The overall reputation of the company reflects a stark dichotomy in customer experiences. On one hand, some patients praise the advanced care and compassionate support received from dedicated staff, highlighting the clinic's strong medical expertise. Conversely, a significant number of reviews reveal deep dissatisfaction with the customer service approach, citing disorganization, poor communication, and a perceived lack of compassion, particularly in critical situations. Many customers express frustration over scheduling issues, inadequate follow-up, and perceived indifference towards patient needs, leading to a sense of disappointment and distrust in the clinic's commitment to care.

Dr. Robert H Thompson working at Mayo Clinic as a research Urologist did a brutal, diabeling, devastating surgery on me which made me disabeled with chronic pain. Students and residenst experimented on my. He did not show up on the scheduled apointment before the surgery. The 2nd year resident had no clue about the procedure and it possible complications. Mayo is the last hospital you want surgery. Mayo had over 2000 complains last year. All of them were ignored. Mayo gets paid by the number of organs the surgeon removes not by the diseas. Hovard University revied tha case: NO biopsy, not surgery was indicated. Normal live expextancy. Mayo CEO makes $3.47 million a year. You are totally ignored as Patient
Went here for help again so sick for a year. They didn't help and put me in a room and demanded to change into another outfit while security and employees laughing and intimidating me. They said they were going to lock me up and had to get another counselor to get out. Now sick and terrified of hospitals. I can't stop dry heaving and malnutrition and left like this.
I went to dozens of appointments for pudendal neuralgia. It put me out of the fire department for 4 months. Mayo would not sign my aflac short term disability paperwork. I was not able to pay my bills for I depended on that insurance. Mayo didn't even fix my problem. Thousands of dollars out of my pocket wasted. Thanks Mayo.
One of the doctor's that was treating my son was so rude and snobby! She shouldn't be allowed to work with kids or people! Mayo security do not talk to eachother, my husband was told its fine that he parked his van in the parking lot and sleep in it while i slept in the hospital with my son. At midnight mayo security and police were banging on the door and told my husband he couldn't stay there and move to a Wal-Mart parking lot. All mayo really cares about is money or if you have insurance! My son wouldn't have gotten to be a patient on the rehab side if out insurance wouldn't have gone through! If you don't have money or insurance don't bother!
On another note, The nurses here in the picu and general peds are absolutely amazing. They really were great with my son.
Mayo Dr Massimo Raimondo Killed My Father Leslie Herrin
UPDATE July, 2023 - The investigation by the Florida Dept of Health of Dr. Massimo Raimondo's errant biopsy that killed my father has now been passed to the FL Dept of Health Prosecution Services.
UPDATE MAY 2023 - Dr. Raimondo is now being INVESTIGATED by the Florida Department of Health for his errant biopsy that killed my father. Maybe some justice will be served and his family members can find some solace in the investigation outcome.
Important Update March, 2023 - Medicare Independent Consulting Medical Experts reviewed in detail my father's "treatment" by Mayo staff and the procedure by Dr. Raimondo for two services that meet their qualifications for review - 1) the errant biopsy and 2) pain management. For both services, the experts determined not only did both Raimondo and Mayo fail to meet Mayo's own self-promoted and publicized highest quality of health care, both grossly failed to meet even the the most basic/least/minimum standard of care - "did not meet all applicable professionally recognized standards of health care ".
June 14,2021, Dr. Massimo Raimondo performed what should have been a very routine Endoscopy Ultra Sound and biopsy of a small mass near my father's pancreas, they were 95% certain it was non-cancerous. Raimondo "accidentally" biopsied my father's repaired aortic aneurysm which caused bacteria to enter his bloodstream that quickly turned into sepsis and after 3 weeks of unbearable pain and a gradual, horrifying deterioration and loss of all bodily functions my father passed away in a local hospice with family by his side on July 12,2021. 4 other senior/lead Mayo doctors (Dr. Boniface, Dr. Mayo, Dr. Brumble and Dr. Roy) concluded in their Clinical Notes it was Raimondo's errant biopsy that caused my father's death.
