MLB this year has been the most frustrating app I've dealt with ever and the worst app ever. Here it is the last game of the season the Boston Red Sox against Tampa Bay and the MLB app won't allow me to even load this app to watch the game while at the same time all the other games on the MLB app pop up with no problem. Called in several times and all I got was nothing but bogus answers. Last person said well it hasn't even been loaded up in the archives yet. Why would it be loaded in the archives when it's alive game broadcast. Such a disgusting way to end the season they don't deserve the fee that they're paying that I'm paying a service for. Add in the blackout games and all the other times the Red Sox were not able to be downloaded to watch this season resulted in a very very terrible terrible relationship going forward if there is any. Bottom line is MLB app sucks.
Texas has 2 teams, I pay to watch ALL the Yankee games but ALL the games with Houston & Rangers are blacked out. OK, but when Judge is about to hit the record-setting 62nd HR and the entire country gets it as the FREE game of the day, guess who can't watch it? Texas residents. Yankees-Astros go head-to-head for dominion, can't watch it. Whenever Astros or Yankees play in a nationally televised game - because of it's importance, guess who can't watch it? Texas residents. That sucks but not half as much as it sucks to watch the same stupid Snoop Dog commercial 16 x per game. All season long. That's not an exaggeration. It's not worth it to pay this sham company to watch games. From this point on I'll spring for the YES Network so I can watch everything.
I am so sick of having to relaunch this crappy app when the audio stream stops during game action. It never stops during the way to frequent ads!
A waste of $.
The Marlins customer service more than sucks. I accidentally purchased tickets to a Marlins game. I thought I was purchasing tickets to a Braves game in Atlanta where the Braves would be playing the Marlins in Atlanta. Instead the email confirmation showed the game in Miami. I immediately emailed the Marlins asking to cancel and refund. 48 hours later after calling them 38 times without an answer and emailing 6 times, and contacting MLB, the Marlins called back saying they refused to cancel and refund. I'm out $250. Their suggestion was to try selling the tickets myself. The game is 3 hours from now. They blamed MLB for not canceling and refunding. MLB said that is a team policy not a policy of MLB. So the Marlins are liars that take advantage of people. My only option is to file a dispute with my bank. So, I have done that. Oh I did ask to speak to a supervisor and their agent stated the supervisor was busy. I asked if I could leave them a voicemail, they said supervisors don't like voicemails. I asked if I could get the name of the supervisor, they told me they could not share names. Absolute crap service. No wonder they barely won any games this year. Chances are their entire organization are as idiotic as the people I dealt with.
I purchased tickets on Ticketmaster and the tickets showed up on the MLB app. The day before the event the tickets were still there. One day later when I went to the venue for the event the tickets had disappeared off the app. When I went to the box office they told me that the tickets were purchased with a fraudulent credit card and were revoked. While I was at the event I had been sent replacement tickets in my email. I replied that it was too late I already bought new tickets and I was already at the event. They said that I had opened the tickets and excepted them. I asked them to send me proof of that. They sent me an email accidentally showing another person excepting such tickets. I told them that was not my email and they said sorry here is the acceptance by you showing my email excepting the tickets one minute after the other person had supposedly excepted the tickets. Total fake emails. Total fraud. No refund by anyone - I lost $1200 for Elton John concert. I emailed the other person who also supposedly accepted tickets and they were defrauded by the same person. Do not buy tickets from third parties that will show up in the MLB app!
Subscribed for my husband and half the time the games were not on or blocked out. On top of that, they were ripping me off. Took double money out of my account and when I finally caught on, they refused to refund my money. Be aware.
We have had MLB.COM game feeds to three years. NEVER have we had a problem until this last two weeks when they changed their format and when the cut from the game during a commercial break we lose the feed. I have to start over again with the MLB.COM app, find the game again, and usually we miss about 1 to 2 minutes of the game after play has been resumed since the commercial break. If they stay with a NATIONAL MLB AD LIKE THE BASEBALL ZEN AD, it does not drop the game otherwise here we are again trying to reload the game after the commercial break. I have sent two emails to MLB Customer service and all they did was provide a case number and a link for troubleshooting TWICE. Great service NOT!
