Ordered a Lady M cake for Father's Day. It should have arrived on 6/17 Friday. However it was delayed for 3 days and arrived on 6/20 Monday.
At the time of arrival, the cake is no longer frozen and is damaged. It is support have dry ice in the package but there is nothing left. The dry ice bag is empty.
I e-mail the customer support (the only way you can contact them), a automatic reply told me they will get back to me in 24-48 hours, However, after 3 days still didn't hear anything from them. Not even mention, Goldbelly actually charged more shipping fee than the Lady M website. Also, on Goldbelly website they pointed out all sale are final which means you will never get a refund if something went wrong. It is my most frustrating and disappointing online shopping so far. Poor customer supporting and terrible logistics services.
My sister, who has successfully used various Goldbelly vendors, sent me their lox, bagel, cream cheese selection for my birthday. It is sent from Utopia Bagels in Whitestone NY. Everything inside the box arrived warm, to the extent that I felt eating warm lox, by then slimey, was probably not smart. There were two very small bags of freezeable liquid that had totally thawed. The bagels were fine, but unremarkable. Box was sent "next day air saver". So assuming food was in the box for two days in warm weather, with tiny cold packs, it's no wonder everything arrived warm. After informing Goldbelly my sister was told to send specific photos of box, food etc. which we did. Goldbelly informs they can not send replacement items. It appears she may get a reund. Goldbelly lox, bagels cream cheese through Utopia Bagels, not a good idea.
After placing an order for a Birthday gift and selecting the day of delivery I did not receive the package. It was delayed over 5 days after leaving the manufacturer and perishable and Goldbelly says it's out of their hands once its shipped, then who is responsible? I'm out significant amount of $$ and received a spoiled gift. ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK since Goldbelly does no standby anything

Ordered pizzas. Got them today and packaging was horrible and 3 pizza's were smashed on one side. My mom ordered lobster rolls and soup. The buns were a joke about a inch wide. Wrote customer service and all Seth had to offer to me was it looks right in the pictures you sent. Buyer beware customer service doesn't care. Should of never strayed away from my taste of Chicago for my pizza's. Sad that between the two orders we spent over 200.00

I ordered a wedding cake through Goldbelly. It was shipped with 1 small dry ice package and by the time my order was received it was a melted mess! I reached out for a refund and was told that due to their policy they could not refund me. They were willing to ship me another melted mess but not return my money for a damaged product. I am very disappointed and feel duped. Never again will I purchase through this company. I will make sure all my friends, colleagues, and family are warned as well.

An error on their website caused a duplicate order, they were notified immediately, but refused to credit the money back. They sent generic replies then refused to credit me for their error. I called them 4 times, emailed them for a week until they finally refunded me. Also, received a stale, tasteless, skimpy, and poorly filled cake that had been frozen for a very long time. Cakes Do lose flavor if frozen for many months or it was tasteless before being frozen. It didnt look anything like the picture they showed, that is called false advertising and is against the law. It didn't have ANY flavor and I threw it in the garbage. I have filed a claim against them as they refuse to credit me for the defective cake. I would never order from them again.

As the shop had already prepared and shipped these orders, we were not able to cancel one of them. As a one time courtesy, we did credit you for the cake you sent us back. We made the mistake of ordering cookies from Goldbelly.com horrible cookies horrible customer service. What a scam. The cookies are obviously frozen and thawed they have that bad aftertaste. Even without this you can tell that these are over marketed. These are horrible cookies represented as Gourmet.
This company is a scam. They block reviews on google for their company because they know they are a scam. They only post positive and made up reviews on their companies listed. The food being ordered is made under license and is horrible and falsley represented.

Was a long-term customer. Order arrived for passover- day before- missing brisket and potato pancakes- would only refund amount for those items, stuck with useless gravy and applesauce and told cannot ship until 19th, yet seder is 15th. Filing complaint with BBB and Credit card company. Buyer Beware- this site has become a scam.

Buyer beware - if the package comes hot or damaged, in no circumstances will goldbelly refund you. They will only provide a credit to your account.
Update: they only refunded once I told them about my cancer diagnosis. So if you have cancer, they will refund you.

I bought a cake for my mother's
81st birthday last year. It was the most I ever spent on a cake. It was worth it she loved it. So this year I told her I would get the same cake. She was very excited. I ordered the cake on March 3rd. We picked a later date then was offered. We had chosen March 11th. On the 11th I got a email saying the cake would arrive by March 16th. It was still out for delivery.
That means we were getting a old cake. 5 days after the birthday party. We called customer service. Their solution was send a new cake. Or credit. NO REFUND!
Why would I order again? They tried to send me a old cake. 5 days after a the event. I will never buy from them again.
Beware once the cake leaves the factory. It's on you. They don't care what happens from there. As I was told by the the rep. " We are not responsible for perishable products one we ship them". Thank you Goldbelly for all your help.