Additionally - Mayo's 1) unconscionably poor communications creating a traumatic cycle of hope to despair to hope to... - e.g., the very first communication to my father and his wife of 65 years after admittance into ER following the errant biopsy was not a diagnosis nor a treatment plan from the doctors responsible for his "care", instead it was someone from Mayo's hospice group with a request for which hospice center my father should be sent to, then Dr. Mayo labels that communication premature and he would assemble a team to determine treatment, then Dr. Brumble tells the family the plan is to discharge Leslie tomorrow to hospice, then …. 2) inhumane pain management - e.g., my father was forced to endure multiple episodes daily that would last up to 4 hours of intolerable level 10 pain with elevated fever, heart rate and uncontrollable shaking for 30-45 minutes without pain medication being administered while awaiting an archaic and inhumane 6-step internal Mayo procedure to slow-walk its way through 4 different staff members. He could feel the episode coming on and we would beg the Mayo staff to start the process - to no avail. The staff's apathy toward his pain was reprehensible, and 3) the 3 doctors responsible for my father's care (Mayo, Brumble and Roy) completely abandoned him after week one of two weeks he spent in Mayo he** - e.g., not 1 of the 3 Mayo doctors made a single visit to see my father or speak to his family the second week after daily visits first week as they were certain his death was imminent and they wanted to distant themselves from a dying man... Mayo staff behaviors like these greatly exacerbated my father's physical pain and his family's emotional pain and resembled care one would receive in an underdeveloped 3rd world country with few resources and poorly trained staff.
Two pics included - 1) My father and his favorite activity - fishing - 4 days before biopsy, 2) My father curled up shaking and in pain holding onto hand rails - taken day leaving Mayo for hospice.
They won't see me- I told her it was life and death. She said "I don't know what to tell you, see a local doctor". And this is after I told her I've seen 5, including specialists. When you submit and get denied for lack of availability, they don't let you request again for 6 months. My question was "so people who are very sick request appointments, get denied, and have to suffer for another 6 months?" Her response? "Yeah, basically"
I am incredibly unimpressed at how little they care for the health of people reaching out who can't live their lives because of health problems.
No one there cares about anything except the money they get from filling the 12 week schedule. No waitlist, no help, no compassion, no actual healing for those who may actually be dying.
Literally: screw this place. I don't care if they have the best doctors, they are awful to potential patients. The ones scheduled and paying….that's another story. Healthcare is supposed to be there to fix the ill. They are not.
The Testosterone Enanthate should be injected at least Every 4 Days at 200-500 mg. To Treat low T Symptoms. Hormone compounds are Easily Temperature Damaged. Low Testosterone Levels can Not Treat Low Testosterone Symptoms.
Mayoclinic never showed you This.
It is discussing that Mayo Clinic only cares about someone's help for 3 months, then you get dropped from a waiting list. After this, you can no longer get an appointment. How does this possibly help a patient get care. As a patient, you are telling me I DON'T MATTER.
Is employed there. Does not respect women, mental health care, or professionalism. Do NOT see him there ladies. Flagrantly employing him by the Mayo Clinic is so unacceptable. He does not deserve the esteemed affiliation.
Statins are poison...a stubborn Mayo Doctor put my father on Statins, over 20 some years ago with no history of heart disease or diabetes. My Dad had problems from very start, muscle cramping and weakness. Mayo Clinic Doctor refused to take him off...just put him on different statins. Now on atrovastatin 20mg.
My Dad has statin induced permanent/ and or adverse condition could be directly linked (Documented Studies) to statins:
1. Hearing loss
2. Dementia
3. Can't speak full sentences/Difficulty in speaking
4. All over muscle atrophy
5. Difficult breathing/on oxygen last hospital stay first time ever
6. Can barely walk
7. Dying Liver
8. Non functioning Kidney
9. Frequent urinary infections that land him in the hospital
10. Gastrointestinal bleeding that land him in the hospital
11. Now Heart Problems
12. Shakes, constant fatigue
Mayo Clinic Dr. refuses to take him off of atrovastain 20 mg, even after family request.
Mayo Clinic Dr said no.
Statins are killing him and robbed him of 15 good years.
They took a perfectly healthy non-overweight man with just "pharmaceutical company determined" high cholesterol levels, poisoned him, turned him into a frail old man and robbed him of 15 years of his life.
