Trying to resolve a billing problem through the channels provided resulted in two hours of wasted time spent stating and being asked to restate my problem. Final answer was, "our system doesn't allow." Customer service should be used to address situations that don't conform to the norm. The company seems to do everything possible to avoid anything but a rigid approach to keep human interaction out of the mix.
I'm writing this to warn others about how iFIT handles warranty issues – particularly if you're not the original purchaser, even when the product is practically brand new and faulty. I received a NordicTrack X32i treadmill from a close friend after her farther sadly passed away not long after buying it. He did not register the machine as it was barely used – under 20 miles when I received it, and only around 31 miles in total now. It was purchased less than a year ago and has always been kept in pristine condition. Soon after I started using it, it asked for a software update. The software update resulted in the screen flickering and now is unusable. I contacted iFIT and provided everything they asked for: model/serial numbers, photos, videos, and proof of purchase from the original buyer's account. Despite this, iFIT refused any help because I wasn't the original purchaser, even though the actual owner is deceased and no one else can legally pursue the warranty. They will not allow me to register the product or receive any support. My friend was kind enough to send IFIT support an email with the original order confirmation email and invoice pleading for an exception given the circumstances – especially since: - The machine is well under a year old - The fault began after their own software update - There has been no misuse or damage - The product is known to be affected (as confirmed in a US class action: Balfour et al. V. iFIT Health and Fitness, Inc.) I was met with a flat refusal. This situation has made me reconsider whether we can continue with iFit at all. It's incredibly disheartening to feel unsupported after putting our trust into the brand. As things can't be put right, I now have to explore alternatives, such as Peloton or Technogym, even though that's not what I want. I would reluctantly be forced to resell the equipment, though I have serious doubts about finding a buyer, particularly given the complications surrounding ownership transfer, even though the products are less than a year old, have only double digit mileage, and are still under warranty. For a high-end product and subscription-based platform, this level of support is unacceptable. I've lost confidence in both the quality of the equipment and the integrity of the company. If you're thinking of investing in iFIT or NordicTrack, I urge you to read up on known screen issues and think carefully – especially if you're buying second-hand or gifting equipment. The warranty won't protect you, even in the most reasonable of situations. Product: NordicTrack X32i treadmill (model NTL*******) Issue: Severe screen flickering and touchscreen not working after software update; machine is now largely unusable Mileage: ~40 miles total Age: Under 1 year Warranty Refused Because: iFIT claims warranty is non-transferable, however the small print on the Sales invoice, clause (13) refers only to "the buyer" and makes no mention of "Original owner" or "Non-transferable" warranties. Evidence Submitted: - Proof of purchase from original owner - Serial/model numbers - Photos/video of condition and mileage - Video: Legal References and Precedents: - UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 protects buyers against faulty goods, regardless of manufacturer warranty - No clause in iFIT's published warranty terms explicitly states it is non-transferable - The issue relates to a known defect covered in the US class action settlement: If you want to dig deeper for FAQs, affected models, articles, Reddit discussions, and news: Console Settlement FAQ: bit.ly/3InJdWk Affected Models List: bit.ly/44oRdh9 ClassAction.org Article: bit.ly/4kd03o7 Reddit Discussion: bit.ly/4l0e7mc News Articles: bit.ly/40vyoHY
I have major concerns about this company and their customer service. I bought a NordicTrak 2450 treadmill back in 2021 and I'd be generous if I said it worked for a quarter of the total time I've owned it. The incline motor broke twice and needed to be replaced. There were issues with the speed of the belt following one of these repairs which I had to fight and complain before they would even acknowledge the engineer was at fault. He was by the way. And now, the console is fried and needs to be replaced. Essentially the machine is inoperable. Looking online, I see I'm not alone in this issue and it appears there is a class action lawsuit been filed against ifit for this "fault". I find this, together with their failure to respond to any of my correspondence deeply troubling and frustrating. I'm sure they're banking on me just walking away from this issue if they just ignore me for a while. The behaviour of this company is despicable and I hope they get taken to the cleaners. Avoid avoid avoid.
Absolutely love the treadmill and videos when it's working, but service plan is completely worthless and customer support does nothing to help. Contacted Ifit on July 23rd, 2024 for regular maintenance and never heard back. Contacted them again on August 4th, didn't hear back. Contacted them on August 21st because the belt quit working properly. Technician finally came on Sept 27th, but didn't have the right parts to fix machine. New parts came, but now the technician has completed ghosted me. Contacted customer service multiple times, and they told me that technician will not come back until he has more work in my area. Asked for a different technician and they said I was out of luck. Spent thousands of dollars on equipment, and then spent even more on their extended service plan, just to be told that they don't want to service it. Machine has now been down over 2 months and they still have no plan to fix it.
Ifit offers a service that to say zero is to say too little.
My Pro-Form 575i treadmill has had a broken belt for two months (bought last August, it was damaged in less than a year of life, paid £700 on Sweatband), however Ifit had the engineer arrive after a month with the wrong spare part so the appointment ended in nothing, adding that it would have taken at least 2 more weeks to report and order the damaged part. I'm calling ifit once a week and my machine is still there damaged and I can't use it. I spent a lot of money on a machine that is worth nothing and to have poor and useless customer service. Shame!
I opted out of a paid membership before my "free year" expired. That was two years ago. Last week I was charged $420 to renew it and sent a letter saying there were no refunds. This is outright fraud.
Nobody return their calls. 7 messages in a 1 1/2 week. Still trying to reach international sales rep for Proform and Nordic Track products. If only they would tell you "we don't want to sell to you at least we would know and not waster time". Their international sales director should get fired. Clearly unprofessional.
