I'm being coming to Petsmart since 2000. I took my 12 lb dog to grooming today 08/25/21 as usual. I did the appointment online. Tori, the groomer, she has a bad attitude to a customer, she was lifting my dog legs looking for hairballs in my dog, which she didn't have it. My Sammy turn to her to showed her that she was hurting her on dogs way. My Sammy didn't do anything to her. She said that my dog bit her. I was there, she didn't. I asked her to showed me where she bit her. Of course she didn't have anything. And again, with bad attitude she was saying "does it, I'm not taking your dog"... she was with bad attitude with my dog, and with me (the customer). Of course i wasn't to leave my dog at all with her.
Thanks to her Never i'm going back to petsmart again. And I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. No more banfield either. Im taking all the money I spend in that store. Thanks to your employee TORI (GROMMING SALLON OF PEMPROKE PINES, FL)... And of course she text me "thank you you will no longer receive msgs from petsmart unless you text us again."

If I could give zero stars I would. Two weeks after I have ordered a bag and case of dog food, no delivery. It took 4 days to even have the shipping started, they refused to cancel the order even though it hadn't been shipped. Next, it travels from CA to UT to NV to IN to OH, arrives in Miamisburg only to sit on their hot trucks for 3 days so far. I've called both FedEx and petsmart and neither know where it is and petsmart refuses to refund it or request that it be returned to the shipper, which FedEx requires directly from the shipper. So I'm out almost $100, no dog food has arrived, every day FedEx says it's on the truck, then changes it to some obsurd excuse for not delivering, not that I would feed it to them at this point after it's likely spoiled on their hot trucks, and petsmart refuses to refund or have FedEx return it to them. Absolutely unbelievable and the one and only time I will buy anything from petsmart.com.

Grooming

I have taken my dog here many times. No problems. I took her here last weekend, she can home terrified. I was looking at her paws, she has burn marks. The girl that took care of her did not care at all. While I was picking her up, another groomer was yelling at a dog. Never again will I take my baby there... HORRIBLE

I swear they are are trying their best to make you never want to shop with them again. Whoever designed the website must a competitor or someone who hates the company. Items become randomly unavailable/available for shipping as you add or remove other items. Coupons/promos don't show, login doesn't work, and checkout screens simply stop working when you click next step. Feels like using a website from the 1990's. The site then sent me to a survey page asking why I didn't complete my purchase with them today. After I wrote down my feedback I noticed there wasn't even a submit button or any other way to submit the page I just wasted more time completing. See first line of this review.

PET SMART/BREACH OF CONTRACT
June 19, 2021

My wife was at Pet Smart today, and the bill was 22.51 and she gave the cashier 23.01. The cashier said would you like to round it off, and, my wife said, not today…So, then she told me that they didn't have any coins the bank is not sending them any. She then said, you don't have any nickels or dimes and she said, not. We feel they should reduce the price of the purchase…THIS IS A BREACH OF CONTRACT…

I went to pick up my puppy from grooming area and they gave me the wrong dog, told me it was mine and they didn't have any others like mine back there. Gave me their leash to borrow to put this dog in my car. Went back in there still telling them it wasn't my dog. They finally checked the back area and my dog was still back there.
I had told them this dog was skinnier and more brown and more energetic and had white on his face not like my dog. They told me that shampoo changed color and that dogs age and change color. I showed them photos of my dog and they asked me how long ago they were taken which they were taken 2 days before I was showing them. They asked me if I wanted to bring "my" dog back in and have them try to wash the white off the dogs face because I was telling them all the features the dog they gave me had that my dog doesn't have. Spoke to general manager who told me he had no idea why they would say they had no other dog like mine back there since they had 4 labs that day. They were not believing me when I was telling them the dog they gave me wasn't my dog. This dog they gave me attacked me and scratched me everywhere arms legs everywhere. They were so insistent that that dog was mine, my boyfriend with me became convinced. But I knew my baby so I wasn't leaving until I got my dog. But yeah they finally checked the back and they were like oh yeah he was back there with his name and everything. Attached are images of my dog versus the one they had me put in my car trying to get me to take him home.