My Dad's parents lived without statins Father 91 and Mother (over weight) 87 with diabetes and both could run circles around my frail Dad.
Statins are killing him and Physicians need to wake the hell up!.
Same goes for all Cholesterol lowering drugs...poisons.
Mayo Clinic/Mayo Clinic Medical School/text books & physician continuing Education, research hospital receives bulk funding from the Pharmaceutical Companies, NIH, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Etc.
Mayo Clinic's former CEO was also simultaneously on the Merck Pharmaceutical Board of Directors. Both former Mayo Clinic CEOs support the World Economic Forum as Health Partner Governors.
I need help diagnosing if my wife has a personality disorder. Mayo Clinic came up as the best rated source of such patient care. I filled out their mental health form and submitted it. They set up a phone consultation on March 16 at 9AM and reminded me by text 3 times. They did not call me and when I called them they told me they discontinued that patient care service in June of 2022! I see their reviews are very mediocre on Consumer Affairs. These are terribly incompetent, useless psychiatric services. Do not waste your time with Mayo Clinic. I guarantee you disappointment and in my case more damage to my already fractured marriage!
My spouse has been struggling from a progressive illness for 2 yrs. We really need a team of medical professionals to try to figure out what is going on, like what Mayo Clinic claims to do. 3 times we were denied. Not once were we given a reason and on 2 of the denials, we had to call them to find out because they couldn't be bothered to call us. We were told they needed records they already had. We were told 12 pages of documentation was just too much work to read through and they preferred things to be condensed to 2, and they were caught straight up lying about having a record of a doctor-to-doctor meeting. They also claimed to have sent us a denial letter on Dec 14th from their spine center, in response to a referral to the rheumatology department that had not been sent until the 15th. All I can really conclude from all of this is that Mayo doesn't actually want tough cases, they want easy ones so they can inflate their numbers of successes. That, or they simply don't want to treat trans people. Either way, they have no business working with vulnerable populations.
I've been dealing with ongoing constant headaches and wanted to come to a solution so my neurologist at USF referred me to the Mayo Clinic up in Jacksonville, FL. Going there was difficult for me seeing how it's a 3ish hour car ride but if it gave me the answers I was looking for, I'd be happy so I could be treated.
I first took the drive from Spring Hill to Jacksonville (over 3 hour drive) and went to Dr. Rozen and he thought I had hydrocephalus, which was worrying. I was then contacted by his office (a woman named Andrea) that I needed to go for a scan that could only be done at the Mayo Clinic. They told me that I needed to come immediately because they thought I could die. We were told that it was covered by insurance and to be there the next morning.
With traffic, it ended up being a round trip of 7 hours for a normal 15 minute scan that I could have done in my hometown of Spring Hill. After the exam, I was referred to Dr. Fermo, who is amazing. She diagnosed me with the proper diagnosis of pseudotumor celebri and ways to work on a remedy to the situation. After seeing her, I see a massive charge for the scan I did at Mayo Clinic that day.
I called Mayo Clinic several times asking for a resolution because we were misinformed by them that: 1) I might die if I don't get the scan and 2) Insurance covered this procedure. I don't work, I can't take care of myself, and rely on family to help me due to my condition... so seeing this charge was absurd. Getting there wasn't cheap either, so not only do I get billed in full for that scan, I needed to pay for expenses to get there and back for THEIR error. I repeatedly contacted them and tried to tell them my story several times only to be ignored and referred to the credit agency that my bill was sent to.
The worst part of it all: I can't see Dr. Fermo to treat me because of this billing discrepency. I've been told that unless I pay my nearly $3000 outstanding balance, I can't be an active patient there. I did nothing wrong and I'm being screwed over by a company that rather spend countless dollars on advertising telling people how great they are instead of dealing with their errors. I also loved how the Mayo Clinic was in network and was covered by insurance but was barely covered at all for visits as well (deductible was met).
To the public: if you're looking for a clinic to go to, DO NOT GO HERE.
I'm hoping with my public review, I can finally get some resolution with this because I've been getting the cold shoulder from the Mayo Clinic for a couple years now and I'm still desperate to see Dr. Fermo about my condition. Thanks.