Nice way to treat potential customers
I registered for this membership with my new indoor bike from Sam's club. It says no longer valid? It was a benefit for the purchase? What going on? How could this happen? Can someone help me please?
Thank you
Julie Harrison
I currently have the S15i cycle bike and about 1 month ago my ifit program stopped working everytime I logged in it would say there was a problem logging you in so I reached out to customer support, I should mention that I contacted IFIT 7 times and have spent countless hours trying to troubleshoot this issue numerous times noone was able to resolve my issues their answer was our programmer is working on it call back in 24 hours, we'll that was just a scam to get me off the phone because they didn't know what to do. The final time I called I had asked to speak with a manager I got about 5 minutes into the call before the phone hung up and the supervisor didn't even call me back or send an email. I'm appalled at the way this is being handled i have a bike that I purchased and a membership that I can't even use and these people could careless about solving my issue.
I am very disappointed in iFit Customer Service. After owning an individual membership for many years, on November 17,2023, I tried to renew my individual membership (which expires in early December) and inquired via the chat feature. The iFit representative indicated I could renew my individual membership for two years for $254. I indicated that was acceptable and inquired how I should proceed. The Representative then said "the best option is to wait until my actual membership expired", and "this offer will be available until February 2024". On December 4,2023 I called the toll free number to renew my membership for two years at the $254 rate as described on the chat (which I had printed off). The iFit Representative indicated the $254 offer was no longer available and the best they could do was $180 per year (a total of $360 for two years). I protested and emailed the iFit Representaive a copy of the November 17,2023 chat transcript indicating that iFit should stand behind thier original offer and allow me to renew my individual membership at the promised $254 rate for a two year subscription. After being placed on hold several times and finally speaking to the iFit Representative's Supervisor, the Supervisor indicated that the company changed their pricing policy effective November 30,2023 and the two year subscription for $254 was no longer available. Obviously, I immediately terminated my membership.
It is truly disappointing that iFit will not stand behind their WRITTEN word and honor their offer to renew my membership at the designated terms. It is inconceivable how a company can operate under such unscrupulous methods.
Just don't buy from IFit. Just don't. They sell junk and don't help afterwards.
I bought a treadmill and got about three months use from it. My attempts to get it repaired taught me a lot. Turns out that they often give no more than 3 months warranty (ie useless), and when the motor goes, well, it burns outs the circuit board...and total cost of repairs are about the replacement cost of the treadmill.
Any attempts to get on to customer service means days of your time and...well, no service. They just want more money from you.
Truly. Just DON'T buy from these people. The products are poor quality and the service is worse
My Nordic tracks software wouldn't update. I tried everything before trying the help desk. They were back to me within 4 hours and a response. It required several responses but each time they were clear and helpful and eventually I got my treadmill to work again.
I've read negative reviews about the software and I can't understand them at all. I am so happy with the ifit software and most of the trainers
Make sure auto billing has been turned off! I have been charged for a full 12 month membership I don't even want. No reply from support trying to get a refund!
It is almost impossible to get a person on the line after they unauthorized charge my credit card for annual membership after I canceled service. Had to dispute with my credit card company.
Their product is bad and their customer service is the worst. The last 5 star review is from Nov 2021! And most of their 5 star reviews seem to be from the same period (Aug to Nov 2021)! This business should be banned, look at other review sites which show a much better picture of how bad their service is.
I had got their ifit subscription as part of the treadmill and I got charged $400+ for auto renewal which I disputed the day it was charged. They have a return policy of 30 days as per their site and finally confirmed by a call center rep when I got to them. Their support site has no email or phone #, had to hunt around in the internet to find them. No responses from customer services for weeks and finally when I got them they are refusing to refund the money now for a different reason! Stay away from the company and their products.
Bought a treadmill over a week ago and I've been trying to get a hold of support since then because of a missing part, they do not respond I am beyond frustrated! I want a refund now!
IFit advertised 1 year free membership with iFit on the box of the iFit product, but when I tried to activate the code it stated that it had already been used. So I tried calling the costumer service for support but after filtering through 8 minutes of a worthless automated system I was put on hold for 20 minutes to finally talk to a representative who after 10 minutes of trouble shooting hung up on me. So I called back for another 30 minute waste of time on hold before I got another representative who also did not end up helping me and told me they would have a supervisor call me back in 2 hours. So here I am 4 hours later with no call back from a supervisor so I am now boxing the product back up to return to the store since they would not honor the year membership of iFit or even bother to get back to me. No way is it worth high end of thirty dollars a month. I wouldn't pay 30 dollars for a year of this scam of a workout program.
Literally the worst product quality control and customer care experience. Purchased Pro-Form Sport RL from Costco two weeks ago. The slide deck and all components are missing for the seat to attach. Multiple attempts on the phone with no response or call back; multiple emails with no response; and, waited on chat with no response. I am going to return and let the seller know of the product and lack of response. Do not purchase.

Several years ago I bought an Elliptical Machine to stay fit, and it has IFIT for workout applications. You would log in to the IFIT server and the WIFI would transfer the workouts to my machine. Here is the problem, my machine will no longer support the newer software on IFIT and it is now making my machine obsolete. I was able to run the MAP workouts and the VIDEOS with no problems before. First, the LIVE workouts became unavailable, then the MAP-BASED WORKOUTS and the RECORDED VIDEO WORKOUTS became unavailable to my machine. Nothing works now. I lost the last month of workouts with IFIT and customer service was not helpful at all. They basically told me there was nothing they can do once my older machine software became outdated. So, I would have to buy a new machine to continue working out with IFIT. Now, the company might as well change its name to IFAT, because that is the position they are putting me in. These machines are very expensive and their answer would be for me to buy a new machine. They get you when they change their software. I will NEVER buy an IFIT machine any longer. Their customer service is useless just as well as IFIT is.
