I could always count on Mapquest until recently. Did it change ownership? Streets that have been there for decades are no longer recognized. I contacted Customer service via email and they added the street I needed but, still didn't come up with the directions to it. What's happened to this once great resource? It's now, virtually, useless.

Mapquest is identifying the address of our copany (delta market research inc. in Hatboro, Pa) as a company called Hatboro Water & Fire Clean up which is not registered in Hatboro pr PA. When this was brought to the attention of Mapquest, they stated they would "get around to it". I reported this to the police and to my local Senators and Representatives as I pay taxes something this sham company protected by Mapquest, AOL and its' subsidiaries knows nothing about.

I'm a very visual person. On the previously version you could click on a particularly tricky intersection and produce a map of that one spot and print it. Or you could zoom in on a particular section of your trip abs have that print out with the directions. Not anymore. You can only get the full view of the trip.if I'm traveling from Naples to a business in Miami I don't need a map of Florida telling me to drive east from the west coast.

Tried it after google maps lowered its contrast and was hard to see the streets.
I live in Zagreb, and mapquest simply does not work well there. It does not recognize streets that have been there for more than 50 years, etc...

Anyways, must look for something else.

A business owner friend said that she can pay Mapquest and they will give people directions that go past her business rather than directions in the most direct way to get to a destination. This certainly explains why Mapquest directions are TERRIBLE. Look up directions to a place in your city and see if they give directions the way you would go: Likely not!
And there is no option to customize a map to print. Even if I use the cursor to enlarge an area, when I go to print it gives the whole map, not just the area I want.
I dislike the new Mapquest intensely. I used to like and frequently use the old Mapquest, but the new version is focused on business (and business advertising), not focused on user preferences.

The old Classic Mapquest was great. The new version is unusable. When entering an address it constant; y tries to incorrectly "complete" your entry for you. There are constant Po-Ups to "help" you enter the WRONG addresses before you have a chance to enter the correct address. When trying to get directions from a current location, you have to start all over again and re-enter the old information EVERY SINGLE TIME. Each time it is a new battle all over again attempting to overcome all of the "help" features that do nothing but provide INCORRECT locations. It takes forever to Get ANYTHING done.

The old classic mapquest was quick, easy and efficient. This new system is unworkable. It does nothing but redirect everything to mapquest $ponsors. Strictly a sales tool. It is useless for finding directions or locations

I used map-quest for years. However I have stopped since the new version came out. It's not as easy to use and printing a copy is lousy. Overall just sucks

I used the old Mapquest all the time - the best site on the web for detailed directions. Let's face it - sometimes GPS screws up and I like to have an old school back up. The new site is a horror show. Not user friendly, basically a pain in the you know what. GO back to the better version!

Mapquest will not remove an incorrect phone number listed for my business unless we agree to make a monthly payment to them. Boycott Mapquest!

Frustrated by mapquest
September 6, 2016

Mapquest WAS my "go to" for getting directions. The site used to provide concise and accurate directions for any address I was searching but now it can't even find the location when I enter the postal code. I was able to start an address and if I had used that address previously the drop down offered it as one of the options that I could click on to complete the address but unfortunately that is no longer the case. What happened to Mapquest? I need to find a different on line map search option!

This is a classic example of taking something that worked well, and totally screwed it up. After trying for 10 minutes to get directions between the 2 addresses, and having the to address constantly changing, and insisting no matter what I entered, it insisted I was wanting an address in Toronto, even though the from address was in BC.

Totally screwed up. Star rating zero, had to select 1 to get this review to be submitted.

Bloated Horror Show
August 27, 2016

Why oh why did they have to complexificate and obfuscate and add idiotic advertising "sponsorship" to my every effort to navigate this dungeon of self-congratulatory asininity?
I can't modify my route any longer. I can't zoom to the location of my steps. Do they go to work and figure out ways to keep their jobs by endlessly screwing up everything? This is horrid.

THEY REFUSE TO GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK IF YOU CANCEL. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. I JUST WASTED $733. THE HOTEL WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY TO REFUND IT BUT THEY SAID THEIR HANDS WERE TIED BY THE THIRD PARTY (I. E. MAPQUEST / PRICELINE - NOT TOO SURE WHO THEY ARE.) GIANT, UNETHICAL, SWINDLE. I AM COMPLETELY DISGUSTED.

MapQuest WAS a very simple and helpful tool. I have no idea what has happened, but was impossible to get directions the last time I tried. Never will I try again. It's the pits!

I just asked mapquest for directions, but instead of finding the place I want, they suggest other places in other towns. Are they trying to throw business to their advertisers? I don't want to go to some random dentist, I need to get to the one I have an appointment with. Another time, it wanted to direct me to my starting location. Mapquest used to be fabulous, and I used it all the time. I think they have convinced me to forget about them. Its a pity.

I used to use Mapquest all the time - to route 20 sales calls a day. I literally was in tears one day with the new Mapquest because I spent over 4 hours since it would freeze or not reroute for me and I kept trying thinking I was doing something wrong! I couldn't believe it when they said the old Mapquest was going away because I knew it couldn't just be me having these problems and they had to fix the new Mapquest before getting rid of the Classic. But they didn't. I just tried for 10 minutes now to go to 1 location and can't. Too many problems! I'm not even complaining about the ads - I'm complaining because the system DOES NOT WORK! How can they not pay attention to the consumer? AOL - this was one of your saving grace, but not any more!
