HORRIBLE SERVICE ALL AROUND. The service is inconsistent. I had one technician come out and performed the service and I didn't notice a difference with the issue I was having. The second technician came out and I noticed that a few steps were done that were not performed the last time. After that the service went back to not being done as thoroughly. No one was home when the last service that was done so they just did the front walkway. NOTHING INSIDE THE HOUSE OR THE BACK YARD! I was fed up with Aptive and emailed them to take the last payment and cancel. Common sense tells you half the work was done so half the payment should be paid. A few weeks later I get a letter because my account had been sent to collections. I called and was told that they didn't take the payment because my account had been closed. I had clearly stated to take the payment and cancel so I did my part to make sure no loose ends were left. Why am I in collections when they dropped the ball. The representative I was on the phone with said she had talked to a supervisor and was told to take the account off the collections list but I still had to pay the amount for a full service. I don't know if Aptive is aware but charging for services that were not performed is wrong and UNLAWFULL. There is many other pest services out there so do no and I repeat DO NOT use Aptive. It may cost more but it will avoid headaches and stress!
Lies, Lies, Lies! Hard pressure sale with lies. 1 all your neighbors have joined, Lie! 2 It will only cost you $300/year if you sign a 2 year contract, Lie! The cost is $200/month with a minimum of $2400.00 over 2 years, and they don't kill the bugs. Mosquitoes got so much worse. The only thing they killed were bees and butterflies. Absolutely no value for the money spent. Horrible customer service with no care or concern for how the service was sold and the lies the salesman told. They deserve zero stars. Big cancellation fee, $200 Just slam the door when they come.
Signed on with Aptiva with the goal of removing or controlling ant issue in house. 5 service calls at $159.00 per visit over a period of about 8 months. Company had a 8am to 4pm appt schedule. Every single visit the tech would show up 4pm. My wife who doesn't work would spent the entire day waiting. We tried to reach out to company to tried to provide a narrower appt window with no response. Horrible waste of time. It was always impossible to cancel or reschedule an appt. We would submit our request via text. They never responded, next thing we know we where getting Ring alerts. Tech was at the house even after requesting a change or cancellation of service. Sometime they would even proceeded with treatment even with no access to the kitchen area and rear of house with ant issue. Yet they would still send a bill. Ant issue was not resolved after spending around $800.00 for pest control services. I finally had a friend recommend an online product call InTice. Product worked perfectly at $2.29 per treatment. Requested cancellation of service. Then finally the text message started to be returned. What a joke this company is with horrible customer service and product that didn't resolve my ant issue. Please avoid the company. I plan on contacting Angie's List and the BBB to file a complaint
Quarterly service is every 3rd month but they REPEATED "tried" to come every 2 months. A different person every service. After the first 6 months I put my foot down - EVERY 3 months! Got it! I ended after the contracted NUMBER of services (8) in 21 months. Done! Go away.
They think everyone is as stupid as their "leadership" team of liars and worse. STAY AWAY or bait them into a lawsuit! You be rich! Bunch of a-holes. Avoid!
I was scammed into signing a contract for services I did not need. Now I need to pay $288 to get out of a contract. I had 1 treatment to my house and yard that did nothing.
A young man, with plain white shirt using a white 2-wheeler, went door-to-door to sell pest services at $49 "now" or $399/year. Would not produce a business card, name of company, or his name. 2nd young man appeared, with 1st young man, later in day in our neighborhood wearing green t-shirt with "Aptive" on it, but still would not provide business card or their names. BBB.org "revoked" this business with grade F- for numerous complaints of non-compliance or no service after $ paid. Another website shows Aptive agreed to pay settlement with AG's office in PA for fraudulent business practices. Buyers beware & DONT answer front door if you do not recognize person. AND DON'T do business with these door-to-door solicitors, including Aptive Environmental (pest services).
Never buy from a door to door salesman! I thought I was signing up for a six month contract and six payments. It seems I misunderstood the the contract! Really? The contract is confusing. I supposedly signed up for a twelve month contract and endless payments! I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General! Active Pest is not honorable or reputable! I will add he service employees are always nice and thorough. I asked not to renew again with him and he said ok! He was also ignored! Senior citizens should never trust anyone!
Scheduling is pathetic. Apparently you have to give up 4 hours of your life for every appointment. Contact always leads to unhelpful computerized calls followed by agents that speck English so poorly that everything has to be repeated 3-4 times. Service people do great. But their support coordinating their work will kill this company. Recommend employees to leave before company dies.
I thought I'd try a new company outside of this area and gave them a try. They say they waive the $199 fee but when I called to cancel because the technician that came out to my home stated that he was inside my home when he actually wasn't. I was home inside the house sick in bed and no technician ever entered my property. Now they have me collections for $199! Shoppers BE WARE!
