Most of these 5 star reviews must be bots or paid. Food selection is fine, but terrible customer service. I had two of my meals delivered without the protein and HelloFresh would only give me credit for them, no refund. On top of that, i can't even use the credit (which is MY money) until my next non-discounted delivery, which would be after I buy 50 more deliveries! I was so upset, and after expressing my frustration… they were able to refund me $25. I spent $61 that week for 3 meals, only received 1 because of their mishap, and got compensated for $25. That doesn't even cover half of my purchase! I essentially paid $36 for 1 meal and some extra seasoning that I'll never use. Ended up canceling my account because the way HelloFresh run their business is unethical. Their subscription service scams you into signing up where you'd only get discounted on your first box, and unless you're careful, they will be quick to send you your second delivery the next week at full price. And if they screw up on your delivery and forget to include the main ingredients… good luck trying to get your money back despite it being their mistake. I paid for food that I never received and couldn't even get a full refund.

Just started using Hello Fresh. Have received 5 meals. Unfortunately 2 of them are missing ingredients. The "fresh" veggies are pathetic. Repeated calls don't get a response.
I have been a customer of Hello Fresh for about 3 years. I called the company to suspend my subscription for 3 months while I was away. For some reason Hello Fresh began charging me for meals 3 weeks before my return. My neighbor who has been bringing in my mail and checking for packages says that there have been no deliveries from Hello Fresh yet the company charged my credit card. I called Hello Fresh and although it acknowledges that I called to suspend the service for 3 months, it says it does not accept suspensions for that long of a period so the subscription automatically restarted. Yet the boxes did not arrive! The company has refused to credit my account and I have now permanently canceled my subscription. I have heard of others who have had similar problems.
We received 4- 75.00 gift cards. When I tried to place an order, to use them, I had to sign up first, with a credit card. I then tried apply all four gift cards. It would only allow me to do one. I called the customer service representative and he told me that normally, only one could be used at a time. He said that he could apply a second one and that we should order 4-2 person meals, for two weeks. We should only be about 3.00, out of pocket for each week. He also said that I should then cancel the membership and get another one in a few weeks, to use the other gift cards. He said he would cancel my membership for after the first two weeks. Instead of receiving one week's worth of food, they sent both weeks. I also saw that I was charged 95.03 on my credit card. I have just spoken with a customer service representative and was told that because he had the food sent in one week, rather than two, that they could only apply one gift card, thus the charge to my credit card. I would love, more than anything, to recommend this company. I know that the people, who sent the gift cards, was trying to think of us while we are going through some major medical issues. Unfortunately, instead of being helpful, this company has caused me to spend much time and effort to get this resolved. I will be contacting the BBB.
In order to view the recipes you have to add your credit card information before hand as I reviewed I did not see anything that interest me. I canceled my membership and requested no deliveries the next day there's a charge of 5125 on my bank account stating that I did place an order, and it will be delivered by June 9. I called customer service sent them proof of cancellation and they said they are sending me their choice and charging me for nothing that was in my cart and that I canceled they will not refund me. They were arrogant. Customer service was not helpful even though I emailed the girl proof and then she disconnected with me while she was looking into. It called back spoke to another customer service person. She was extremely rude told me I had three days from the day that the order would be shipped. I canceled within 15 minutes as I looked into it, but because they had my credit card information, they took it upon themselves to place an order and send me unknown food that I not requested and will not return or refund me. This is a scam I would watch out.
The menus offered are overloaded with salt, carbs, and fat. And the selection of vegetables is pretty awful. It's the same kale, zucchini, carrots, and green beans, and potatoes day after day after day. There is sour cream in practically everything because evidently they think it's the proper ingredient to make a sauce. I wanted mediterranean dishes. But what they call mediterranean and what your cardiologist calls mediterranean are not in the same ballpark. So no. I don't recommend it.
This is a subscription scam. When you try to cancel they still send you food and charge your for it. I cancelled through website, sent them and email and called them on the phone. And yet, I still received a meal kit that I had to pay for. RUN AWAY
You have to checkout before you can select meals and then you see that there are only a few meal options to select from unless you pay more per portion. I immediately cancelled my order and was still charged for it, they then selected meals for me with ingredients i am allergic too then refused to cancel the box. They offered a credit amount and when i accepted they changed that to a lesser amount and refused to change any meals to remove the ingredients i am allergic to. They then said its on the customer to know how the company works and that you cant cancel your first box.
I signed up for Hello Fresh through the TMobie discount APP offers $45 off the first order. The Hello Fresh APP isn't the best designed, in fact, the layout is very confusing on purpose so you spend more money. However, I selected my food and paid $165 for the week. The following day I was charged again $20, and then again $15. I tried to instant message, but their site was down, so I called Hello Fresh customer service. I was told I didn't read the small print and these were extra charges. I said I wanted to cancel the whole order that was 5 days away. The customer care representative informed me that the shipment was packed, and they could do nothing. Again, she referred me to the small print. How is Hello FRESH, "fresh" at all? I had only ordered the food 12 hours before this call. I am so disappointed in TMobile for recommending this company, and I don't care how good the food it... this is about customer service and feeling conned. I would NOT recommend you read the small print... instead, go shopping yourself and get some real FRESH food.
I never received an email to update the box within the 5 day time frame to cancel/skip. I was automatically charged without notice; no receipt stating I got charged for the monthly subscription. I found out whenI looked at my bank statement. If you choose the premium box it's an extra $8.99/per person, additional to your current box. I got double charged, NOT for the actual total I originally agreed to before shipment. Cancelling is pain because they give you some dumb excuse to try to give you more credit or upsell you to stay with them. (It has to be life threatening situation to be considered for refund/cancelled during the shipment process) I was also lied to from their everyplate company. I was supposed to get credit in my HelloFresh account because I closed my everyplate account. I was told they can't transfer the credits although they're sister company…
I fell for one of Hello Fresh's bait and switch $3.97 per meal for 3 meals introductory offer on May 19th. Then after entering my credit card information to give them a try, they told me I had to schedule the 3 meals out over the next 2 weeks out through June 6th. We are leaving for our summer home on May 31 and only one of the meals could be scheduled before we are leaving. So I tried to schedule the meals to arrive before May 31 and could not do so, only push the deliveries out in time. Then a Cancel My Order screen came up and I did so on May 19th.
Then May 22 all three meals show up in one box! I tred to contact Hello Fresh and found that they had charged us $24 with $55 pending. They would not cancel the the 2nd delivery but agreed to cancel all future deliveries. We contacted our credit card company and put in a dispute for all the money $24 +$55.
Then today May 27the 2nd meal delivery arrived! We do not want their food delivery service and have learend that they are crooks. Please help us get our $79 back and help us make everyone aware of how dishonest and crooked Hello Fresh is.