My daughter has had a very difficult year after coming out as gay. We ordered a rainbow cake from Goldbelly from Carlo's Bakery to celebrate her 15th birthday. I ordered the cake to arrive March 5th. We had a dinner scheduled for the 6th. I was concerned after tracking the order as I saw it was in Kentucky for over 24 hours. Customer service said there wasn't anything they could do. I contacted them when the order was a day late, they offered me $15 off my next $50 purchase. I contacted them again on the 7th after the cake arrived warm and 2 days late, this time they offered to reship but again didn't take responsibility. I am over it. I just want the refund at this point. We found another way to celebrate her.

BUYER BEWARE: Read their Return Policy prior to purchasing as they are not responsible for anything whatsoever. I ordered (2) whole chickens from Hattie B's and received 24 wings instead, at the same time I ordered 4 qts of banana pudding from The Puddery that shipped via Fed Ex on a Thursday and we did not receive it until the following Monday. The Web site states to eat the pudding within two days and also keep refrigerated which was clearly impossible since it was in a Whse somewhere in Texas.
While the wings were Great! And tasted just like the chicken we had at the Original Hattie B's in Nashville it was not what we ordered. Gold Bellys response was to send pictures as they wanted to let their partners know of the mistake. They also did not mention anything about the delay in shipping the pudding.
The short version is they are just a shipping house that orders and has their business partners ship the products. Its a great business model because they are responsible for absolutely nothing except collecting their check and protecting their margins. If their is a mistake or delay you will be Out of Luck and have no chance on getting the issue resolved.

I have found that if you do not order the minimum from each seller they represent, you do not get the benefit of free shipping for the total.
They don't tell you this when you buy a gift card.

I ordered my first goldbelly dinner and unfortunately it arrived late via FedEx and was defrosted. The rep Mariah was great she helped me to get a credit and get everything situated. Even gave me some restaurants tips. I ended up getting food from Blue Ribbon and it was the best fried chicken I have ever had. Came on time and my family enjoyed it.

I carefully selected two bakeries for cupcakes and a cake for my daughter's birthday to make sure they could be delivered in time. The good news is that the cupcakes arrived and were good, not amazing, but I don't fault goldbelly for that they were definitely good if overpriced.
However it is now three days after the birthday and the second cake still isn't here. The tracking shows no estimated delivery date i. E. it wouldn't ever have arrived even if it had shipped the day I ordered it. We learned from Goldbelly customer service that the cake hadn't been sent late on the morning of the birthday party via email. I didn't see the email until a few hours after it came in and asked if the order could be canceled as it wouldn't have any value coming after the birthday party. EIGHT hours late, I received a reply. While the customer service person used sympathetic sounding phrases, ultimately the message was, gosh darn it, sucks to be you. She made it abundantly clear that Goldbelly takes zero responsibility for WHEN anything ships or what happens to it after that. To be clear, the item which said it could be delivered wasn't shipped until the afternoon of the day it was supposed to arrive.
Given that Goldbelly's entire business model is predicated on the idea that people can have special food shipped across the country for events, dinners or whatever, that's a pretty craptastic customer service model. I had been planning on ordering 200 buffalo wings from anchor bar for the superbowl but who knows when it will arrive and I know now that I (and you) have zero guarantees from Goldbelly.

We do have to rely on our partner shops and carrier partners, which is why estimated delivery dates for this very reason. We do hope the cake could be enjoyed after the event. We always recommend ordering for estimated delivery in advance in case there are any delays. For example, if you have a party on Friday, we recommend ordering for a delivery window earlier that week between Monday and Wednesday, as many of our products are shelf stable, or able to be stored in the freezer or refrigerator. We do hope you give us another try in the future!
Ordered Mochi(Japanese desert pastry with ice cream) on Monday from bakery in New York (Tomolo). I was informed of shipping delay and won't be there for atleast a week. Still don't have it and knowing the shelf life, it will be bad before it arrives. Ordered for my niece's birthday. Colossal fail. Btw, they don't guarantee their products. Will not order again!

The cheese container for my cheese steaks broke open in delivery. They will refund the cheese but as for the ruined CHEESE steak sandwich I'm out of luck. I would have never paid 78$ for steak and bread sandwiches. Profits over service, keep away from them

Overrated- the filling is good but the crust is like concrete. I grew up in Queens, north of Brooklyn and had many pizzas far better than this, and at half the price. Don't waste your money.

Occasionally a delivery is missed. This is understandable. How a business reacts is the measure of a good business. UPS said they attempted delivery. This is blatantly untrue. Especially when we are sitting there and watching the truck pass us by! Goldbelly has not agreed to refund or credit this order. They said a missed delivery isn't their issue. That we could eat lox and bagels after 5 days in a shipping box in 70 degree heat. WOULD YOU! My question is: that how a good business runs? Pls offer your opnions

Answer: They aren't necessarily a scam, but very poor customer service policies. If anything goes wrong with your order, like it did with mine, they just blocked me from their Facebook page so I couldn't leave a review. It's just luck if your order arrives and looks as you would expect and if it doesn't you are out of luck. Just contact local bakeries or restaurants and have them deliver for you, no reason to pay Goldbelly and have a third party who cares nothing about your order throw it around in the back of their truck and deliver it trashed. Goldbelly is unscrupulous and a big risk of wasted money.
