I ordered a make up. When it finally arrive through fed ex, box arrive but the bag was stolen from inside. The delivery driver took it. I call for another and claim was denied. I wouldn't go through all this to get another bag that was only 20 dollars. So now they are refusing to replace and/or refund.
Their return policy is 30 days. This is entirely too short in my opinion. And this policy is not very clearly seen unless you are looking for it. I will not be spending my $ there again. It's a sad day.
I used to love shopping at Neiman Marcus Department stores. These days I do most of my shopping online and find the website and mobile app to be boring and not easy or fun to use. Because of the presentation, the merchandise is uninspiring at best. Time to revamp your online shopping experiences NM Team!
Shipping and returns are quick and easy.
I have purchased about 10 items and they split it into 3 parcels. First one never arrived and second one was damaged and only the candles in the third parcel had no problem. Try to speak to Neiman Marcus about claiming the lost of the first parcel but the claim was denied without a reason. Also the second parcel the customer service rep said I can make a claim but at the end the claim was denied again. So i end up spending $500+ for a candle and have to dispute the charge from the bank as they refuse to refund. What a headache and I will never ever shop online from this store again
I ordered a chemise to be shipped to Singapore and inside the box is a Mens Givenchy Jacket that has been shoved like it's garbage. I waited a couple days wondering if NM is going to contact me about the wrong item shipped. Nothing! I sent the item back and it's been almost a month and still waiting for my credit to show up. Other online retailers (Netaporter/MatchesFashion/MyTheresa/Farfetch) with an International shipping platforms do not take a MONTH for refunds. Avoid Neiman Marcus if you live outside of the United States.
Neiman Marcus is a joke, meaning unbelievable. The outrages prices and the process for returns is Fd up. Its like the company is a sham... I bought a 168 dollar bottle of perfume online didn't like it[the scent didn't last past an hour] so I sent it back... a month ago at the writing of this review... spoke with customer service FINALLY they said it [the return] was up for review and would take 7 to 10 days... WHY?
The try to remove the promo code when you place the order and delay the sending of gift card, so they can tell you your are not eligible later. I initially thought it's a rumor but unfortunately I was the unlucky one on my first try. Also the gift card will be sent in 6-8 weeks and expire really quickly so most of people will forget them. Take the warning, and think twice before you buy.
Unhelpful and unapologetic. Was literally delivered the wrong products (after a long wait) and the customer service rep couldn't care less, and did not try to fix the problem.
Subpar service. They pride themselves on not being Nordstroms but Nordstroms way out does them on service, return policies, service, alterations, service, transparency etc.
Better service at Zara and that is not saying much.
Impossible to find sales staff. Had to break in to a change room after looking for a clerk for 30 minutes.

Never in time when you paid and when the agent promised me the overnight delivery. I had to cancel two orders because of their lie!
Today my daughter and I were looking for a rehearsal dinner, an after ceremony dress and a suit for myself. After having no luck in finding someone who wanted to help I ran into Daniel. He was very pleasant and he asked what we were looking for. He listened attentively and showed several outfits. He was very professional and didn't lose interest or dropped us when we couldn't find the size or color we wanted. He also tried to find us the item online but it wasn't available. As a long time shopper at NM, I must say that they are the epitome of high end department stores. Their customer service, shipping and online site are awesome. All of my favorite brands can be found here. And when they have sales going on, you bet your bottom dollar I will be there to scoop up anything worth buying.
I had such a good luck to encounter Ms Basha Green at the Roosevelt Field Mall as I was buying an evening gown to attend a gala, Ms Green was so knowledgeable, so helpful, o customer oriented, she made me feel so special, she left me with the impression that this where you should come back at the time, definitely she is a great asset to your company
It took more than 2 weeks for the item to even ship out of their warehouse, let alone be received by the shipping company, in spite of their 5-7 days delivery boasted on their website. I didn't receive the item meant to be a gift in time for my friend's birthday, when I could have just bought it elsewhere if NM were more upfront about their true shipping times.
Easy, convenient returns. The online retailer also has such a great variety of pieces from various designers. The retailer also frequently has special deals and markdowns.