I got a glofish beta and brought him home and he was fine that night we the next day all his fins were falling off and he couldn't swim right he was always laying in his side couldn't go up to the top of the tank so i thought about a bigger tank and a little friend to get him so i got him and bigger tank and a african claw frog and he still acted the same and he died about 3 and 1/2 days after i got him

Terrible grooming

Ananda was the groomer in Dawsonville Ga. I paid $59 for a horrible hair cut. She doesn't listen to how you want your dog groomed she isn't nice to your pet he was there for three hours and I don't think she ever offered water to my pet. I don't recommend anyone to take their pet there to be groomed. VERY ANGRY

The worst experience EVER!... my 11 yo dog had an appointment with Alivia for 11:30 am at the only store located at Yuma, Arizona on 03/11/2021... arrived at 11:00 am and was told to wait outside for Alivia to show up. At 11:30 am, another lady after finding out Alivia was not coming (she was not supposed to work that day) told me that because my dog medical history (my dog had ONE seizure 11YEAR AGO when she was a puppy) she needed to be rescheduled in order to meet her "special needs"... my dog DOES NOT NEED and NEVER HAS NEEDED any special accommodations the past NEITHER at the veterinary office NOR any other grooming salon... I was never asked about my dog's medical or veterinary history when I was setting the appointment over the phone... Awful service!... I will never come back to that store for any reason...

Families in danger

They constantly put lives on the line. They jeopardize their employees who get paid minimum wage to work with animals who may be sick, scared, or just leave feces everywhere and they let children and adults play in an environment covered in $#*! and piss and on somedays blood. Please don't take your animals here because they don't give two $#*!s about health and hygiene and your pet would be happier and safer going to a vet or legit groomer or just a nice rummage sale for what they need.

It has been 6 days since I first contacted Petsmart CS that the website would NOT accept any of my 3 credit cards nor could CS put the charge through. I have still not heard back from Petsmart, who was supposed to correct the error within 2-3 days. The checkout failed to verify my 3 working cards, Visa, Discover, Am Ex, from different banks. Each bank verified the cards were active w no problems and that they NEVER received any approval requests from Petsmart. The checkout also did not give the option to use PayPal. The PayPal square was greyed out. I tried different browsers, verified personal information on credit cards, opened second Petsmart account in sister's name & cards, tried different phone numbers, emails, nickname and nothing worked. I contacted CS 3x and spent over 2.5hrs.
I WAS PREVENTED FROM MAKING A PURCHASE ON YOUR WEBSITE, FOR NO VALID REASON, & NOW THE PRODUCT IS UNAVAILABLE! PETSMART HAS MANY COMPLAINTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BUT DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. WHAT KIND OF $#*!ED UP COMPANY IS THIS? FYI: I purchase all my needs on-line to prevent going into stores and have not had any other site fail to verify my credit cards, ONLY PETSMART.

Terrible Website
March 5, 2021

Ordered a clipper, 2 days later my order disappeared form their website. Called, they put it back. 2 days later it disappeared again. Called again and they said the item was on backorder and my order would be automatically cancelled. What modern company lets you order a product without having it in stock and then makes you wait 5 days to tell you? I will not be doing business with them again.

Im getting so annoyed because everytime i order online a product says its in stock and then 2hours later they say "oh sorry its actually out of stock" well ive been waiting to go pick it up for the past 2hours so now i have to order again amd wait ANOTHER 2 hours getting so annoyed because its like this everytime and it takes forever for them to refund me

Beta fish
January 3, 2021

I am very upset about the way they are handling their beta fish. The poor fish are in cups smaller than the ones I use to drink water. Most of the Beta fish are laying on their sides or floating, and are severely depressed. The water is gross, and I feel so horrible for the fish. I am torn between buying a beta, and saving their life, or never purchasing from the store again because that is just supporting this irresponsible and unjustifiable behavior.
And aside from the Beta fish, at least 80% of the staff have no idea what they are talking about. They have told me things to do for my animals or about my animals that are just not right. When I was younger they kept giving us fish, and telling us to just fill and two gallon tank with tap water, and dump in the fish. No stress coat, no conditioner, no Ph down or up, no cycling the tank, they did not even tell us how to acclimate.

I drove 2.5 hours to get to Petsmart in Kingsport TN because it said online that they had African Dwarf frogs in stock and there are none close to where I live. The girl in the fish department told me they had none. I went online again today and it still said in stock so I called them. A nice person said they have them and they had them when I was there yesterday. Needless to say I am quite upset and disappointed in this store. Five wasted hours of driving. Hire someone who knows what they are doing!