Had back surgery at Mayo two years ago. The pain from the surgery was extremely intense, and the post surgery hospital care was horrible. I ended up with significant inflamation in my brain and brain damage as a result of my back surgery. Brain damage that a Neuro at Mayo said was NOT caused by the trama of the surgery even though Mayo has a research paper stating that brain damage can occure as result of the trama from surgery. Mayo is GREAT at testing, but I would avoid having any proceedure there or getting advice on next steps after the testing.
I never knew that a physician was able to with track their statement or follow up for examinations such as a MRI and Neurologist. How do doctors records become void? This physician TK openly acknowledged and stated that he only does what Worker's Compensation says to do. I've always believed that the physician had the upper hand. When did the physician become the puppet? He lied he's a hypocrite and I can openly say he has abandoned his oath as a physician and is not to be trusted. The good lord sees all in the righteousness in people. My opinion I would fear for my soul. After reading the doctors follow up review I can not believe he lied again. Do not trust.
Quite disappointed with the poor care, follow through, scheduling,...everything at Mayo Phoenix. They let my 33 year old daughter go 60+ days post relapse after a stem cell transplant for AML with nothing. The cancer went extramedullary and she ended up in ICU and eventually died there. So many issues with Mayo doctors-overall many condescending comments and lack of following. So many different doctors rotating and each not knowing what was going on, instead of one main physician. We wrote to the Office of Patient Experience (OPX) and this was just a sham. I would never go here!
Completely overrated hospital. Maybe the one in Minnesota is better but not here. My 4 year experience ended when my specialist's nurse filed a complaint against me while I was in pain trying to get the help over the phone that I was told by my doctor that I could get, but her nurse disagreed. She belittled me and chided me and I did not like that. How rude. My doctor did not seem to care and sided with her nurse most likely because they are hard to find and that hospital system let go 700 staff members over covid. That is my opinion but I was not going to be bullied. They do not answer their portal questions and they set me up for a surgery that the surgeon said I did not need... while I was on the gurney. Clearly, this hospital is not organized and thinks too highly of itself as it slides by barely keeping things together as it continues to focus on growth and revenue and not patient care. Patient experience is clearly powerless and is there distract you. Feels like a divorce but now I am U of F strong!
I always know when I go to Mayo I am getting the best most advanced care possible. The doctors have coordinated my care over multiple issues and show true compassion and caring. I will never go anywhere else,
I don't even know what to say. We're not made of money. We can't afford to see dozens of doctors in multiple countries and run every test imaginable. They made a series of mistakes that led to the death of three great men in my life that could have easily been avoided. This place is dishonest, disorganized, greedy, and cold. I should have trusted my intuition. It was screaming at me to leave and go somewhere else. "But it's Mayo Clinic!". Everyone "knows" how great Mayo Clinic is.
Maybe I should have mortgaged the house and traveled for their care. Now I'll never know. These last 3 years have been hell. I feel absolutely destroyed. I feel like my soul has been ripped from my chest. I wonder if these doctors take the Hippocratic oath as a joke, just so they know the best way to $#*! all over a person's life at the weakest point of his life.
This place is an absolute disgrace. DO NOT COME HERE.
I was referred to Endocrinology for abnormal thyroid levels. At my first visit, Dr. Charles Bingham stated that he hadn't brought his crystal ball to work that day and I was a complicated case. He then followed up with a thyroid biopsy and on my return visit said that it was benign for malignancy and that he would keep an eye on it and to follow up in 6 months. I had felt like crap for 6 months already and stated that I didn't think I could keep on feeling this unwell. I reached out to another endocrinologist at Oakleaf. Dr. Adkins instantly diagnosed me with a toxic thyroid and scheduled surgery. Within 24 hours of surgery, all my symptoms had subsided. I called "office of patience experience" and expressed my concerns. I asked where it stated that Dr. Bingham had recommended surgery. Shannon replied that it was under the assessment/plan section of my online Mayo portal. I have attached the plan section of my portal. The first DOES NOT state anything about a thyroidectomy. Miraculously, the second documentation has an ADDED section to it. So this my friends is how Mayo works! They cover their own butts and add notes to patients medical notes to cover their behinds. I'm not through until I get some resolve! Kim Loewenhagen