I signed up to watch my favorite team, understanding there was a blackout policy. I was able to watch my team for about 6 weeks and then the games were blacked out. After not getting any straight answers from a customer service representative and a supervisor, it was finally explained that someone made a mistake and I should not have been able to watch for 6 weeks because my zip code was blocked by Bally Sports. I was denied my request for a partial refund. I reported this to the Attorney General complaint division in my state.
They black out local teams that are not playing in town. No Allstar game. No field of Dreams game. $160.00 of wasted money. They force you to Peackock and other crap to buy their subscription. Will never renew mine! A 1 star review is too high!
Besides crashing at the most critical times during a ball game⦠You never know when or why a game will be a blackout. Of course you do have the option of listening in a foreign language to a radio show from somewhere. I will not renew my subscription.
Once in a while a game comes in properly the vast majority of times the screen goes blank the sound goes out where the picture goes out or it freezes it's terrible
Last Friday 7/22, I logged in to watch the Chicago Cubs vs. Philadelphia. I live in south Georgia so neither the Cubs or the Phillies would have blacked out the game. The Cub games was not available on MLB.com/tv. It was exclusively available on Apple TV+ In order to watch the game on Apple TV+ I was required to give them my credit. MLB.com/tv sold my rights to watch the Cub to Apple TV+
I was not going to give Apple TV+ my CC.
I was quit upset, and called MLB.com/tv. I asked to cancel my subscription and issue me a partial refund.
The individual I talked said he completely understood, and submit a refund request. On Monday I received an e-mail, my refund request was denied. What a bunch of BS
Sadly there is no negative five star option on this rating system.
MLB. com is a perfect example of how MLB and team owners view fans. Obviously they have contempt for us. How else would they put up a crap product like MLB.com? There are mom and pop businesses out there providing better web experiences than this crappy MLB.com
What a waste of money pay monthly fee to watch your favorite team and find out every game is blacked out don't waste your money unless you want to watch the games later instead of live I better not get charged next month the review should be zero
Horrible streaming service. Cancled same day when I installed free trial because even the agent couldnt fix what I was doing. Found out 7 days later they charged me $140! Now its jumping through loops trying to request it back because I'd get an email saying it was denied so then I called and they "escalated " the issue which meant a call back within 24-48 hours. Nothing. 2 weeks now into now. JUNK.
Since I paid for a full year of MLB TV my favorite team is the Yankees. Why can't I get peacock for free for that game and Prime video for free for that game. I am certainly not going to take out peacock for $5 a month and I don't like Amazon and Prime video. I am entitled to all games that I paid for.
Had we have known EVERY game we want to watch would be blacked out I wouldn't even signed up for the free trial. Shame on me for attempting to cancel that 7 day free trial on day 8 and got declined for a refund. I guess I needed to dig a little deeper, expensive lesson learned. Since it is MLB, I assumed we could watch some games.
The only reason I even signed up for the free trial period was so my 75 YOA father who recently moved in with me could watch "his" team. How do you expect people to cheer on their team when you can't watch them on any streaming service. Bally Sports North is the only channel, and the only service that carries them is DirectTV stream for $90 per month.
Glad you want baseball to stay as the American game! Very is not even a strong enough word, but VERY disappointed in MLB and the lack of accessibility for people to watch their local teams. Even the NFL allows their games to be broadcast on regular TV. I guess we should stick with the old reliable transistor radio.
What a disgrace! It shouldn't even get 1 star, but it won't allow me to give 0!
A major change needs to happen with MLB umpires and the ridiculous calls made against players. A prime example is the Jays versus New York on May 10 and the call against Garcia. If you want more viewers clean up the officiating!
I purchased what was supposed to by NLCS tickets if the SF Giants made it last year, ut they unfortunately did not. They accidentally posted the sales for the NLCS and tickets but were not supposed to. Instead is refund my purchase, I found hit I was charged for tickets for a game I was already attending. I contacted my he Giants who said they could not refund my money since potential game date had passed. They did I could work with ticketing in 2022. End result is I spent $700+ on tickets last October but only was offered one game this year which would be about $100. They are not offering any merchandise or food credits, or another game. They made $600 off of me!
Sick and tired of net getting the Red Sox announcers on the MLB.COM, very annoying listening to the opponents local ads, etc noise, when can I expect to get the Red Sox announcers, very soon or I'm cancelling the subscription.
Yes I'm pissed off