I have shopped at NM for years spending many $$$$$. However, tonight (and it has happened before) they had to go into a deep dive for my credit card that had plenty of $ available for purchase. Credit card company called me and I answered all questions (of course, it was my credit card). However NM did not approve purchase and now that credit card is restricted! I will never shop at NM again!
No wonder NM is hurting financially and going out of business.
I ordered an eyelash curler in the beginning of December. A very simple order, one item, around 36 dollars. It was intended to be a Christmas gift, so I ordered it long before Christmas, almost a month ahead of time.
I had ordered from Neiman Marcus once or twice previously, and shopped at the store with no issues over the years. So, I was blown away when this happened. Essentially, without wasting too much more time, I ultimately ended placing FOUR CUSTOMER service calls, amounting to over an hour of call time. Each time, I was told to wait for my package, which was showing as on the truck for delivery, and being updated daily, but then never being delivered. Ultimately, Christmas came and passed (a month out), and they told me the package was still coming. I asked them to cancel my order on the third call, and they told me to wait, and promised it'd arrive by Tuesday. Tuesday came and passed, so I called again.
I told them I wanted a refund immediately, and my order cancelled. They refused to refund me until the package was returned to sender. I was shocked, as the package had clearly been lost for a month, and I'd wasted so much time. The woman I spoke to agreed that management was in the wrong, and should have refunded me immediately.
Two days later, I checked tracking again, and lo and behold, my package was located, and on the way back to the factory. It eventually arrived, but never to me. (Oh, and I'm never sure if I was refunded, because I the charge was over a month old, and I was too exhausted and angry to check. Double bonus, by the time the package was returned to sender, Saks Fifth Avenue had already delivered the same eyelash curler they never delivered to me. I placed the order from them the day I cancelled my order with Neiman Marcus, and they agreed to return to sender.)
Long story short, I will NEVER ORDER or shop at Neiman Marcus ever again, and they have the absolute worst customer service, shipping and management (overall logistics) I have ever encountered in my life.
I wish I could get the time I spent back. It takes FIVE screenshots to show you the tracking history of the package. An entire month's worth... literally, it makes me so angry thinking about this again.
Ordered a versace belt for a birthday gift. Opened package to find a oversized random dust bag containing just the belt. No box/no authentication. Payed all that money to get it stuffed in a random bag not even knowing if it was switched for a fake from the distributor or not. Came very un professional/un authentic looking. Very disappointed thought this was a high end store
Neiman Marcus has the worst customer service I have ever received. I went to make a $1,500 purchase for my mother for Valentine's Day and they cancelled my order because they said my purchase "did not pass their fraud check". I quickly went to my banking app and approved the charge which they then cancelled again. None of this I knew until I realized that my email address for confirmation was slightly off (I accidentally for one number). I reached out to the live chat on Neiman Marcus to send me my order details and that is when I found out my order had been cancelled NOT once but TWICE. I am instructed to call Neiman Marcus directly which I do immediately. I speak to a woman who was of no help and asked to speak to a manager to understand why my charge kept getting declined on THEIR end. The manager, Garry, told me there was a process that the fraud department goes through and that it is not up to him to decide. After several passive aggressive comments, I asked him why I should try and reorder from Neiman and not order my purse from Saks. He answered with "you should definitely have a backup plan". As someone who is head of sales, I am honestly laughing. What manager suggests I should order from another company? Apparently the people who work at Neiman. At the end of the conversation, I asked Garry how I can ensure that my reorder does not get cancelled yet again. His response... "we can't ensure that. You will just have to wait and keep trying". This will be the last time I order from Neiman Marcus again. There are far better "luxury" stores out there that I will be giving my business to. Perhaps I just got a lazy manager, but if you are thinking of ordering from Neiman Marcus with the hopes of having good service. Just don't. Go to Saks or Shopbop.
I returned a mail order gift that didn't fit my love. I had to purchase the gift from a different store. I paid for the original gift from NM using my credit card. NM sent a check to my love as a refund instead of crediting my account.
I won't use NM for gifts in such a manner - too much confusion was caused here.
