I purchased the Gluten free Vanilla Cake mix. You would think there would be directions on the bag? No. Lol I had to look it up on their website. The directions they gave were for 3 cups of the mix. There are only 2 cups in the bag….it would have been nice if they were upfront with that tidbit of info when purchasing….After I revisited my 6 grade fractions lessons, I was able to figure it out. Haha.
I wish I was able to at least review this product on the Nuts.com website, but I'm sure they already know the reviews will look like so they probably removed the "write a review" button.
The cake, once baked, was very good. I did however use half and half instead of water. I do a lot of gluten free baking, so I know that it's tricky to try to make a cake moist.
Here's what I used for one bag of Vanilla cake mix: 2 eggs, 1/3 cup of veg.oil, and I started with 2 table spoons of 1/2 & 1/2, but wound up using a few more splashes of the 1/2 & 1/2 until I got the consistency of cake batter. I also added another teaspoon of vanilla. Bake at 325 for about 15-20 minutes. The tops were not browned, but they were cooked when a fork was inserted to check for doneness. Hope this helps! I've been a repeat customer and recently received two 1 lb. bags of unsalted dry roasted peanuts with my order. The nuts had black spots on the surface. Some were covered with a grey substance. I emailed them them pictures of the spotted peanuts and how they did not meet my expectations. I requested a refund since the peanuts are inedible. The rep apologized and offered to give me store credit not the refund I requested. No thanks. I will no longer be ordering from them.
I have had strong gluten reactions to several of the "certified gluten free" products. They have many ingredients in these products that are subject to cross contamination. If you have celiac disease or are gluten sensitive I would avoid Nuts.com as their labelling isn't trust worthy.
The products they sell are average quaility at best, sometimes a lot worse. Their prices are maeked up tremendously. But the worse aspect of this company is their customer service that treats customers like adversaries.
The shipping department regularly misses items, and then customer service wants to play amateur detective by checking shipping weights and asking for photos of items from the shipping, thinking that we simply kept all products sealed in the bags in which they arrived.
I would avoid the headaches and not do business with Nuts.com.
By the way, Nuts.com by default sells and shares your information to third parties. You need to complete a form twice to opt out, and even then, they don't seem to process those requests.
I ordered three items. The delivery was so quick, I thought it came from my city and state. I ordered one day, the delicious snacks arrived the next day early! It was my very first time here. I look forward to ordering many items from Nuts.com!
First time ordering from them & their delivery service is BS, saying they can't deliver because of an incomplete address...somehow it all sounds like a scam
Don't count on any items being delivered on time which can be a huge issue if you order anything that can melt. Promised 24 hrs and it took more than a week. Poor updates and communication.
It says if they took a 20 year old cracker and harden it with no salt or flavor whatsoever. The Asian mix was absolutely terrible and it's one of the favorite things I enjoy in life and they did not deliver.

Their nuts are expensive but, typically, you get quality for your dollar. In my case, I ordered six bags of different nuts and nut products, totaling $75. I received my package quickly. The outside of the box was perfectly dry but the bags inside were soaking wet. I notified Nuts.com and, apparently, some packaging that they used had imploded. This was not the first time, according to the customer service staff. Their response was to give me $10.00 off my next order. Are you kidding me?
In the past I enjoyed Nuts.com CHOCOLATE COVERED RAISINS. They were so large and juicy that I even ordered just raisins to give as gifts. That was two years ago and NUTS.COM no longer gets their raisins from the same source. I ordered four (4) pounds and am soooo disappointed that the raisins are so tiny, and the heavy milk chocolate covering is so disproportionate to what it's covering that it's cloying. I tried to complain on their site through a CHAT to no avail. I'm never going to order anything, even the sesame crunch that I like, ever again. CAVEAT EMPTOR!
Plus the price went up a couple dollars too. I feel I've been baited and switched on. Not a good feeling after forking over so much money. Ten buck a bag.
To add pictures of the much smaller pieces serves no purpose as you'd have to be able to compare them to what they used to offer.
It took a dozen emails and a photo sent to this company to finally get it through their heads that their salted product actually was shipped to me and HAD NO SALT on it. They refused to correct it. I will never order from them again
I have been ordering my fruitcake ingredients from Nuts.com for years. This batch is old, dry and hard, I am so disappointed. I won't take another chance on them.
Have been buying from this company for many years. Everything is tasty but there is a serious problems with the Cashews. Recently bought Jumbo salted cashews and as I opened the bag there was a a bad smell. They looked old and withered (begging for mercy). Tasted them and they were stale, soft and expired. Some have little holes, a sure sign that something is eating them. Nuts.com should be aware that the cashews have expired but insist on selling them. If other people have the same problems, please do a review and let the company know that they need to stop selling expired products. After all, these nuts are NOT cheap.
I ordered from Nuts.com first a in 2022. The first shipment arrived on time and was correct. The second order place with them, did not arrive. I sent an email explaining the missing order, the shipped a replacement order which arrived in three days, and an apologetic email. I have price their products, specifically the fruit powers and found them to be competitive or better priced in larger quantiles than many other outlets.
I was really looking forward to my order. I was nervous because it was chocolate and it's hot out but was reassured because they ship fast and use insulated bags and ice packs. Unfortunately my order was delayed and the insulated bag they shipped in wasn't sealed completely. This meant my five 1lb bags of various chocolate covered goodness where 5 1lb bags of melted mess. When I let them know about the state of my order I was happy to take a credit for the order but unhappy to find out that they don't fund tax so it isn't enough to rebuy my order. After I use my credit,sometime in the fall to prevent melting, I won't be ordering from them again.
I have been a customer of Nuts.com for a few years now and have ALWAYS found them accommodating when I had an issue. In the past I have received a full refund on an order because only one baking item arrived late; I commented once on grape fruit slices...although delicious in flavor, I said they were cut a bit thick for my taste. Another refund. And just recently, I reviewed two products I didn't care for and again...refund. I don't ask for a refund; I just review the product and they send me an email telling me they have credited my account. Frankly, I feel they pay attention to the comments and want to keep the customer satisfied. I will continue to use this family based company and recommended them to everyone.
I ordered several items on line and was amazed that site said order would be delivered (free) in 2 days. After 3 days, received an email apologizing for the delay and estimating delivery within 48 hours and providing a tracking link. Tracking link showed that order never left the plant although it indicated order would arrive by 6 pm day 5. Not received. Called and cancelled. After reading some other reviews complaining about poor quality, I'm glad I had to cancel.
