. That's it, they don't even run a ALM unit it's all fake. ***
As reported by many other customers. Changelly lets you walk into a trap. They ask for KYC after (!) the transaction is performed and been put on hold. But it does not stop there, after that you find yourself in a spider web of AML questions where you have to prove the source of your funds plus other unrelated transactions from your wallet that happen to be visible on the blockchain. After you provide all this information that goes way into privacy territory you will keep getting "please wait" responses if at all. I initiated legal action as this seems according to many other victims to be the only way to get the funds released.

Changelly has been holding approximately $500,000 of my funds for over 10 months despite successfully completing their KYC process. They've ignored my repeated emails and messages, instead making absurd and irrelevant demands that have nothing to do with the transaction or proving ownership. I've even offered to sign using the wallet that initiated the exchange to prove I am the rightful owner, but they continue to stonewall me. Their refusal to resolve this issue or even communicate properly is unacceptable. I strongly urge everyone to avoid their platform.

I made a swap on Changelly for 1.******* BTC on 26th July, but it got flagged for AML compliance. They asked me to complete selfie KYC via Sumsub on 18th August, which I submitted. A few weeks later, on 15th September, they requested proof of funds, and I provided it right away.
Since then, it's been a total headache. I've sent over 20 follow-up emails (every 3-4 days), but all I get are generic responses with no real progress or updates.
It's now 23rd November, and I'm still in the dark about my funds or the status of the swap.

Be cautious with this provider! I initially exchanged a smaller amount for testing, which went smoothly and quickly. However, when I tried to exchange a larger sum, it was held with a "suspicious" notification. The coins I sent both times were from the same address and are 100% clean. I then completed a verification with my ID, yet they keep asking for more information, which I am trying to provide, but the money is still not being released. The support team also won't tell me when it will be released.

Be careful with this website, it may be a scam! I exchanged 500 USDC through 3rd party exchange comparison platform. It turned out that the platform did not show that I had to send USDC Native, instead of Bridged, as I did. I contacted Changelly support, who stated that they need a $100 fee from me to recover the funds. I sent them the $100, and for over a month, I have not received a refund of my 500 USDC!
Support keeps replying that they are working on it. Instead of recovering my $500, I lost an additional $100. In total, $600 has been withheld by Changelly for over a month. Beware of them!

They wont refund me after taking my coins. I complied with their KYC but they said it wasn't good enough. So they will be keeping the coins.