You need to be home and watch these people. They won't do their job and you will still have the problem you hired them for so they can keep your business! I have in our file to bait the mice boxes but they still continue to not to do that we have had them for over a year and have mice. They are not monitored when they are out doing your home's so they will not do the things you ask for. It's like job security for them. See them many times on my cameras of them just going around and dusting for cob webs and just leave afterwards. I have called many times and nothing gets resolved. Hire a another company if you want your pests gone! My cat does a better job than aptive!
We had our regular service scheduled for 12/14/23. I just happened to be working from home that day. Normally the Service "Professional" will text when he's on his way but this time he just showed up. He didn't come to the door to let us know he was here so I just decided to watch. He sat in his truck for about 14 minutes. He finally took the brush out of his van just long enough to take a picture of him holding it up to the eve. He put the brush away and got back in the van. After about 8 minutes he left. He then sent a summary (see video description) of everything he supposedly did and tried to charge our card $174. Unfortunately he didn't know we have cameras that captured the whole thing (https://youtu.be/jnbdUiJ1kyc). I was able to cancel my contract after this but this is the same "Professional" that "treated" our yard the past 3 times so who knows how much money we wasted. Be VERY careful of who you trust to do service for you. Keep a good eye on them to make sure you're paying for the services you are receiving.
Bobby was wonderful! Best service I have ever had. He was so thorough. I would like to request him for all future service if I can.
Huge ripoff! 100% do NOT recommend. You'd be better off buying a spray off of amazon and spraying your house yourself.
Their sales rep initially said that I could try 1 service to see how it worked. Then when they showed up to do everything said I could only sign for a year contract. They have a $199 cancellation fee, so I was very hesitant about signing. But the sales person assured me that if the service wasn't working, they wouldn't charge it to me. They then did the service, removed spiderwebs, sprayed inside and outside. Gave me some cheap crappy fly catcher blue light plug in. I noticed their spray killed 1 roach, and made some outdoor spiders actually come inside the windows. The second time the came, they only sprayed outside. I tried their service for 2 months, mainly for the spiders. I still have tons of spiders and spiderwebs. I called to cancel, because $684 a year, or $57/month, is too much to spend on a service that doesn't work, especially for a single mom… and of course, I had to pay $199 to cancel because their sales rep just spouted off a bunch of lies to get me to sign. Now I'm a single mom, out over $300, that still has a bunch of spiders.
I rarely write negative reviews. The service is sub par. Still have not been able to resolve issues with ants for the last year. I realized they were overcharging me instead of $110 per quarter they were charging that amount every 2 months or less. I asked them to resolve the issue and the were unwilling. Beware of this company
Representative came by my home in Missouri City. I sign up services for 1 year to fine out he put it in for 2 years. Aptive treated my home outside. I started to see black worms crawling everywhere, I call the Representative back and yes he sent someone out. My yard was treated again for $162 dollars. I understand the outside treatment...but when are you going to treat the inside? Aptive have came to my home and treated the outside several times and still never treating the inside? I called and the Representative stated I have to request for the inside to be treated. What the hell! You are a pest control company that keep charging me $162 to treat my dam grass? Totally not satisfied with Aptive.
I had a dispute for service not rendered and they sent me to a collection agency after two months. I took off work to be at home for the pest service because I needed them to spray the inside and the tech texted that he was 30 - 45 minutes out but never showed up or bothered to text back to tell me he was not showing up. After that I got a text saying the service was completed. This company is HORRIBLE and I will never EVER do business with them again!
Chris came out to treat my soffit for bees. He was very thorough and an exceptionally nice person. He assured me if the problem is not resolved someone will be back to treat the area again until they're gone. I am very pleased with the effort so far.
I've been with Aptive for a couple of years now and have been happy with the service. They let you know well in advance when they are coming and again that day. Their techs introduce themselves, are friendly and professional. Darius today was great.
I have been a customer for a few years and they show up on time and always make sure to check in just incase more needs to be treated. I recommend them highly.
Brandon was great! He was very professional and listened to our concerns. He was very knowledgeable about pest control and did an amazing job at targeting all the areas we were concerned about. I would highly recommend Brandon and Aptive Pest control.

Answer: My experience was the exact opposite of these. Everyone I've dealt with was very courteous and polite. They arrived on time, did exactly as they promised, and I have absolutely no complaints or reservations about continuing my service with them.
Answer: Yes, they are proactive in protecting honey bees! I had a large bee colony under my shed that I had removed from a bee remover/cultivator company. Aptive treatment actually occurred a few days after their removal and tech informed me that Aptive does not have appropriate licensing for bee removal, therefore they leave that to bee professionals.
