We were hiring new employees and signed up for a free trial through monster.com. We only had one applicant in that free trial time frame, so we decided to sign up for a full actual month. It was literally hundreds of dollars to get 4 applications- 2 which were not even local and wouldn't be able to work anyway. We were hopeful that spending so much for quality applicants we would at least have one we would hire.
My order ID is *******
I paid 6K for resume writing. After 13 days no update from Monster.
But status showing as completed. I escalated many times with Monster. No response only false promise.
Please think twice before buying a service package from Monster service team
As soon as you have paid, your account manager becomes extremely unresponsive. Takes a whole month to write a cv, not because of back and forth edit, but because of radio silence from their team. Complete rubbish service. Avoid!
This site does not have relevant resumes for your needs. Database has most of the fake ones and keywords has its limits and it doesn't give you the option to choose people based on their years of experience nor their work authorization. Worst part of it all is that it auto logs you off from the search, the moment you take a break or the moment you look at another source for a few minutes and you need to log in again and enter the details to find the right candidate. It has limited reach to candidates all over where ever available. Thus, as a Recruiter and as a Current regretful user, I wouldn't advise anyone to use this platform if you ever think this will aid you in your search for finding the right talent.
Monster.com is one of the best platforms for job searching around the world and it provides a very easy and user friendly interface which makes it very convenient for anyone to search and apply for IT job and non IT. The portal has a quality database and is completely value for your money.
Bull$#*!
Cheat the people to get their money without any benefits.
Pills of bubbles
Dissatisfaction
I bought there resume build and booster/xpress services after many phone calls, they claim the best service and guaranteed interviews with big companies, this was my understanding, after payment I discovered this is junk and they buy resumes writing from other cheaper resources and no interviews. I lost over 200$
I paid for an advert I never was able to see the resumes. Apparently there is a 60 days expiring of your login that I was never informed. The advert still online and I contacted them but they refuse to share the applicants that applied to my job offer.
The monster platform is user-friendly for job searching, however the job postings are at times misleading. Also, when I receive job information, sometimes the location is so far away from the area that I am interested in or even in another state.
Once I signed up for monster and added my resume and info, I started getting 40 emails a day from recruiters in India advertising jobs I wasn't even aligned with. Don't sign up for monster because they just sell your info to a bunch of spammy recruiters.
This is a very outdated job search board. No job listings have any description of pay or benefits. All that's listed is what is expected of you, in multiple different sections. Key responsibilities, experience, job role, qualifications. And after all that, no mention or even a hint of what is in it for the employee. They act like giving you a job is the benefit and you should be happy you have that.
I have recruiters reach out daily, most of whom i can't understand, over the phone. Every one is for a different "recruitment and staffing" agency and every single one is the same. No mention of pay and they sometimes get upset when you ask. Why would i waste everyone's time only to get 3 interviews in to find out we're $30k apart on salary requirments?
Very scummy practices. Outdated, unprofessional, rude and no place in the modern post Covid workforce. Update your strategies and practices.
The age of pretending we work out of the goodness of our hearts, and not TO SURVIVE, are over.
Monster job site is free for job seekers. Navigation on the site is simple.
As a candidate, I posted my Resume for a technology contract jobs. Ended up landing in a short-term contract.
My experience is positive based on the recruiters contacting me and connecting with Employers.
Monster will match you with any job that key words on your resume with no filtering. Looking for Data Base Administrator jobs? They will send you Administrative Assistant jobs. I also got calls for over twenty scam companies trying to get me to send my SSN. No one is verified, you might as well use craigs list to find a job. I had a terrible experience in the early 2000s with monster, I assumed they had improved in the last decade, they have not, stay away.
Monster has always been a cesspool of scammers and for-profit colleges. 95% of its leads are junk while the remaining 5% are commission based. I would receive unsolicited phone calls from University of Phoenix recruiters and they said they got my number from Monster.com. And once you enter your email address in your monster profile, you can't change it.
Don't waste your money. I spent good amount of money with an expectation of something good. But disappoint to say, their services are disaster.
As a recruiter, I've used Monster off and on for 20 years and they still act like they are the only game in town. They don't make any effort to remove duplicate resumes, perhaps because it's part of their business model: charging recruiters for resumes they've already viewed.
I deleted my resume before I closed my account with monster.com. 2-3 months down the road I started getting emails, text and calls from agencies for job opportunity. When I asked how they get into my resume the person replied its from a job portal career builder or monster. I do not have account with CB.
I paid $139 to get my resume done by monster September 20th only to have the 1st writer never do my resume! After 6 days of nothing I reached out through email letting monster know what was going on I haven't anything I already paid I was supposed to receive my 1st draft in 5 days? I received an email back stating the writer could not fulfill my needs so they were putting me with a new writer "Tiffany H" and adding a cover letter free of charge. The 2nd writer "Tiffany H" sends me my 1st draft with banking management as my trade⦠Noooo I'm a retail manager! I have 10 years of experience, the writer puts 5yrs of experience. The margin and spacing were so big like a child did this. Definitely a rush job! I replied to the writer multiple times with the corrections I'd like done. The writer just kept copying the same email over and over saying thank you for the information and attaching the same resume without any of the corrections I asked for. Now it's October 5th! Still no corrections! I paid them September 20th! I reached out to customer service again letting them know what my issues are and at this point I want a refund! I'm not going to keep sending changes just to keep getting the same resume how ridiculous! So now I can't get a refund because they delivered me a horrible resume! Who does that? They do not stand behind there service at all! And they won't refund your money after sending you a bogus draft. Save your money MONSTER IS A JOKE!
Paid $180 for 50 resumes views, only did 14 and Monster told me I'm out of inventory! Scam and a RIP OFF. I want my money back. I did not view 36 resumes only 14! Don't use MONSTER
