Had been trying on helmets for a few months. A crew member at Canoga Park store was helping me. He got an Arai XD- 5 down. I tried it on and was very impressed with its comfort. But $850. To $1000. When I saw the Cosmic on sale for $600., that sealed the deal.
Fast delivery great customer service unfortunately the lead at 5.5 was so tight I couldn't zip it up. I wear an excel and everything and can still fit into a large, but this has the angle zipper on the side made it extremely difficult to zip up, even if it wasn't too tight
The delivery took a really long time. And the communications set. We're somewhat confusing. When I got a delivery notice I assumed that meant that it was at the store ready to be picked up. It was not took another full 4 days for that to happen. Seemed like a lot of work just to get a t-shirt.
My spools I wanted for my sport bike weren't at the store level as my bike is older model, but they shipped quickly to the store for me to pick up. Very satisfied.

But they were unable to execute on check out for "corporate" reasons. I should have walked until they figured it out and risked the sale. I got 20% off on one and 10% on the others on about a $2000 purchase. They should meet what they offered. I move on.

Ordered a new chain and a set of tires for my dirt bike. I had them delivered to the store and the tires mounted there. Great service. Tech is very helpful and friendly. He worked hard to get my tires to me quickly and mounted great.

Bought 2 Tourmaster armored riding jackets, a "Highlander", and an "ADV Lite Waterproof". Love them both. Fit very well (and I'm 6'5" 220 lbs). Both priced very fairly (bought them during a Black Friday sale)--$320 for the Highlander, $170 for the ADV Lite WP. Haven't ridden in them yet, but will once the riding season starts back up again. The only issue I had was the ADV Lite WP jacket elbow pad pockets are sewn into the sleeves WAY TOO HIGH up the sleeves. Too much of the armored pad is ABOVE my elbow vs. BELOW my elbow, where it belongs. NOT a Cycle Gear issue. A TOURMASTER issue. Gonna try to move it (by wither moving the armor pocket or sewing a new one in. If I didn't love this jacket as much as I do, I would have just returned the jacket. But this jacket is lightweight, waterproof, full of zippered vents (including the zip-off sleeve zippers--can be partially opened up a bit to get some air on my shoulders when needed). I also like the covered open vents on the backs of both jackets. Don't have to stop riding to zip up the (exposed) exhaust vents (how most jackets are designed, with vents on the back of most jackets) when it starts raining.
Quick and easy on line ordering experience
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