Petsmart took full amt of my online order, but only 1/2 of order is assigned track number and email notice, no mention or record of other 1/2 of order, no tracking for it etc. yet cust. Svc emailing that it was already shipped and rec'd by me... LIES... and i can't even get online to look at my order info, their site has crashed and error message is all you get for a wk now. Can't even get a person on the phone to talk to! All I get are email replies that either have nothing to do with the issue (canned replies) or lies that 'it was shipped' yet no proof even that they sent the other 1/2 of order... plus no stock issue, because in all the stores, yet they aren't refunding the missing 1/2 of my order! I now have to file claims everywhere, and will NEVER use them again... If you don't want to lose your money and get ZERO PRODUCT in return, shop elsewhere!

Be careful

I placed an order because they had my puppy's favorite snack on sale - buy 3 get one free. At checkout it wasn't giving me the right price. So I contacted customer service and they said just place the order and we'll refund the difference. I placed the order, customer service never got back to me. 1 day shipping took about 3 and a half weeks to arrive. Plus the overcharged that just doesn't make any sense at all

Before I begin, I want to note that ONE older and physically smaller woman is EXCELLENT! That's all the good I can say. I suppose my complaint should be about upper management. The Garners Ferry store at Fort Jackson Blvd in Columbia, SC has the ONE wonderful employee that is knowledgeable and pleasant. Otherwise, the management team and staff are horrible. Time after time I have purchased items that are red tagged on the shelves at a reduced price of some sort. NEVER have these items been scanned at the advertised price. (I understand a one time error but not this continual issue) When I tell the cashier the price she charged me is incorrect the cashiers act impositioned, like having to walk to the shelf to "verify" annoys them. After complaining to management I understand the cashier's laziness and lack of interest. Management didn't care either and actually defended the cashier who only want to scan. If all she can do is scan then why not self serve? For the record, I have never left bad feedback before. THIS STORE DESERVES IT. Poor customer service and lack of employee enthusiasm is entirely different than falsely advertising prices... time after time.

Terrible Customer Service

Hello to all interested parties. On monday, 11-9-2020, we took our daughter to petsmart for her birthday to purchase an aquarium along with some fish, decorative gravel, etc... when we finally found an associate, the young girl appeared frustrated that she was being asked a question about some products. I'm sorry, but news flash, this is retail, and you are in customer service. Well, to make a long story short, my daughter wanted to get a 3 - 5 gallon tank for a couple of very small fish. The associate informed us that the fish needed a 50 gallon tank... YES, A 50 gallon tank for 2 tiny fish. When we showed her the 3.5 gallon tank, she said that she couldn't sell it to us... asked why, she merely replied, i just can't. It's too small... I've NEVER been refused service to purchase anything... that being said, this petsmart in roanoke, VA will NEVER get another dime of our family's business. Furthermore, i honestly hope that CHEWY eventually puts them out of business, so as to teach them a valuable lesson in customer service..

Irresponsible Adopting
November 3, 2020

In August I adopted two female Guinea pigs for my daughter from the Petsmart in Morrisville NC. It was stressed to us that they only sell females and they don't have males in their store. I trusted what was said to me. One of our GPs began putting on a lot of weight around her abdominal area. Because we had two females I thought she was just greedy. No way she's pregnant. It know a couple months later. Tonight my daughter said mom I'm worried, she's really big, I went to pick her up and I felt movement in her belly area, a lot of movement. I immediately took them both to the closest Petsmart because the vet offices was closed tonight. When we got to Petsmart the person at the store said yes she's definitely pregnant, she looked at the genitals of the other GP and said this is definitely a boy. I called the Petsmart location we adopted the GPs from and spoke to Chase. Not only was he rude but he was very defensive and said you had 14 days, we wouldn't have sold you a male guinea pig. I'd say the 14 day rule shouldn't even be a factor in this case and she's pregnant so. Bottom line is we were told we were adopting two FEMALE guinea pigs and now have a male and female. We can only keep one of them because two is more than enough for our family. I can't believe Chase had the audacity to be that rude and defensive, they were the ones who lied! Whether intentional or not, they didn't check to make sure they had girls, but told us they'd checked! He continued to be rude and defensive so I asked for his name and got off the phone him. The women at the other location that we took the GPs to be checked was so nice and even said keep me updated on how the mom's doing. She wasn't a vet and didn't give up medical advice but she was at least kind and showed some empathy with our situation. This is so messed up. I will NEVER adopt another pet from Petsmart. I can't trust that they will be honest about there pets or honor what they say. Everyone makes mistakes, but when you do, don't mistreat the customer if you're in the wrong, own up to it. I can except a mistake, what I can't accept being treated like crap. His behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable.
