The application process was simple, a smart phone came quickly (within a week), good service in the Manistee National Forest of West Michigan (usually no service). This phone and company are a blessing! Thank you QLink Wireless!

Its been 8 days now, and I finally got through to a live person. I had previously received an email asking me to call. The CSR could barely speak English. All he would say was call back. After 8 days of trying to get help, that's the last thing I wanted. Eventually he disconnected the call and once again I was unable to receive service.

What a disaster
November 19, 2018

I was trying to help my mom get a phone because she is on a fixed income. I mailed and also uploaded the necessary documents they required. ALL that happened was an email every other day saying they were still waiting for the information. Tried calling and you can't ever talk to a human being... NO CUSTOMER SERVICE whatsoever! It is 3 months later so I sent them an email to cancel and I am still getting their standard email with " waiting to hear from you". I think it's a scam

Unlimited is a fraud

Do not pay for unlimited service. They cut your data off due to excessive use! Talk about a scam. They don't slow it down. They turn it off! Go with boost Mobile and keep the junk phone as emergency only. Yes it's junk. Taxpayers should sue.

Q Link phones & service SUCK! Customer Service also sucks! Near impossible to get into ( Dept) & when U do, they do nothing for you but give U false platitudes to sell U " Unlimited" plans (on WORTHLESS phones that U have to buy bcz the "free" phones don't work! The ones U pay for do NOT work. Either!) that are NOT Unlimited plans, as promised, when they sold U!

They advertise "now", "today", and "instantly qualify" but after you sign up they ask for patience to mail your phone and say to contact them if you don't have your phone in 30 days.
The CSR I spoke to Jessica was great.

Complete Scam
October 11, 2018

Along with everyone else here, my phone does not, and has not ever worked. Also full memory because of the apps and ads they make me have on the phone, so I cannot receive messages and the system does not operate due to full memory. Just called them and they claim that since I was able to use the phone 41 minutes one month(out of the 1000 minutes i get) and use 100mb of data(ads or something because i have never used the internet or any type of data, it simply doesnt work) that that is proof that the phone works fine, even tho their troubleshooting clearly proved the phone does not work. When i asked to speak to a supervisor the guy put me on hold, same guy came back on and gave me a different name. I was irate, and asked to speak to someone else so i could file a complaint he told me there was no one else and hung up on me. Unbelievable.

Horrible service

Their application process is teadious and seems impossible to complete and they have no live human to communicate with and very limited things on their fully automated phone service, which only tries to encourage you to go back online and have another frustrating go at trying to navigate that.

When I first got phone was ok because I had another one until hard times hit. Hard to find a phone to replaces. The one. They send you. And when you do replace phone they cut service off to you get new phone so you have no phone something is not right they give more mins than most but I would go with safelink or assurance wireless

Just say NO!

This phone and service are junk. Internal memory is full and I have not downloaded anything. Amazingly enough though it can download updates for ads! You cannot do anything (make a call or send a text) without ads popping up every 2 seconds. Nevermind getting to the home screen. That is a minimum of 4 ads to close. Not to mention your free 1GB of memory is eaten up every month by ads. Yep those ads popping up eat up the data. Yet even after my data runs out they still keep coming. Go figure. I would not even want to try using this phone in an emergency.

Below are 2 of the screens you have to go through to get to the home screen. After that it either pops up blurry with an x or as the 3rd picture shows it opens the ad you are trying to close.

If you're into frustration and have the patience of Job go ahead otherwise go with another phone company.

Unnecessary bull$#*! to even turn off a phone.
25$ for a replacement phone.
But yet will send u one for a 1$
Just to keep it active.
No use in 6 months but yet won't shut it off.
FAULTY AS OUR GOVERNMENT ITSELF.

Bad phone
July 17, 2018

Never had an issue until I recently had to replace my phone. I paid $25.00 and received the worst phone ever! It's the ZTE N818S. I FINALLY talked to a human on the phone (whom barely could speak English) Just for him to tell me that even if I send the phone back, there are NO return of the funds I spent for it. In broken English I was repeatedly told, "all sales are final. " Needless to say, I am EXTREMELY UPSET.

I didn't even want to give them one star. I was never notified to re-new my enrollment (they had the correct email address, wasn't in my spam, maybe they just didn't send it? I got one last year...) so my service was cut off. I spent a WEEK being told different things by different agents (apparently they don't take notes when you call so you have to explain yourself all over again) uploading documents multiple times and when I finally had enough and asked to speak to a supervisor "Oswaldo" did all he could to prevent it. Saying, I have to try to resolve it myself ma'am, I have to give them a reason for transferring to them". I told him to tell them it was regarding documents and he began to go into this spiel about keeping my phone on and making a call at least once a month. I told him I didn't want to hear it, to transfer me and he said it was Qlink's policy to tell this to their customers. He then started over and talked as SLOWLY as possible. Total smartass! He said bye 3 times with long pauses in-between. The supervisor was no help (surprise!) said he couldn't view my documents because another department had viewed them and they do the approvals. (I was told by an agent that they themselves view the documents and do approvals). RUN AWAY! There are other lifeline companies out there, QLink is private owned and they suck!

Qlink wireless

Just repeating the others. The ZTE n817 sent to qlink clients, who are typically the poor, and disadvantaged is absolute garbage. Defective phone that is plagued with problems. Qlink is well aware of the problem and does nothing about it. When your phone fails( and it will) they will try to send you a new one replacing junk with junk and the same problems. Customer service is non existent. They make it a policy to ignore emails. Only time that they respond is when they are publicly bashed on their Facebook page. Steer clear of qlink. You could end up without a phone for months

After reading some of these reviews I guess I am one of the more fortunate people. My phone I have had for 1 year, a ZTE piece of junk from China but it works. It does have mind of its own, seems to be some issues with the touchscreen and crappy software. It is so far inferior to anything out there currently. It calls people by picking up the phone, cant download any software because its internal memory is so limited that it cant download any updates. I purchased a memory card for it to save pictures on to keep it working. The phone sucks, and you do get what you pay for. For use as a phone only, depending on your exact location it may work. I have wi-fi which I connect to in my home, sitting right next to my cable router, it always says it has a weak signal. The phone is so slow, if it accidently calls someone, you cant even hang up because there is a long delay before the screen comes up to hit the hang up button. Only use for minimum use and only phone. Even in SMS texting, there is only a few characters before it splits it into multiple messages receiving, what a headache. If you have a high tolerance for pain and frustration, get one.

After reading the terrible reviews I was bracing for the worst but so far I love qlink. They keep you posted online every step of the process and even though they are a bit slow they delivered my phone the exact day they said it would arrive and the phone is so much nicer than the very basic one I had with previous Lifeline Provider. All I can say is I am very pleasently surprised with qlink so far.

I applied for Qlink Wireless through the Lifeline Telephone Assistance Program. Their "customer service" is nonexistent. I have tried six times to get this issue resolved. I have called four times and emailed them through their help page on their website. I did get two emails back, but neither one of them was any help whatsoever. Both emails told me to wait 3-5 business days for an actual representative of the Qlink company to answer. The phone system is impossible. There is no way to speak to an actal live person. Color me very very unimpressed.