I cancelled my order twice and they reinitiated the subscription withput my authorization. They sent me foods they picked out and delivered while i was on vacation! The food spoiled sitting outside and were things i would NEVER order. I called them and they were rude, condascending talking over me, and reluctant to take responsibility. Their food also stinks! I WILL NEVER EVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN. Total AS*HOLES.
My issue was I had to start a subscription complete with my payment method to even browse the meals and pricing plans. I have picky eaters so I wanted to see if it would even be worth I to use their services. Well, it's not. Signed up only to cancel within 5 minutes. ZERO STARS.

I had was supposed to have a delivery on Saturday, but they brought me the box two days later, all the foods have gone bad and there was a horrible smell. I contact them they only refund me, that is all! That was the worst customer service ever!
Charged after canceling. Only subscribed for maybe 15 minutes then canceled because the menu is joke 40 meals that i would never ever eat in the first place. Refused refund cuz of cut off date which is BS. It was 15 minutes. I do NOT recommend. I hope to see these crooks go belly up and rot like the food they send. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Totally regrettable experience.

I like hello fresh, I really do, but their gift cards suck. They are very hard to use and trying to find your balance is near impossible. Put simply, avoid the gift cards because they are more hassle than they are worth!
Answer: I signed up and realised its a scam - your first order is only able to be placed 2 weeks away, meaning they get your money even if you use a coupon... and from other reviews they won't let you cancel. I just registered a voucher, saw the dates and tried to cancel... and can't - there is no "cancel" on their website
Answer: You will still have to pay for delivery and such because this company says those things cannot be covered by a gift card. Beware signing up, because they will subscribe you as soon as you enter credit card information. It is in their Terms and Conditions at the beginning of the process.
Answer: You're automatically on auto ship…any week you don't overtly cancel will get sent out and you'll get charged.
Answer: Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
